Any such list without Pine Valley and Oakmont is invalid. Plus, I'm sure the folks over at Merion, Pinehurst and Winged Foot might have something to say as well.
Just a subjective list. I have played half of these as well, Pinehurst #2 and both Winged Foot courses. I agree there are others I would slide in. I love Harbor Town, my favorite course to play but I'm not putting that ahead of Winged Foot or Pine Valley.
Let’s face it most of these are hardly worth arguing about, however some of the information is not 100% correct. It’s also clear the narrator was clearly just reading from a script and might not have even watched much golf (perhaps a non-player). The image of the co-founder of Augusta is incorrect and the pronunciation of certain courses like Kiawah are way off. A little better research could prove useful.
Absolutely! We already have one on the best golf courses in Ireland: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-8veQdS-EfMc.html And one of the most expensive golf courses around the world: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-nXLgcrjwNF8.html Check it out!
Augusta National and Pebble Beach are 1/2 in whatever order you want to put them in. They are both terrific courses, but so different you can't really compare them. If you like links courses better and great views Pebble is the winner, if you like pristine perfection Augusta wins every time. No Cypress Point, Winged Foot or Merion makes this list a little sketchy. Doral used to be worthy of a top-20 list, but no longer is, and while Spyglass is nice, it is not in the top 10, neither is Bay Hill, although is is a fine course. Pine Valley, Pinehurst No. 2 and a few others should be in the running for this list as well.
Played Pebble Beach on my 50th birthday. And because I knew somebody who knew somebody I was able to play Trump International in Palm Beach FL. Even when I hate golf I love golf. Was lucky enough to make a hole in one a few years back. I wish that feeling for every golfer.
I first thought the list was public courses until I realized you included private courses. I mean......I know golf courses are subjective, but can't disagree more with this list. Where are: CYPRESS POINT Oakmont Pine Valley National Golf Links of America Fishers Island Merion Sand Hills Chicago I wouldn't argue with you if you put Friar's Head, The Country Club or Los Angeles Country Club, Riviera or Pinehurst No. 2 in the top 10 as an outsider. But Ocean Course and Blue Monster????
Thinking 75% of golfers struggle to break 100 think 100% of those certainly wouldn’t do it on these courses which I believe might be your audience. Pretty to look at but keep it real maybe the 10 best municipal courses in each state thanks ⛳️ Be Well Be Safe & Stay Blessed.
There are plenty of best you can play type of videos that would have the best resort or muni courses, this is more of a list of the best without regard to price, private or public, etc. I' have played half of these carrying a handicap between 0 and 5. A good player can still score on these courses, especially if they are playing the correct tees. For example I played at Kiawah and played the tees 2 ahead of the very back (which stretch to 7,800 yards). At 7,200 yards I could still play and shoot a score close to my handicap.
Good Lord. Any chance of having someone preview your presentation before releasing. Mispronunciations and wrong background pictures really detract from any other stuff you might serve up. Kiawah (pronounced key-a-wah) does not have mountains in the distance as an example.
All these courses would rank in the top 100 but there are four in my opinion do not make the top 25....you forgot Pine Valley, Merion, Lancaster CC, Winged Foot, Oakmont, etc.
Thanks for sharing! These are indeed top golf courses. We will include them in our part 2 video. Have you had the chance to play at any of these courses?
Videos are good. Narration is bad. i think made by guys that just decided to try and make money doing youtube golf videos. Not golfers for sure. Can't even pronounce Doral properly.
Sorry, but there are too many things wrong with this video to list. I’d rather not waste 10 minutes doing it. Nice attempt though I guess. You wanted to know how many of these courses people have played? Of these, I’ve only played Pebble Beach and Spyglass Hill.
National golf course is the best golf course in the United States it is located right next door to shinnecock golf course I have been an employee of both I appreciate Nationals views of the Bay I think that subonic national and shinnecock should all be united into one course with Bill santini in charge of the whole operation and anonymous employee and greenskeeper for over a decade I know what I'm talking about
National is a good course but nowhere near the best in the US. I played both National and Shinnecock along with Winged Foot on a golf outing about 20 years ago. Winged Foot West is better than both of the others and I wouldn't even put Winged Foot in my top 5.
Sucks because I have to scroll through to pick up names to enter into my app to find out WHERE the HELL each course is. geez. Location location location.
And Torrey Pines is not a links course. The only true links courses in the US are the ones at Bandon and a 9 holer in Massachusetts. This is a terrible video.
Just finished video. Thanks for providing your thoughts but I think you are way, way off. Off the top of my head, I can think of 10 better courses. The only ones I agree with are Augusta and Pebble.
Pine Valley, Cypress Point and The Chicago Golf Club. I have others but let’s not get selfish. As I write this I’m watching the video for first time. The Blue Monster shouldn’t even be in Top 100.
