Top 10 Beautiful Rainforests

I have been to several of these rainforests. New Guinea’s forests are truly a sight to behold. Really the most stunning place I’ve ever been. This video is funny, though. Three places in the US and not a mention of the grand rainforests of Africa. She spent so much effort trying so hard to pronounce Spanish words authentically, that she kept saying Orangatang. It’s two words. Orang Utan. It literally translates forest man in the Malay language family. And it’s “POPua” rather than “PAPua”. Just in case you wanted to sound like you knew what you were talking about. If I had the time and fan base to merit making one of these, I probably would have kept a bunch of the stuff on here. In place of El Yunque, I would have probably put the Congo (probably somewhere in Gabon if it were necessary to be specific). In place of the Sinharaja, either the forests of Sumatra or Sulawesi (or just gone with Indonesian rain forests). And in place of the Appalachian rain forest, I think the Chocó-Darien really deserves a mention. They say we know more about the bottom of the ocean than that forest. Finally, when they say that the Daintree is one of the few places on Earth where the rainforest meets the ocean, they are pulling that directly from the travel brochure. It is not at all true. If we’re talking actual open ocean, the Chocó of Colombia and the Darien of Panama are littered with places where this occurs. So is Gabon’s coast as well as Cameroon’s. We can see it on the Osa Peninsula of Costa Rica and even in several places in Mexico. Sumatra has several places where the jungle runs right down to the sands that are lapped by the Indian Ocean. Even heavily populated Java has at least three places where the rainforest comes right to the ocean. New Guinea along with dozens and dozens of its satellite islands has countless spots where the rainforest meets the waves of the Western Pacific. Further north, the remote Pacific coastlines of Samar and Mindanao islands in The Philippines have areas where this phenomenon also occurs. Those forests they showed in Madagascar? Yep. Right down to the ocean in places. If we’re talking about the sea as well - you know, just going by salt water? Thailand. Burma. Islands of Cambodia. Many parts of Sulawesi. Many of the Moluccan islands between Sulawesi and New Guinea. The Caribbean coasts of Costa Rica and Panama. Several undisturbed places in The Philippines like Camiguin and Palawan. I’ve just never understood this claim. I’ve seen it used for several places, including the Daintree. It’s just simply not true.

To the people talking about what she missed, the title is, "the most beautiful.." . This is an opinion. Not a video of your favorites, or the largest. She's not making a list of all the forests in the world, so there will be some missed.

Congo rainforest should be here

In my opinion the Atlantic Forest in Brazil should be on this list. The Grande Reserva Mata Atlântica (Serra do Mar region that runs along southeastern São Paulo, eastern Paraná, and northeastern Santa Catarina) and the Iguaçu National Park both contain great biodiversity.
