Tactical watches are much more than just useful fashion accessories, they are the top level of utility and durability. During the apocalypse, a good tactical watch will determine who survives and who doesn't. In this video, We've compiled a list of the Top 10 Amazing Tactical Watches for Men. Survive hat is true so purchase your self a Rolex Milsub if it is good enough tor the Brit Roy al Navy to issue in the 50's and still in use today and extremely wantable you keep your tactical manufactures hype named time piece I will stick with my Rolex even though it is older than you!
A piece of advice for troopers, or those who intent to join the military: Just ignore everything you saw in the video and buy yourself a G-shock. Preferably with the solar charging option (tough solar), which you can find for about $100-150. And it's better to be full digital, than analog, because pure digital movements has no moving parts (hands), thus they're always less sensitive to hard use. Few additional notes... - Never buy a watch with mechanical movement. Quartz is the only option. The Hamilton from this video is a joke. It's an expensive mechanical watch, which can break much easier than literally any quartz. Even a $15 Casio is a much better option. - The same goes for smart watches. Smart watches and military just don't go together. - Rather avoid those super big, triple sensor G-shocks. They are just too bulky and cumbersome, which can become a bit of a problem when handling weaponry. And you'll find out that you don't need most of those functions. - Never buy a digital watch with a negative display (black display with white numbers). It may look cool, but visibility is much worse on a bright sunny day. Hope this helps.
I was planning to buy Mechanical Watch but I saw your comment. I want to buy solar watch and I am confused about Casio Solar and Battery Watches. Which one should I Buy. Please Advise.
@@Siju2235 The only difference is that in a solar watch the battery will last much longer, because it's powered by solar cells. Battery in solar watches will last for 10 years minimum, tho in most cases I've seen (here on yt), they still keep going on with their 1st battery even after 15-20 years. It always depends of usage, of course. Btw, bear in mind that the illuminator function wastes the most of battery power. On the other hand, battery in ordinary watches can last anywhere between 2-7 years. Tho, there are some Casio models advertising with a 10 year battery. In any case, you can't go wrong, because changing a battery is cheap and easy, and you can even do it by yourself, without much effort, if you're inclined to diy. There are many tutorials on yt. A solar powered battery will last more. So, I'd always advise you to go with it. The only downside of solar watch is that most of such models are a bit more expensive. But I'd say it's definitely worth it. G-shocks are the best. The cheapest models go for $50... up to few thousands (there's a premium branch). I have a square G-shock GW-B5600... tough solar, waveceptor (radio signal receiver), timer, stopwatch, world time, alarm, 20 bar of proven WR... it costed me $150, 2 years ago. It's not bulky, it's comfortable to wear, it's incredibly reliable and accurate, it's built like a small tank and it can survive anything you throw at it. There are plenty of yt videos proving G-shock toughness and reliability. Btw, I've turned off its radio signal reception for 3 months, and during that time it lost only 1.5 seconds. If you're not going to wear it for some time, avoid to keep it in a dark place (like a drawer), and just place it in a spot where there's enough light to keep its battery full. It charges itself on any type of light. Also, if you want to go with an analog model, there are some good models in the video, and I would also recommend Citizen Eco-drive (meaning solar powered) models. All in all, there's plenty of good choice out there. There you go. If there's any other question, I'm here. Glad I can help.
@@Siju2235 Take a look at the GW-M 5610U-1ER. Rather small, but tough as a nail, solar powered, radio controlled, 200 m water resistant. Imho you don’t need more than what this watch offers. Maybe upgrade with a NATO watch strap and you should be good to go.
@@zacharyjoyner7010 For G-shocks, a good rule is the cheaper is the beater, the better. Tho, there are some models which are a bit more expensive than the cheapest ones, but they offer more functionality with Tough Solar, Multiband 6 and/or Bluetooth. Like square GW-B5600 (which is my choice). If you prefer round watches, ana-digi GA-2000 is a good choice. No solar, MB6 nor BT, but it looks great, and it's a bit tougher with a Carbon core guard. It also features bigger buttons, which makes it easier to operate (even with gloves). If you prefer something more elegant, smaller and not as thick, ana-digi GAB-2100 (so called Casioak) is a good choice. They also feature Tough solar and Bluetooth. GAS-100 is also good, but it's without BT. A full digital G-231OR is probably rare to find, but it looks good. GW-6900 is a classic looking model with solar cells, but I personally don't like the looks. The fact is, whatever model you choose, you can't miss and you'll get a watch which will last you for life and will never let you down. Also, you may stay assured that you're buying the best watch in the world. Nothing, literally nothing, is better than a G-shock. My additional piece of advice... Just stay away from negative display models (grey-white numbers on a black background). They may look fancy, but they have legibility issues.
Most people just get a Casio G Shok. Reasonable price. Tough as a tank. Lightweight. And accurate. However, the German GSG9 and Combat Swimmers have worn Sinn watches. UTS is popular with European Special Forces. Tells time. Tough, reliable, and clear legibility. Vietnam Era special ops guys tend to have Seiko Turtles or something similar.
British forces CWC (Cabot watch company) Kept my issue one and still have it 30 yrs on.Also wind up Hamilton’s much sought after.Simple watches and tell accurate time. What more do you require.
It's too bad that G-Shocks look like they should be worn by a 10 year old boy. Casio should legitimately spend some time retuning the case and bezels so they don't look so damn ridiculous.
Ohh, dear!! Lots of pure fantasy and sales tricks here. Young soldiers! Don't be fooled, you don't need any of this crap. Rule nr1. No battery, nothing that beeps. Must be mechanical or automatic caliber. Rule nr2. No fancy complications. The more buttons, the more crap there is that can break. Rule nr3. Use a NATO strap or similar (no metallic chains or even worse rubber straps). Rule nr4. Stay below 44mm (your wrist is not that big and a big watch will get in the way). Rule nr5. Fluorescent dots helps more than fancy numbers. If you don't remember the numbers on the watch, we are all fu#@ed anyway. Rule nr6. Keep it simple, as simple as possible. After 37 years of running around in wars and in the world's different shitholes, I can only advise you to keep it as simple as possible.
Don’t fall for this consumerism shite , a military watch 🤣🤣, a watch should just tell the time , if u need all the other tec that’s on these watches you shouldn’t be in the military. A £20 timex done me fine in N.I , Iraq , Jordan , Belize (Jungle) , Cyprus on Ops and exercise.
Where’s Casio F91W, Casio G-Shock DW 5600 or the Timex Ironman Triathlon classic? Smartwatches that require charging everyday and transmit via Bluetooth cannot be military watches ever
I own the range man gpr1000 and it failed to remain moisture proof, sent it back to Casio and waited over 3 months when finally the store of which I purchased it replaced it with the new frogman, and only 4 weeks after I received the frogman my range man was returned fixed. Scored a $1600 watch for free
Thats great for you bro. I had the same problem after a year of daily use and when I returned it to them I was told the warranty was not good. Its a beautiful watch but it definitely has some issues. I paid 800 for it to see them now for 1600. That's crazy. Stay blessed ❤ 🇹🇹.
I don't stand around with a rifle in the military-I do drywall and mudding, which will get into anything including deep inside your watch. drywall will kill anything. buy a cheap Casio , once a year for 20 bucks. no need to spend hundreds
Looks like a string of manufacturer's advertising media edited one to the other: no opinions, no tests? Missed opportunity

Yup, it's just like that. I've been in the military and I can say, none of those worth it, some lack features, others are too much high tech. If you are in the army or know a thing or two about survival, just go for the Casio GB-100 series, two year battery, chronograph, analog hand to find the north, it has good water protection and it doesn't cost a kidney.
SUUNTO AND CASIO FAN. I need to check those Movements out since you have on here so much. But my Suunto and any G shock you cant go wrong. Garmin is good but now that Casio is doing so much more I would take it for the destruction it can take. Thing never breaks. I swear.
Nope, that Rangeman is way over priced and unavailable for the most part. The MUDMASTER is number 1. Anything that is GPS depended takes way too much battery power currently. You are better off with a watch that can give you the needed info along with the use of a far more accurate map that you have on hand. Change my mind.
Military watch waterproof 50 m . Sapphire crystal. compass and solar power . Recharged by any light source; never needs a battery . The watch has a Calendar function: Date, Solar Powered , Compass
As a field biologist, working 3 or more months a year in the southwest conservation area of Tasmanian, I can say the Suunto traverse will handle anything!

Could you just have done a video with a bit of less content? Yup, it's just like that. I've been in the military and I can say, none of those worth it if you are in the middle of the shit, some lack features, others are too much high tech. If you are in the army or know a thing or two about survival, just go for the Casio GB-100 series, just have the digital and analog hands, two year battery, chronograph, analog hand to find the north if you need and know how to do it, it has awesome water and shock protection and it doesn't cost a kidney. Hell, my really old Timex Explorer does a better job than most of those.
Yes. A reasonable cheap reliable mechanical watch that tells time is all you need. Nothing that beeps or has the need for a battery. If you have a bit of cash, go for a Seiko "Captain Willard" style type. Never fails and is always comfortable. If you are just a poor soldier, like we all were at one stage, go for the cheaper version.
2:57 I'm sorry? The nylon strap resists extreme changes in pressure and altitude? It's a fookin' nylon strap. How exactly are pressure and altitude going to affect it? Would other straps explosively decompress? Will they disintegrate under extreme pressure? That's some bullshit you're talking there.
8:33 Oh, this just keeps getting better. This watch has a screw-down crown so that you can adjust the time and the date if you want? You mean the other watches don't allow you to adjust the time and the date? Man, that's fooked up.
How can the Rangeman GShock be No1 when it does not have ability to display MGRS location. I questioned Casio on this and their answer it was not designed to be a military watch. Garmin Tactix & Fenix Range provide everything required by Military.
Watches requiring batteries are in the end only as good as the fitted battery no matter what the watch cost or the makers hype. So give me a mechanical watch self winding or manual wind.
Well, a mechanical watch needs servicing. Changing the batteries is easy and cheap. And if you get a solar powered watch, you don't need to "worrie" about battery change for decades.
@@MrPleers Yes servicing my own mechanical watch twice in fifty years. so watch batteries last 25 years do they? Your good self is swallowing the makers Hype to much without thinking.
Great, the solar-assisted Rangeman GPR-B1000 at no.1!!! Very well done!!! Probabably a new Rangeman in 2022.....Hopefully a mix of the Rangeman GW-9400 and the Rangeman GPR-B1000, no scrollwheel and just pushbuttons...
You list the Suunto Alpha Stealth as no 2. They stopped making them 3 years ago. You can,t use the app as they stopped it. I have one and it sits in a drawer. I can't believe you didn't feature the Gamin Instinct Tactical. It does everything and more that the Suunto does.
@@Outdoorsurvivalgear ….I’m wearing one, it’s a great watch….it feels smaller than it’s size on the wrist because of the light case and contoured shape…..on the rubber it’s easy to adjust.
@@robertsheahan8986 ….have you tried the warranty to get it repaired?…….or returning it to the distributor. Perhaps a Timex would be a suitable alternative…..supposedly it takes a licking and keeps on ticking…..plus their nicely priced just under $25.00.
@@robertsheahan8986 avoid the cheap entre level ones, the one shown on this video is great., I have it and have put it through some serious abuse and it is fine.
This video is outdated: Apr 24, 2021 - Japanese fan blog Great G-Shock World reported that the G-Shock Rangeman GPR-B1000-1BJR is no longer in production.
When I was in the military, and became a operator, I think just about everyone on the team wore G Shock. Some of the other guys, wore MTM Black Vultures, but I think when we were only on base.
I’ve worn Luminox for decades and must say they are hard to beat; the tritium vials are bistable at night for 15+ years and don’t require a second hand to turn the light on. The one recommendation I’d make regardless of the case you get, composite or stainless, I’d say the sapphire crystal is a must as it is near impossible to scratch and stays like new for years.
@@caliado: Tritium isn’t cheap; you can buy a base model luminox for $100 which doesn’t seem very overpriced to me. I’m sorry you feel ripped off but if you don’t want the tritium then just get a timex for less as, at least to me, they’re a very similar watch and marketing concept, “take a licking keep on ticking”.
I have had several Luminox watches and seem to get about a year to a year and a half out of them is all. I like the watches but for the money and short life not worth it,
@@mikebussart2575: Because they just break or stop working? I have ad one that I bought off E-Bay that while it looked quite real I think it was a knock-off which worked until a jolt made the hands contact each other and it stopped working; when I tried to repair it I opened it up and it just looked fake on the inside with plastic parts. I’ve also owned a few other ones bought through dealers or authorized sellers and haven’t had an issue with them, I have one that’s over 20 years and while the tritium is massively dimmer than when it started it still works. The best thing I’ve done with them is to get the sapphire crystal models which just don’t get scratched like their mineral glass can. I used to wear Times as they were cheap and just worked and I’d just replace them when they got too scratched or occasionally because the battery died. I have put new batteries in my Luminox and while I don’t remember the type I’ve tended to always get at least 5 years of battery life; I’ve gotten to the point of just replacing batteries in them at 5year increments as then I’m not caught by a stopped or slow watch.
I believe that this list is incomplete and a little bit spotted. Timex is definitely a low quality "candy watch", Luminox it's much more "brand" than a tool and many others "real" one completely forgot such Chase Durer, Zodiac, Suunto Spartan series, Squale, Officine Meccaniche Panerai....
I properly hate the auto-read of the script. Makes it really difficult to follow as there’s no intonation in the voice. Most “proper” military watches tell the time and not much else. All the toys may sound great, but wouldn’t talk to the battle systems, so are pretty useless in the field. These are more a macho toy
i think they need watches that can be sincronised very easy, with vibration alarm and with countdown. i was in the (romanian) Army long time ago, im very far from being an expert, that is what i guess a military would need. my current primary atch right now is a full metal (silver) gmw b5000d 1er. too shiny for the task, but its a beauty.
These ones that have Bluetooth and satnav.. im just wondering if that would be ideal on a military operation. Wouldn't a tech savvy enemy be able to zero in on your location?
Great sales pitch, a cheap watch is all that's required, expensive watches won't stop a bullet in the heat of battle and your hand will be intact and won't be mutilated as they take your expensive wrist watch..
Luminox is garbage. Ive had two shed the second hand. I keep checking these types of reviews but they are all the same and recommend the same watches. While some watches look nice they usually are not what I have found work in rugged conditions. Gshocks hold up pretty well if you need something more than time telling.
Hi. Good review. I'll not consider Luminox and Marathon as military watches, as they advertise it "Always on" become an easy target on the field, with basic complications as date, rotating bezel, with plastic (carbonox) or metal case doesn't worth the price.
ive got a Luminox (i dont remember the model, 8802? 8832?) and i dropped it from my pants pocket onto a tile floor. it dislodged several tritium tubes and broke a HOLE in the crystal. allegedly there is only ONE authorized dealer/repair shop in the country (in Florida) and i sent it there for an estimate for repair. it needed a new face, new crystal, new movement and a new case. the bezel i think was still okay. it was barely under the cost of a new one, albeit according to that "authorized" shop, i priced out a "non-authorized" watch reseller. ive got one of their $120 sentry watches and its my 2nd because the stem got bent on it when it got knocked from the kitchen counter to a WOODEN floor. i managed to get it replaced under warranty i think. they look great but there is NO WAY they survive under SEAL conditions... i have a Marathon Pilot/Navigator watch too. i looked at the link provided and at $500+ i got a STEAL when i only paid $140-ish
All Military Branches do daily PT, Physical Training, and have regularly scheduled PT tests. Soldiers can, and often do use separate watches, one for PT, one for tactical. A watch like the Tactix Delta, and new Tactix 7 Pro, do both, meeting PT and tactical needs, and therefore should be ranked higher.

Well, not we, when training we couldn't use watches. We learned how to use them in tactical terms, but when doing exercises we couldn't.
to be realistic, its way too expansive to be implemented for all. i always thought US Army its standardised with the best items, untill I saw many buy their own flashlights! what a shame!
If I was about to be deployed and needed a watch to take with me it would be either the ranger men 9400 or the Mudmaster GWG-2000 or the GPBR-1000 . Thing is .., when you are deployed there is a risk of being captured or killed. specially in spec ops. would you really like to donate a 1000 dollar watch to your captor/killer?
