I have depression and I have to say, hearing Austin saying he has it too makes me mad. I'm mad because Austin is such a nice guy and doesn't deserve to be stuck with the burden of depression. I hope things get better!
Almost three years since this video was posted and I still remember the 10:08 “Depression” clip. Sometimes, especially when I’m particularly depressed (which is quite often), I’ll think of that clip and crack up or at least smile a little. Cheers to you, Austin, for bringing some levity and comedy even in dark times *raises depression mug*

This was a really fun watch! I've been watching your videos since 2013, and this video reminded me of what made me a fan in the first place! Thanks for making such great content this past decade, and I hope the 2020s have a bright future for your channel! Thanks, Peebs :D
First ever subscription on RU-vid 5-6 years ago well-spent. I don't think I can name a PBG video that hasn't made me laugh more than 3 times at least. Good stuff, man.
18:15 PSA TO ALL HARVEST MOON FANS. The name harvest moon was coined by Natsume who only localized the games. Eventually they split from the actual developers of the games and are cashing in on that name with terrible games. The real series is now called Story of Seasons (which will be bringing a friends of mineral town remake this year)
Yeah, I noticed that, but I don't know how to feel about the visuals. It feels a tad bit like a fan mobile game. Stardew Valley is on a whole other level, bringing that nice OG Harvest Moon feels, with nice variety gameplay.
@@NeoAnthony I mean, granted, since Stardew Valley came out, I loved the game more than pretty much any Harvest Moon game. If they decided to use pixel art for Story of Seasons again, I'd be down for that. At least there's still 2D character portraits.
Definitely get that bit about the depression. I rarely draw or write anymore, because the bad brain juice sucks up my motivation and inspiration. Good luck with that, Peebs.
this probably just a "me" kind of thing, but i was a bit down in the dumps for editing videos for a while. mostly cuz it usually takes a good bit of time out of my day. i then got the idea to rework my schedule of when i do things during the day and ive been feeling much better about this change! for a frame of reference im a bit more of a night person when it comes to "motivation hours", editing at night feels more convenient this way.
2 things, I love the new style, like how you’re progressing with the times. And 2, I love Persona 5 so it feels great to see my favorite RU-vidd talk about it positively. Thank you for the new video PBG! Edit: oh my goodness guys, thanks for the likes!
I've been watching for almost the entire decade, and this is definitely one of my new favorite PBG videos, and videos generally. The Depression joke was both relatable and hilarious. I paused the video and simultaneously died inside and laughed out loud. Absolutely fantastic job.
I did, he tried to clean up his act, but when he still kept beercans lying around in his room and staying out late to drink after we had our kid I couldn't take it anymore and divorced him. Only stardew divorce I've gone through... Erased his memory and became friends with him again though, which was much better.
@@trueblade3636 It was delayed quite a bit so the hype built up yeah. Fortunately it didn't ruin the game. Still one of the best rpgs to come out in recent years imo.
That's a tough list to make. 2010 was when my WoW addiction broke and I was getting back into actual video games. I must've played hundreds of games in that time period. Gameplay-wise. I think Metal Gear Solid V and Breath of the Wild win that award. Storywise, Mass Effect 2 and Hyper Light Drifter. But even saying those games I'm conflicted because there are other games that would fit in their place. It's impossible.
Dood Subnautica is really cool, but it goes up to AFREAKINGMAZING in VR. Standing at the edge of the shallows looking into the infinite blackness gives me a crazy feeling in my stomach and spine.
Sometimes I’ll randomly think of this clip (especially when I’m depressed which is… often) and I crack up. So cheers to PBG for being a legit source of comedy and happiness *cheers with depression mug*

4:27 - Wait a minute, has Jirard been in any Hardcore seasons since they started using those new avatars, or did PBG just unintentionally give us a little teaser by using that image? Don't mess with me, Peebs! I love your Hardcore series a ton, and this Jirard avatar is raising my hopes of a new season considerably!
The Mysterious Beets hey man. I looked at your video, its not bad at all. I just want to tell you that advertising in the comments section may be somewhat effective, but you will seem obnoxious. Just thought you should know.
Hey PBG you should probably know the newer Harvest Moon titles are not the series we know and love from our childhood. That's now under the name Story of Seasons. The Western translated name got taken by Natsume when Marvelous split to work with XSeed for the translation
Always enjoying your content Peebs, your humor and funny editing always make for a treat of a video! While I am always excited to see what you make next, take the time you need to feel creative and not force yourself either. We support you all the way!

My personal favorite from the decade was Rhythm Heaven Megamix. Put short, it’s the most recent entry to a small series that’s like Warioware, but the microgames are minigames, all the minigames are based around rhythm, and the format in general is a bit different. Technically two entries in the series came out this decade, but I like this one more simply because it has more content and keeps giving after you’ve beaten it too many times in the form of mods since it’s so friggin easy to mod and incredibly easy to make your own mods compared to most games. The issue with rhythm heaven is that it’s pretty hit-or-miss. If you don’t have a keen sense of rhythm or like the play style, then you can’t really enjoy it that much, since, ya k’now, the whole game is based around rhythm. It has incredible music though
Thanks for a fantastic decade, Peebs! I remember watching The Pagemaster because of you, with my mom on a sick day in 2014. It’s a memory that I’ll cherish forever. Also, heck yeah, Persona 5 and Cuphead! One game I love because of Smash, and one game I love that got into Smash! How swell! Personal game of the decade is Pokémon Moon because of my nostalgia and how much I loved my first journey through Alola, and perhaps mostly because of Nihilego. I adore that thing. Here’s to another wonderful decade, man! Cheers!
You have probably been my favorite RU-vidr for a good long while now. Even if you upload so chaotically there's always your gameplay channel to go to. It was interesting seeing your top 10 from games you wouldn't normally show on your channel. Either way I hope you have a great 2020!!! Heres my top 10 games from the 2010s as of right now in my current thought process at 1:30 am XD. Never stop being you because you are always such a bright personality to make any dark day give away to some happy sunshine. 10. I think for number 10 I'm gonna have to go with Pokemon Black 2 from 2012. Sword is a very close contender but the story and well nostalgia for this game edge it out. 9. Next up has to be Horizon Zero Dawn from 2017. This game was so beautiful and well done post apocalyptic stone age Cyberpunk kinda feel to it. The characters and story also elevates it. Such a big overworld this game had. 8. Next up is Assassin's Creed Syndicate from 2015. I don't care what people say this game is great. Sure London wasn't as vibrant as Paris. That being said I enjoyed the story and the Frye twins a lot. Unity is probably the AC game behind it this decade for me. 7. Next is Witcher 3 The Wild Hunt from 2015. This game wow took me by surprise. Seeing as I'd only seen the sequel at family video with a 18+ or older to rent sticker. Now I have experience the Witcher and it's great and a new book series to read. 6. Now we have Fire Emblem Three Houses from 2019. I have completed the Golden Deer and Blue Lions. Both extremely fun playthroughs and I can't wait to do the Black Eagles. I really wanted to place this higher but I just couldn't with these next five games. 5. Kingdom Hearts 3 from 2019 starts my top five. Another game I wanted to be higher but just couldn't. I wanted this to be better than KH 2 so bad but it isn't. Game is still a hell of a ride and amazing. Definitely made a huge improvement over the Disney worlds but a step down in their original worlds. 4. Marvel's Spider-Man from 2018 is next. Definitely my favorite superhero game. Which is fitting seeing as hes my favorite superhero. Amazing story, world, and the DLC was good enough to fill me up after the main game . 3. Next is Final Fantasy XV from 2016. This game seems to be very divisive in the Final Fantasy community. Mainly because of how incomplete people felt it was. Plus everybody hates how linear the later chapters were. Which I liked it because it streamlined the story to be more of the focus instead of the early parts where you could explore more. I could go on forever about this game. I love the main four guys and the game had great side characters that furthered some in the DLC stories. The story was pretty good as well. 2. Resident Evil 2 from 2019 is my number 2. Which it had its competition in my eyes. I love 6 and both Revelations titles. Especially the 2nd one. Even Resident Evil 7 was great but I have to give it to RE 2. Both Claire and Leon were great and the game was amazing improvement on the original game and the RE engine. 1. Which means my number one is LOZ Breath of the Wild from 2017. This game just goes on and on and on. With that being said it never gets old. It took me forever to beat the game just because I was doing so many other things. Even after I finally beat the game I got the Champions ballad which just made the game go on even more. And every second I never felt taxed (except for when paying for it) or bored. Just a great game that focus more on exploring than story which is the only thing I wish it did more. Story.
@@mileswalsh3324 none cares, it's a fucking beautiful masterpiece. And if you don't agree with me you can go to hell, the graphics in the visual effects in the game are so beautiful that I almost bust a load in my pants every time I look at the game. I do agree with the original Commodore here that it is one of the best games of this decade.
I am honored to be in your XCom squad. And WOW this list gave a LOT of insight about you. Many of these games I did not expect to see here. Very unique list. ^_^
I have nothing clever to say, so I'll just leave it at this. You're one of the only RU-vidrs who genuinely makes me laugh out loud several times every video. Every video of yours is a treat to watch. Also, idk if you could make a whole video on it (or if you'd even want to) but there's an episode of Arthur where they learn about swearing and it's absolutely hilarious.
Same here. I love Subnautica and I am happy someone also considers it top 10 of the decade

@@caioleite5579 Me too. Well, I don't consider it one of the general best games of the 2010s because of many flaws but I definitely consider it one of the best, if not the best atmospheric game in the 2010s. I don't really know if there was a game for me that had a more fascinating and dense atmosphere.
I'm glad that we finally got to see your personal list of your top 10 games. I wouldn't be able to do such a thing, as there's just too many good games out there.
I'm a bit surprised that Kingdom Hearts 3 wasn't in this list, but I'm also not, tbh, it's so confusing to understand, but if you dedicate enough to it you'll understand. I agree with basically the entirety of this list! I'm glad that you're up and posting around again. I hope your year goes really well, PBG!!
I passed through the channel looking at the thumbnail for years but never actually watching the video and now it took me forever to finally get where the cat came from
Here's my list (in no actual order), since I like participating 10: Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate. I know World would be the more obvious choice, but I prefer Gen Ult. I've been hooked on the series since MH4U, and Gen only stregnthed that love, but I'll go with Gen Ult cause it's Generations but MORE. It's a boss battle simulator, where you go around, hunt monsters, kill them, then carve them up to be strong enough to hunt and carve stronger monsters. you can bring your friend along for the ride, you have tons of weapons and armors at your disposal to take on any threat, not to mention items and accessories, and the new addition, the hunter styles and arts. you have 5 different styles to choose from, each one giving you different effects to really help you in fights (I go Aerial style as I am the Mounting Master and was even able to beat the Alatreon solo this way), and the Hunter Arts let you preform different actions once you fill a gauge, from increasing defense, to dodging easier, to healing the party, to dealing loads of damage, to even creating items if you go Alchemy Style. I know MH World and its Iceborne expansion is the newest hotness and you're likely to play that, but I do ask you give Gnerations Ultimate a shot, cause it's still worth your time. 9: Code Vein. I'm not one for the Soulsborne genre, but Code Vein hits that perfect spot for me. It's anime Dark Souls, with the anime "friendship is power!" story to tie it all up. The controls are tight and responsive, the game is challenging but never unfair, the music is nice with a few songs that really stand out, like Human Qua Human, the characters are really likeable and serve the story really well, and the lore goes really deep and if you take the time to read, you really find a a world to explore, even more so when you realize that Code Vein exists in the sames universe as God Eater (which is anime monster hunter, btw), and the best part, the *massive* customization you can give your character, both visually and combat wise. Want to make a character based around throwing status ailments from afar? One that focuses on buffing and being up in enemy faces? Both at the same time? Seriously, go play it. 8: Super Smash Bros Ultimate. Do I need to explain? it's the same party-fighting mix we all love, but now with every single character from series past and highly refined gameplay. Every character, even the echo-fighters, feel unique and are all fun to play, the music and the remixes are so exquisite, and the surprise return of the story mode in World of Light was a great addition. it's not as good as the Subspace Emissary, but it's still a blast to play through and I still love those final missions against Dharkon and Galeam, especially that bit where you play as Master Hand officially and he plays like he does when you glitch as him in Melee, that was fucking awesome! 7: Scott Pilgrim vs The World: The Game. I miss this game so damn much, but it still was amazing. It was a beat 'em up that didn't take to long to beat, but had multiple playable characters all with their own fighting styles, making the game fun as hell to go through, the music by Anamaguchi was sO FUCKING AMAZING, I MEAN HOLY SH- sorry, but that's just shows how good this game is. It's just a shame Ubisoft had to be a dick and not renew the license for the game, so you can't play it anymore, but I say it still deserves to be talked about. 6: Kingdom Hearts 3. As a big fan of Kingdom Hearts, of course I love this game. The gameplay is incredibly fun and over the top, the story is just as cheesy and needlessly confusing as ever and (though it does do some questionable things) I wouldn't have it any other way, the music is great as ever, and even now, I keep coming back to it to play it over again. 5: DragonBall Fighterz. As a guy who is horrible at 2D fighters, I fucking love Fighterz. I prefer Xenoverse 2 over it if only for the sandbox nature and modding capacity, but Fighterz is the better game no contest. The fan service, the solid gameplay, the incredible graphics that stay true to the shows artstyle, it's great. Even if you hate 2D fighters, you need to give the game a shot. 4: DragonBall Fusions. This is an excellent turn-based RPG with incredibly fun gameplay and great replay value due to the mechanic of fusing characters together, letting you play with different set ups and styles, and since that makes up most of the game, I say it makes up for my many issues, my two biggest being: 1, very lacking character creation. Considering the game is designed for ever part to work with every character, it'd be nice to have more. 2, Streetpass fusions. You can't *actually* fuse any character with any character unless you use streetpass, which is bullshit, otherwise you're stuck to what the game allows you to do. I have more (like the lackluster story/writing), but like I said, it's still a great game that gets way too overlooked, and with a sequel, it could only get better. 3: Sonic Mania. An excellent return to form for the Sonic Franchise. It perfectly captures the essence of the classic Sonic games in a way only the fans could. The music is beautiful, the graphics are great, and the gameplay is solid as fuuuck. I can't even say much more, it's just really damn good. But what I can say, is that Press Garden Zone is the best stage in the whole game. That stage is so beautiful and fun, it should be illegal. 2: Dust: An Elysian Tail. This game is literally perfect in every way. The art is divine and beautiful, the music is pleasant and always a joy to listen to, the gameplay is amazing with great depth while staying simple and easy to understand, the story is wonderful and gets you really invested, which is helped by the absolutely lovable and endearing characters, where even theminor NPC have so much charm it's hard to not love them. Everything in Dust works so damn perfectly, and if it weren't for my special connection to #1, it would be my #1 favorite game of all time, but it's still my 2nd favorite of all time, and that has to account for something. This was the game that truly convinced me games were art. 1: Undertale. I won't write another novel here, but it is insanely special to me for the path that my love of the game lead me down, meeting so many wonderful people and giving me a reason to keep on going (as dramatic as that sounds). Granted, that was all indirectly caused by the game, but that doesn't how much it means, and that alone gets it to #1 in my book. Not only that, but the gameplay is a fun mix of bullethell and turn-based RPGs, the music is amazing, the graphic I personally love and think the simplistic style works in it's favor, the story is sweet and filled with lovable characters, and the choices you make actually matter and effect the game in so many ways that it makes it fun to replay, even when going down the same route. Honorable mentions: Deltarune: Not fully released, and likely won't until late this year or in 2021, but the first bit of the game we've seen is looking good so far, but it's just a demo for what's to come, so can't actually include it. Xenoverse 2. I find it really fun, and I've had so much times spent making mods and creating characters and OCs, and I loved every second of it... but that's the problem, it's only fun because of all those mods. It makes it the perfect Dragon Ball sandbox, but vanilla XV2 is boring and not fun. Subanutica. PBG already talked about it, and I really love it too and share the same points. The exploration and fear sweat is addictive as hell. Slime Rancher. A really cozy and relaxed, albeit time consuming game that's really damn cute, with a great backstory and characters to boot. Love ya Casey, just wish you appeared in game more outside of emails and the ending. Animal Crossing New Leaf. Peeps talked about it at nauseam, and I share the same sentiments. Hyrule Warriors. I love Warriors; the campiness, the gameplay, the over-the-top action, the grinding, the "Enemy Officer Defeated!" screens, it's amazing. it's the only recent Warriors game I've plays outside of the original Samurai Warriors on PS2, which I still remember renting a lot, but that was pre-2010s, but I might like another recent Warriors game more if I ever get the chance. Soul Calibur 6. Despite being a 2D fighter, it's still fun as hell, the character creation is great, and the custom character story is also really fun and unique. I definitely love it. Starlink: Battle For Atlas. It's the best Starfox game since Starfox 64, and that's sad, but the game is still fun. The space exploration is nice, the combat is fun, and helping the people of Atlas to build up a true resistance against the Legion is great so far. i haven't beaten it yet, but I'm liking it so far. Pokemon: Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire. I only love it so much because Gen 3 was my first gen, and since this is a full on remake, I say it counts. Fun turn-based RPG, monster collecting is fun, and-it's pokemon, c'mon. I have more, but I'll just leave it there so we don't go on for years.
@@fortniteconnoisseur_ Thank you so much! I think it took me about 20 minutes, 30ish if you count me watching the video in between different parts. Again, thank you!

@@Super-ln3kz Yea how would you know that? I also played P3 and P4 but they don't come close to P5 for me. Fear Sweats playing Subnautica. I can definitely relate! I decided to make a trip around the entire crash, maybe find new crafting recipes, but boy is that area dangerous and murky, poor visibility, leviathan roars left and right... took me a long time and didn't find anything new!
