More Honorable mentions: Recess, Rugrats, The Powerpuff Girls, Hey Arnold, Dexter's Laboratory, ed edd n eddy, etc. EDIT: Recess is getting a live action 🤗🤗
How WatchMojo makes a video. 1. Look on RU-vid for top ten lists on lesser known channels 2. Steal video and change 1-2 choices 3. Remake your own lists and change 2-3 choices so people don't remember you already did the same video years ago 4. Always make a few choices obscure to prove you attended film class to be annoying 5. Intentionally leave out popular choices so you can make a part 2 video of the same thing (Thundercats in this particular instance) 6. Post video
This was the perfect video to wakeup to on Saturday morning lol reminds me of "One Saturday Morning" "Fox Box" and so many awesome marathons I'd rush to the TV to watch with a bowl of cereal in hand...ah the good ol days....
@@crhiston8634 spongebob is 2000's show way more than a 90's show literally came out may 1999 not at all worthy of a spot or a part of a 90's kid growing up life.
@@Rocker-1234 it's actually not that bad give it a shot I've watched the original and it's definitely better but as far as successors go the new one's not terrible
@@aidan8225 Yup, with some Fox Kids and WB mixed in. Some solid cartoons, but leaving out all the great Cartoon Network and Nick shows from what many consider the second golden age of animation is a huge oversight IMO.
My favourites are Doug and Daria. Surprised they're not on here. Even though there is a full song version of the Daria song, I read that it was technically written specifically for the show.
Maybe I'm biased because I'm 34, but the amount of great cartoons we had in the 90s was incredible. This list didn't even include anything from Nickelodeon or Cartoon Network!
I’m offended Arthur is a honorable mention!!! That song was lessons, impact, culture, good vibes , well written ,it really got the blood flowing ... WHAT MORE DO YOU WANT!!!!
The Shadow just like Darkman is another old vigilante with the looks like cartoon Darkwing. There was even a movie from '94 starring with Alec Baldwin.
Hannah Siler it’s fine, probably because people didn’t see it cause it’s hard to get in the top comments but when I do it blows up, my highest is 5k likes 😅
WM: lists why certain songs won’t be considered Me: awww they were iconic for the 90s Edit: it’s annoying they’re adding “catchy” theme songs to a show who lasted only a year or less.... like what?
Love the Magic School Bus theme song (almost as much as the Arthur, Tiny Toon and Animaniacs ones) . Wonder if the reason Pokémon theme song "Gotta Catch Em All" wasn't on this list is because it's an anime.
Wasserman's X-Men theme brings back memories of kid me hunting Memphiswide for all 12 VHS tapes comprising the 1st season back in the early 90s. Saban/Fox Kids sure knew how to get kids hooked on serialized storytelling.
I've heard that Mighty Ducks theme song a million times.... and had no idea it was Jefferson Starship's Mickey Thomas singing it! Thanks for the interesting tidbit.
For popular songs, missing out on the likes of Spiderman, Doug and Gargoyles is pretty bad. But unequivocally the best opening theme for a cartoon in the 1990's was King Arthur and the Knights of Justice. Nothing else, not even X-Men compares.
No. 1- Ducktales *Ducktales!* Ooh-ooh, not only the old song from the 90's even the reboot version is the same catchy, Oh they rewrite the history of cartoon songs.
*So excited for the Rocko's Modern Life movie coming soon on Netflix. Rocko was my shit as a kid, among other cartoons!* (EDIT: Wait. Rocko didn't even make the list? Not even Spongebob?!)
