Same.... I always get armor with a useless effect, and when i do get a good weapon, like a Gauss rifle, it usualy has a bad effect, like the junkies effect.

It's annoying if you get a crappy weapon with a good effect or a good weapon with terrible effect.

Lol never fire at your feet with an explosive shotgun 😂

Acrobat armor works great with explosive shotguns. Jump from high point to high point without fear of taking falling damage. The gun becomes a mini MIRV. You are far enough away that you won't take explosive damage, and all missed shots hit and explode right next to your target.

Explosive 10mm pistols are amazing if you find one, though

That's me with a Two-Shot MIRV Launcher....one-shotted myself even in fully upgraded X-01 Power Armor. Talk about having an "Oops!" moment. :P

@@Captainoob those are just unique variants (some of which dont even have legendary effects). I have more legendary effect weapons in my storage than unique guns

Junk Jet and the Alien Blaster are not unique, they are just incredibly rare. I think 2 or 3 Junk Jets can be acquired and if you have Nuka World you can obtain a second Alien Blaster from the Hubologist side quest.

If you have Nuka World and the Surveillance Creation make yourself a kill box at the Nuka World Red Rocket (their is only one spawn and its easy to enclose) then roll Gunners, later waves on Very Hard will sometimes have 2-3 Legendary Enemies. If your trying to Loot Lock, by save scumming the first time you go to the Institute, and enter the FEV labs one entrance leads directly to the storage area, that almost always spawns a high level Assaultron who can yield things like Explosive Minigun's and Two Shot Gauss Rifles. Alternatively you can go to the National Guard Training Yard, you can save scum at two points, once at each entrance as you progress through both buildings. The first area tends to spawn a Legendary Withered Ghoul who will spawn upwards of Hand Made Rifle's and Plasma weapons. The second area of that location will spawn a Legendary Glowing One which is a good spot to get your hands on a coveted Explosive Minigun. Hope that helps ;D Their's other locations obviously but those are the three main ones I remember, sadly the first one can only been done once I believe as the robots that spawn in the FEV area do not respawn.

I just got my first explosive minigun two days ago. Holy Shit, that thing really is as OP as people said it was! Having Heavy Gunner, and explosives expert maxed out makes ranged combat almost instakill. Unfortunately, much like when I got my first explosive shotgun, I need to learn how to stop suiciding.

I got a kneecapper and wounding minigun which one is better? I'd say the kneecapper for irradiated freaks like deathclaws or super mutants but I think wounding is better

just have to go for indirect explosions on Instigating Defiant is actually the better ML power, every shot will be double dmg without the Quad barrel.

Oh, you've to try it out at least once! Take the basher perk, jump into your power armor and grab your shedding mini-gun. It's so fun to use it on everything... except mirelurks.

@@starhornboy6495 Yea. It's a really great gun but the best legendary effect for the double barrel is the unlimited ammo effect.

IDK... He didn't take into account the double recoil that also seems to come with that 2-shot effect. Do an accuracy check with a dozen shots from the Overseer's Guardian against the nearest wall. The spread is all over tha place. Then try the same for a combat rifle with the same mods and look at the nice tight cluster. My guess is on a mini gun it would suck.. The 2-shot should drop down 2 spots after the poison and stagger..

Probably because the base item is good, plenty of other legendary effects would be much more op
