The Minolta was my favorite racing car in gt4 nd gt5....I remember finishing the Indy 500 (3 hour race) with it...Ive never used the brake button in that race and it was Extremely quick...I'm still in love with that racing machine today in gt6, I use it for almost every racing competition
In the new Gran Turismo 7 (Not GT Sport, because I already know the car list will be under 200)......They should include Porsches since EA released the strong hold on their license. The Porsche 917, 936, 956, 962C (both long and short tail versions), Mercedes C11, XJR14, XJR16, Nissan R90CK, Mazda 767B, Toyota TS010, Toyota Eagle MK III, Nissan NPT-91, Ferrari/Abla AR3.......And make a specific Group C championship without including the Suzuki Pikes peak or Toyota 7 to be field fillers like in GT5 and GT6.
I would like to see all the cars from all the old gt’s like everyone plus the vision gt and other car from gg sport.Sadly it won’t happen but I keep hoping

I like the #10 Toyota its the newest and i love the way it looks also I've not done a lot of night racing I never knew that the numbers on the yota lit up
I don't use aids except for 1 point in abs. I have a transmission tune that keeps the cars power in order while accelerating quicker, and a suspension tune that barely makes the car spin, as well as the drivetrain tune to help the car have a much better and tighter turn in while being more stable. Let's just say its a car for professionals.
Not bad man, even though the 787 is one of the best handling LMP's, it is underpowered. I've never really tried to set a perfect lap on the Nurb, that record really came from a 2 lap race xD. I reckon with a perfect lap and optimal tune, the C60 could potentially run a 5:10 or 5:09 because it is extremely rapid around corners and can hit almost 260 on the home straight.
The Best Le Mans car was the Tomahawk S. Very OP Obviously I’m just joking but it’s probably the best 750PP car, it’s handling is good and the best grinding car for Like The Wind, also the cheapest 750PP car at only 1,000,000 CR
Oh when you said it doesn't race in any real racing I had thought you meant that you can't use it in races. Probably has to do with me being up for almost 2 days now.
If you have a wheel and have any clue how to tune the 905 is far and away the best option for almost every track that doesn't bore me with straightaways. Probably should've been higher but I guess it's not too beginner friendly
For sure its a pro-level monster, as is the 787B. But as you said I have to keep these lists as inclusive to all skill and experience levels as possible.
It is a pleasure to see such detailed comparison of cars featured in GT6. Thumbs up! By the way, would you recommend getting Mazda LM55 for the races in the last 2 chapters of the career mode? I have been missing out on the online races and events (haven't even gone online yet) so I'm a little bit low on money. Currently I have 2 million credits, but spending it on just one car doesn't seem the right thing to do...
As you'd expect, there isn't really one car which will cover all career races, so I'd recommend more just taking it one race at a time. If you need quick cash though, the RedBull Standard series is the way to go. It takes 20 minutes and pays out over 2 mill if you win all 5 races.
Thanks, man. I'm certainly going to look into the RedBull series. P.S. I've been winning a lot of races driving TVR Cerbera Speed Twelve (stock but with soft tyres and racing brakes). This beast has become my true companion throughout the career mode, but as it recently turned out, even this car can go only this far against real racing monsters.
Nice. I'm a huge Speed 12 fan. Its actually the most annoying car on GT6 for me though, since its top speed is completely neutered compared to previous GT games.
Yep, the car could definitely use more top speed, though I can't say the TVR lacks it that much. But I haven't played any previous games from GT series, so I wouldn't know. Was it really that much faster?

me worry is that there aren't other companies that make prototypes besides the ones we alredy know and one thing that piss me off is that we have old versions instead of the new ones in every category

Yeah, like the Lister Storm, the Panoz is completely inaccurate as far as weight, which hinders it a lot. It's still my favourite Le Mans car on GT though, since I love Panoz :P

Yeah the 787B has been severely downgraded since back on GT3 and 4. It was one of the best back then, but now it feels a little underpowered. Still good for technical circuits but not as dominating as it used to be.

It was great in real life. It's still the only Japanese car to ever win the LM24, in 1991. And then as far as I know the FIA banned rotaries from the Le Mans.
The C60 is around the closest I've gotten to be able to turn like an F1. I've beaten the Lotus 79T on Spa with it. Its not the very best in the straight because its not the most powerful nor it it the lightest but its acceleration from 100-200 is one of the best. Even the seasonal event that was put up yesterday for the 700pp time trial on Apricot Hill, the top 10 guys all used the C60 hybride.
After hearing that only LMP(1) and Group C cars are considered for this list, I am surprised to see a concept car in first place. I am not really sure that car would be legal under the rules... How did you pronounce "PescArolo"? I couldn't hear the "a" in it :P
I'd be fine with it since it's your list, but why did you first mention "LMP and Group C only", then contradictingly put a concept car in #1 that wasn't created to either of those regulations, nor did it race yet(if it ever does, which I doubt)?
Because as I'm sure you're aware - 'LMP' stands for Le Mans Prototype, with the 1, 2, 3, 900 variations further specifying their specific class and era. As such, the LM55 is a Prototype concept designed for Le Mans racing - quite literally an LMP. It is also specifically designed to pay homage to the Group C 787B, so although it doesn't fall into either category, it bridges both.
Of course I am - Went to Le Mans every year since 2005 or 2006. My father already in 1969 :) There's a difference between "LM" and "LMP". Why didn't they just label it LMP55 then? Because LM doesn't automatically makes it a LMP. Yes, you can call it a "prototype", but in comparison to all other cars, it hasn't even competed yet. So it neither runs to LMGTP, LMP1, LMP2, LMP3, LMP675 or LMP900 regs. You know, Pontiac once made a car they labelled the "Le Mans". So did Cadillac with a concept car they called "Le Mans" aswell in 1953. Neither were ever intended for Le Mans though. If the ACO doesn't change regulations by 2022, I don't think we'll ever see such "Visions" at the race. And with the immense costs to run hybrid in the WEC, with Audi already gone and Porsche to follow now, I am afraid the rules will change to something that will lead these "Vision" cars to be what they are - Concepts. Would be a shame, since I like Mazda. Sorry, I am just not okay with putting a car on the list that is not "real" to me and hasn't even run to any regulations. I think it would have been fine no mentioning LMP and Group C :D But anyway, your list. Btw: Why "only" the Mazda of all the Vision cars? Why not for example the Chevrolet Chaparral? Was that one too unrealistic?
David Jundt Chevrolet had nothing to do with the Chapparel. Jim Hall built them and CHOSE to use chevy engines which he himself modified. If you're referring to the car-engine combination the car is listed first. i.e. Lotus-Ford, Brahbam-Repco, Cooper-Climax. But the Chapparel's were always just that, Chapparel 2(the letter after 2 designated what model Chapparel.
I'm surprised that the 787B didn't made it's place in the list. I admit, I did a setup on it(a realistic one so real power, realistic gearbox setting and realistic suspension and aero setting) and my gosh, I can take out the famous and heavily overpowered Pescarolo C60 Hybrid. not in straight, but in acceleration AND in corners. that thing is on rails. The GT1 car Toyota GT-One TS020 is close, but not enough. I have also a realistic setting on it(700hp IRL). it's grippy like in GT3, but not enough to beat the 787B. For the Toyota 88C-V(the real name for the "Minolta" wich is just a sponsor on the car), I've set a realistic 5 speed gearbox like the real one(yes, the real one doesn't have 6 speed). on the Audi R18(both), the good shift point is at more or less 5000rpm. I've set a longer gearbox(the longest possible) and adapted it with the specs on Project Cars(suspensions also) and I laugh when someone takes the R18 stock and goes way slower than me when I have the same amount of power. I did the same thing on the Sauber C9. setup taken from Pcars. For the TS030, I've struggled to find a good setup, but I could manage a 2 minutes lap on Spa Francorchamps. I even was called a hacker ecause the other guys couldn't do it with their Toyota XD. the Deltawing, despite being a boat that turns suddenly into a soap, is a good LMPx(it was goind to run in LMP2, but had its own class) that can beat all the LMP1 with its turning capability when you got over the oversteer(except the Mazda LM55 VGT but I dont count that one because it doesn't exist yet as it's a 2022 concept LMP1). Just to clarify, I put all of my LMP cars(I own all of them) on a real power and weight. I don't boost them(except the Group C to simulate a qualifying session). and I find them more enjoyable than if I overpower them :)
Your'e not the first to raise the 787B, and the reason why it isn't here is very simple : Its more expensive than almost all of the other prototype machines (and the Stealth version actually IS the most expensive prototype in the game), but for all that price it offers less power and straight line speed (not just top speed) than almost all of the other prototypes (my DeltaWing is literally just as quick for top speed at ~275 mph). It also lacks beginner appeal, as the 787B is a far twitchier machine which requires a more experienced hand to get the best out of. The scenario which you mentioned about using realistic specs is a fair point, but it is also an extremely niched situation which most players will never put the car into.
I know that, don't worry. But I just state that some LMP/Group C cars can be very surprising if they have a good setting on it. wich could encourage some people to go and try some settings :)
I can understand that. And I could have technically included the Chaparral 2X as well, as it was envisioned as a future Garage 56 creation if I'm not mistaken. But I drew the line at the LM55 as it falls close enough to current and past prototypes to be justified.
the Mazda LM55 is just a 2022 LMP1 Concept as one pf the designer of the car said. "It's basically what we think that the LMP1 would look like in 2022." I don't remember where I saw this, but I know it's for the LM55
The 787B is an awesome car for sure, but for the price there are simply faster cars in the category, both around corners and in a straight line. I love the 787B, but it isn't as good on GT6 as it used to be.
