Finally a video that considers longevity! Not everyone wants a new vehicle every 3 years. Some of us have pride in proper maintenance. Would be cool to see vids like this that consider cars fro. 5-10yrs old
I bought a used 2016 RX350 3 years ago. So far, it's been flawless. Only thing I've had to do is change the oil, and lube a squeaky rear lift gate strut. 74K so far, and going strong. Am thinking about upgrading to RX350 or NX350 hybrid next time.
Bought a base RX 1.5 years ago during c-vid, best car ever. Smooth natural v6, very road quiet, steering feel better than expected, decent mpg with regular fuel. Hope to keep 10+ years
God bless you for the RX350 that you mention. I love RX350 more than anything in this life. Please am planning on buying RX350. This month or October, please which year model and type should I go for. Please reply
I am driving a 97 Yukon SL. Absolutely love it. Yep, it's 25 years old and still going strong. It required very little upkeep. Did replace the radiator, headlights and just do regular upkeep.. change oil, batteries. If I ever buy another vehicle it will be another Yukon no doubt about it. Decent gas mileage for it's size to.
Your take on the YUKON vs ESCALADE is spot on. I was in the Limo biz in SoCal, where high mileage and hellacious traffic (almost as bad as Vancouver!) is a reality 12 hours a day. I've had both in my fleet. I found that the Escalade was prone to little things breaking regularly. Seat motors, side view mirror malfunctions, electrical dash glitches and other annoying small stuff. But with VIP customers, it has to be right. The Yukon and the Escalade had stout engines and transmissions, but ride much harsher than the Lincoln's.
Thanks Shari. With your help and reviews we feel comfortable in deciding to buy an RX350H. A no brainer as you would say. I'll continue to watch your insights on utube. Thanks again from Vancouver.
Great review, it's refreshing to hear and see that you have rated the Lexus RX on the top of the list. I have a 2005 RX330 with 330,000 miles and still going strong. I also own a 2019 RX350 F-sport and absolutely love it, although I don't get to drive that much because my wife claims it as her car. As soon as the current shortage is over, I will be looking to buy a new RX350.
My 2019 Acura RDX A Specs has been trouble-free. Great performance, roomy and great seats. The only thing is that the ride is a bit too firm. May go to Yokohama Geolander X-CV tires which are smoother riding according to Tire Rack.
There are 2 SUV’s that you may not consider a luxury SUV, you would be wrong. I’m talking about the Mazda CX-9, and it’s replacement 2023 CX-90. The ride, handling and interior blew me away. The interior feels as good if not better than SUV’s costing 2-3X more. They are also extremely well made and will last for 10-15 years with low maintenance and repair.
Just received my 2023 NX350h Platinum. Mentioning reliability, I've had my CT200 since 2011 and apart from the seasonal maintenance, I have never had any mechanical/electrical issue with my CT. The new NX350h is sexy, sleek, beautiful interior with loads of feature that others don't offer. It has better mileage than my CT even for a bigger SUV. The NX also have run-flat tires which are very expensive (~ CA$600 per tire) but purchasing run-flat insurance at $500 for 3 years pays for any mishap than can happen. The only negative point is the ceiling height when entering the driver or passenger front doors. I am not that tall (5'8") and have to bend a lot lower to enter in the SUV hitting my head until you get used to it's height. My only alternative is to lower the seat prior to entry 😅. All in all, Lexus is built to last!
Lexus RX offer reasonable price tag compare to all other competitors on the market. It not only offer luxury feel and comfortable rides but also the liability.
And it is amazing how Lexus keeps out selling the competition year after year with the RX and NX models they produce. Maybe it is time you jump in and get one, haters love to hate.
@@kevinnguyen5591 how is that an insult? they are top tier reliable brands. if you want to play that game then porsche, audi, lamborghini , bentley are Volkswagens because they are all owned/built by VW.

@@donaldbanner2185 my mother has the same exterior color on her Lexus. It’s beautiful if you’re into grey or silver. I own a 2011 Rav 4WD Limited with a 3.5 V6. It has every option available for an 11. With only 103K miles and since retirement I only drive 5-6K miles a year, I plan on keeping it until I turn 70. (I’m in my mid 50s currently). I really like the size of the RX and I want my next and last vehicle to be a hybrid, Non Turbo. You’re right that the Turbos simply don’t last as long as a naturally aspirated engine. The 3.5 V6 is an Awesome engine and will usually last 300K miles if you take care of them. I use Mobile 1 full synthetic oil and it’s supposed to be changed every 10K miles, but I have it changed every 4K miles. I also have the transmission fluid flushed every 30K miles, as well as the front and rear differential and transfer case, (on our vehicles equipped with it).
Thank you for all the great videos! Question: I love my music, want to be able to be able to talk with my rear passengers and truly dislike interfering road nose. Which do you consider the quietest interior ride between 2023 Lexus RX, Hyundai GV 80, Acura MDX?
The escalade and Yukon Denali are essentially mechanically identical the differences are essentially trim and a few gadgets so the reliability aside from breaking gadgets would be the same
I'm on my 4th (18 RLX Sport Hybrid) and 5th Acura (19 MDX Adv Sport Hybrid). I've taken my previous 3 Acura's + 530,000 miles combined (06 TSX, 08 RDX, & 11 MDX Adv). Lexus would be my second choice for keeping loooooong after the warranty runs out. I see so many 1st/2nd/3rd Gen Acura MDX/Lexus RX still on the road. I see plenty of new; but, very hard to find a 10-20 year old European SUV brands still racking up the miles in my area.
@@matthewsahr5205 Love the 377hp/341tq of the sport hybrid powertrain. The RLX does turn heads and people always ask me about it. I think mostly because there are so many CUVs/SUVs/Truck/minivans on the road and sedans are becoming rare and might go away like station wagons when I was a kid. Excellent city car with under 5 sec to 60 mph, always 27-30 mpgs, sh-awd, and a lot of room inside. Not so great traveling car because small 15 gas tank, small trunk because of battery pack for 2-3 people only for a long weekend, soft suspension on twisty roads, and no carplay. My MDX Sport Hybrid does a better job of balancing out city and hwy duties to come out on top overall.
No, not a Lexus commercial, just telling the truth of the fact that Lexus is building the finest automobiles in the world and its time everyone comes to except what is factual.
So I assume you are saying the VolvoXC90, BMW X5 and Audi Q7 are not good. Well I have owned a Q7 for four years now and just replaced one set of tyres and had it serviced twice. My next car is a Volvo XC90 so I will see how I get on with that due to get it spring 2023.
Don't you worry, that Audi will end up breaking your wallet, 401k and all savings you have come to retain. They are famous for their issues. Hold on to that baby, she'll start coming apart in places you've never seen an automobile come apart before. The VW group cannot engineer long-term reliable cars, and they are famous for mechanical and electrical problems in everything they produce.
New Subscriber. Awesome video. Great content. Thank you for creating and sharing this video. 🎩 If you hadn't already, can you please do a video on the Top 10 Luxury PHEV SUV in 2022? That would be awesome to see. Thank you.
Good video but there’s no data presented to back anything up in terms of cost etc. as for the Acuras I love the cars but find them noisy. Went with the Lexus but they seriously need to update the car
🇨🇦🇨🇦Toronto… very good 👍 facts!!!! Usually buy pre owned 1 yr old - compact size Can you talk about hybrid Vs electric ⚡️ and which are better ones to buy? Thanks ✅
Other than the Acura is there anything you would recommend that is both reliable and good on performance? I have a BMW X5 that is a ton of fun to drive but as it gets older it's starting to get rather expensive to maintain.
I want to know if anyone bought the Porsche Cayenne and your honest thoughts on it after it matures. It’s my dream suv but only if it makes sense to own for 10 years. I have a 08 Rx 350 with 156k and I’ve had some repairs but nothing really major. It’s time. So it’s the Porsche or Lexus Hybrid
Both maintenance and repair costs will be much higher for the Porsche. Everything is just way more expensive, there's no way around that. The reliability should be okay, but I wouldn't keep it 10 years unless you are willing to stomach a repair here and there.
I know it’s confusing but if you read the reports from different sources they are reliable for the most part. For example consumer reports rates Porsche high on the list of reliable manufacturers. I suggest doing the research yourself and finding out
Per CarEdge: "A Porsche Cayenne will cost about $20,552 for maintenance and repairs during its first 10 years of service. This is more than the industry average for luxury SUV models by $4,838. There is also a 60.89% chance that a Cayenne will require a major repair during that time. This is 21.33% worse than similar vehicles in this segment."
Excellent review and topic. Exactly what buyers want to know. 👍 Lexus NX and RX the best long term vehicles of course. #1. Porsche incredible quality. Brutal parts and service costs. Should be rated much lower or not on the list. Suggestion: A NX vs a Macan would be an interesting review. (best value configs 350h vs base Macan). 🪒 🙈
Bs…I own an MDX…and it is def luxurious inside. What planet are you from ? Acura is. Luxury /performance brand…the MDx also has the highest sales for a 3 row SUV. How is this gorgeous MDX not luxurious? ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-OTRWTBG4FWM.html
