I have the Rockwell mini saw and I found out when I first used it that it has a small red button on the left side as you can see that you have to push in, in order to release the trigger. It's made for right handed users. I happen to be left handed so I had to tape the button in so I could squeeze the trigger. Works fine save this trigger business.
I ordered the Rotorazer online and thought it would be good for me since I have small hands and would help in smaller jobs. It was supposed to be a birthday present in Oct - as of Dec 7th, still NO order! Great marketing - but seriously SUB ZERO customer service. I got the run around about blades being back ordered .... but over 2 months???
The Rockwell is complete junk. It couldn't cut a straight line in any material. Rockwell customer service could care less. I have a Kobalt 24V compact that works perfect.
But blades for the Kobalt are an issue. They only use 3.9" from what I hear, 4" won't fit, and only Kobalt sells them for $10 or more each. I wanted to get the Kobalt, but from a lot of reviews mentioned the blade issue.
true on the dremel. its smaller, lighter and i get better cuts for small things. i dont use it for ripping. thats what a circular saw is for. but for hard to reach places, where delicate cuts are required, thats where a small saw shines. paid $35 for my saw max refurb. because i'm cheap. haha
I have one of those Rockwell saws. Its a pain in the ass to use. The soal plate is so cheap that you can't keep a straight line cut...even with a made fence. The thing wants to wonder off the line! Don't buy that one!
