This is very misleading with lots of shots inserted of the wrong tents thereby undermining peoples ability to make a good decision, stick to less shots and only those of the actual tent in each case ?
Great tents here. I prefer tunnel tents for 4 season use but dome tents are good too. I modded my Tarptent Moment DW for 4 seasons by running the optional Crossing pole UNDER the fly after shortening it 6 inches. And for winter use my Tarptent SCARP 2 I ran two shortened X-ing poles run, yes, under the fly with ends secure in re-located grommets sewn just above the inverted V "Pitch Loc" carbon fiber struts. Both these tents are "bombproof" for wind and snow load.
I thought there was a single pole tarp tent in the list. They're all to fussy with flys and poles. The Teepee design was the FIRST tent and still is the best IMHO.
The Eureka Timberline has been around for decades and in my view, at about USD250, offers the best price to quality ratio. I had mine battered by 60mph plus winds and torrential downpours and never experienced it's safety limitations. Perhaps it's on the heavy side of some similar quality tents. And bulkier. And don't loose one of the plastic inserts for the poles! If I'm going to remote areas and I need a tent to ensure my safety without having to take out a 2nd mortgage in my house, it's the Eureka Timberline all the way. You won't see it in commercials like this one simply because it's not the latest in tent design.
There is a wide variety of tents out there....not only these companies. Compare with other companies like Kailas, Ferrino (since 1890s), etc. These are VERY expensive tents just for their name. I am in the Kilimanjaro Mountaneering business and we have good other options on Kilimanjaro. Be more adventurous and talk about the other tents too. Do a better research...
@@Godisfirst21 I wasn't being mean. Maybe you tell your kids or grandchildren (or yourself) they are amazing at everything they do all the time when they are not. You do more harm than good when you do that, lady.
That's unfairly harsh. He's speaking perfectly well but just with a slight accent. Given that it's presumably a second language for him he did a fabulous job.
