I still reference your other creature videos because of the brown books. Those videos helped me get all dorm pets in a years time so they're still worth something. And I'm suee this video will come in handy as well. Because I might have go after some of these cheaper creatures because the brown books are now useful for pet skins and study sessions. Thanks for your great advice as always.
Red books Come mostly from events, occasionally class rewards, also daily planner, stamp card, magical milestones, club rewards.... There's plenty of ways to earn books.

i know you tend to focus on what gets you brown books or red but are there any that are just well rounded in every way? besides griffin of course. any high level expensive ones that you’d recommend? things like the ashwinder or mooncalf never get mentioned
The thing about creatures is that generally none of it really matters - ar some point you will have all of them anyways. It is good to get them one at a time and gradually level them up for the extra energy, coins or gems that they give at each level and the Notebooks are just an added bonus. I push on the Brown books, because you don't spend any to get the creature, where's you spend more of the other ones to get back only a small amount back. I have Made a video that shows all of the creatures with all their rewards (it was a little while back so there might be a creature of two missing), but you can use that to see what the exact rewards are for the creature you want. But as I said - at one point you will have them all anyways 😉
It's not a bad idea though ;) I'm currantly at year 4 chapter 8, I have all the creatures which had a side quests so far + maybe 3-4 that has not. And I'm already almost lvl 10 magizoology.
when it comes to feeding the creatures in the reserve i have either gotten coins, attributes, an single energy, or only ever brown books. haven't been able to get any red books, yellow books, blue books, or gems at all. already have & that are at lv.10 are niffler, dircawl, fairy, fire crab, porlock, bowtruckle, acromantula, dung beetle, glow light bug, thestral, welsh green dragon, imp, chimera, gridylow, manticore, knarl, plimpy, doxy, griffen, murtlap, pixy, & kappa. need to get frost salamander, abraxan, chupacabra, norwegian ridgeback, billywig, hippogrif, chinese fireball, augurey, graphorn, kelpie, mooncalf, clabbert, flobberworm, leocruta, mt. troll, swedish short snout, dugbog, unicorn, yeti, hebrideian black dragon, hungarian horntail dragon, ukrainian ironbelly, opaleye, hodag, ashwinder, & thunderbird. almosthaveenoughtogetabraxan. currently have 94 food, 32 brown books, 72 red books, 17 blue books, 13 yellow books, & 114 pages. i have a quintaped at lv.9, matagot lv.8, fire salamander/gnome are lv.6 are the creatures that i have that are not currently at lv. 10. still need to get the small owl, small cat, antlered bunny, spider, & snail to obtain all creatures in the shop.
