Well. I wanted to be more diverse in my list in terms of style. Didn’t wanna focus to much on the dresses and leave out other silhouettes

You’re kind of forgetting that not everyone knows wants to be bothered with fashion jargon and intricacies. I try to simplify as much as possible to get my point across. But if we wanna talk fashion, I can TALK fashion for sure. Let’s not get that twisted 🤭😂

Why you here being a wet blanket with your comments? There are plenty of people who describe fashion technically…maybe just watch them. Fashion is supposed to be fun, expressive, something to enjoy like a good song. Does someone have to be able to explain music theory in order to like or dislike a song? No. Not everyone who enjoys something can, or wants to go to school or invest so much time studying that subject. That doesn’t mean they can’t share their opinions, or that their opinions aren’t valid and skilled. You may know the nomenclature of the fashion world…but if you have negative energy no one wants to hear your opinion. P.S. It may be a “film” festival, but what is a huge part of a film’s success? Costumes and design. Both film and fashion are forms of visual art and go hand in hand. Also, for the average person there are no events that allow us to be glamorous to this extent. So any opportunity to be able to see creative and beautiful clothes is exciting and enjoyable. It’s just a fun and creative thing, not to be taken too seriously to take the fun out of it.

The Cannes film festival has evolved from being just one thing. People use fashion as part of marketing strategies for their brands and the Cannes festival is not left out in this as they are also beneficiaries of the sponsorship of some of these brands so it’s literally not just one thing. Plus the fashion ultimately brings exposure and more eyeballs on the event so…🤷🏾‍♂️

I thought the roses were the main event tbh. Don’t you think without those it’ll have just been flat?
