The only movie without a mean girl's trope and where the pretty and popular girl was actually nice and kind. The movie is innocent, cute, and close to reality without any extra sprinkling of unnecessary dramatic sequences. The great thing about Cher was that even in the moments when she could have come off as ignorant, show-off, and a bitch (for example in the scene about donating Italian outfits), she exuded this innocence and charm which made us like her even more. She was a simple girl and they didn't show her as a bitchy person just because she was rich. This is done so much today that it is almost stereotyping. This was not at all negative, and I believe that is what the producer was going for. It was easy to see and follow her character development, therefore, which is so unlike 'victim characters' of so many teen high school movies today. And I know this movie is about Cher being clueless about her own life and 'interfering' in others'; however, this is sweet and a simple journey of anyone who finds their own self in the process of helping others.
@@neddyconstant5816 do you mean a rboot of the book? I used to have the entire series , as I was lucky enough to be brought up from the very beginning of the 90s 😍😍😩🥰🙌🏾💃🏽 id love to watch it be brought more to life , especially with Alicia Silverstone being apart of it 🤩
@@movietimeateds69 and stay away from sleazy guys like her husband. I think mold contributed but didn't kill them. I believe she was unhealthy, underweight, anemic and wouldn't go to the hospital because she was paranoid. A decent husband or mother would have taken her or called an ambulance. I know they couldn't force her but if she was sick enough, I believe she would have gone. Such a loss! Her mother managed to survive and inherit everything though and the fact that they stayed in that house and she slept with her son-in-law is beyond questionable.
My sisters and I won tickets to see a preview of Clueless. They past out little goodie bags and in it there was a post card size card that had all the "slang" used in the movie and what the words meant. The way they talked in the movie was a really big deal. I kept that card tacked to my bulletin until I went to college🤣
Yes I agree it very similar to Jane Austin's Emma after watching Clueless like a million times then I watch Emma starring Gwyneth Paltrow at the cinemas I guest most of the scenes! 🤣🤣🤣
Hey MsMoJo, Well, yes. I was that guy who went to the movie theater every Sat. To see this movie, was the bomb! Loved Alicia so much! When it came out on VHS, I watched it DAILY!....yeah, I was a clueless fanatic! Talked, about it at work, all the time. My co-workers, could never get enough of my raves for the movie and the funny scenes, I brought up, whenever they did, something, to make me go there. I always, thought they could, remake this movie.....Cher/Josh could be the founders of a social media site, called....Clueless. That, Ariana Grande, could play their daughter, cause, she could memic all those Cher's.....comedy lines, like, "as if"....and do the "gum on the finger" part. Well, u know....I have ideas for it hehehe:)🙄 Absolute Classic. From seeing Alicia in this vid talking about her role, she still looks gorgeously fantastic🙄💕💖💖💖💖💖🤝Be Good🤝

@@plumdutchess It's still weird since they would have been probably living together. I am adopted and I have a couple of adopted siblings who I am not biologically related to. It would be weird if I decided to hookup with one of them. Which I would never do.
I worked with a woman who married her stepbrother. A real-life Cher and Josh, if you will. She claimed they didn't act on their attraction until they were both out of high school; I don't know if it was true, or she just said that to minimize the "ewww" factor. She seemed very happy, though.
Jesus died for you was buried and rose again on the third day according to the scriptures. If you confess with your mouth Jesus is lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead you will be saved. please repent of your sins and accept Jesus Christ as your lord and savior.
My first school uniform was yellow that my mom got me at K Mart. I had yellow shorts and a yellow shirt. Kids were looking at me like I was a space alien. I rocked that outfit.
My sister, cousin and I (I was 9) saw this movie on opening day with literally 2 other people in the audience. I thought it bombed in the box office in the traditional sense and nobody knew what I was talking about until it became sleepover staple.
Classic! I used to practice for distance track with this movie’s soundtrack on cassette in my walkman. Kids today better appreciate their music player options.
The costume person said that the blue plaid was great with the blonde hair mere moments after I was thinking yellow is the best with blonde hair. I think almost all blondes look good in yellow, But what do I know?

I actually told my first girlfriend that I was "spruing on her." **buries face in hands** But we ended up dating for a year, so I guess it worked! LOL!
alicia instead of reese or brittany over sarah michell geller no the cast itself brought laughs humor and style any other cast maybe wouldn't work well the wardrobe amazing no one else can pull off those works without the original may brit murphy rip
For the record, I don't care much for Amy Heckerling's virtue signalling because the term "AS IF!" was something we were using in the 80s as part of our "Valley Girl" vernacular, and I was living on the Southwest side of San Antonio and in Southern Utah at the time. The same for "Oh, my gosh" and "totally". If nothing else, "CLUELESS" brought it mainstream to a new generation.
