I'm a proud New Zealander but South Africa should be number 1. That's the most beautiful national anthem in the world. As great as our anthem is it pales in comparison to when you see the Boks belting theirs out.

I love South Africa's anthem. I think my favorite thing about each country is their respective national anthems. I don't know why there is so much animosity towards some of these anthems, but to me, they all are beautifully composed and sung.

Russian should be on the first place...

In New Zealand at the moment we are having a referendum to change our flag to better represent our nation (and so people can actually tell the difference between our flag and the Australian one). In response the opposition political party suggested it would be better to change our national anthem. I allways thought we had a pretty good Anthem which represents our ideals as a nation and is musically alright (as far as anthems go) So its good to see our little nation top this list. Might forward this to Andrew Little the labor leader. =)

They picked a horrible version of both the Canada and America Anthems. Especially the American one, It sounds horrible with some person who can't even hit the right note and keeps stuttering singing it, with only vocals and no instruments.

I like the Spanish,American and Russian anthems.

Damn! That version of New Zealand's anthem was the best version of any anthem I have ever heard! South Africa's is great too. All things being equal (meaning, the same style side-by-side), I would say South Africa's is the best in the world.

Great version choice for the Aussie anthem. 2000 Sydney Olympics a young Human Nature and an not too shabby looking Julie Anthony. Bought the audio CD of the soundtrack and promptly lost it! Nice to hear it again by chance. Thanks !

I can't believe people are getting butthurt over this. Obviously the top 10 is to the liking of the person who created this video. It's his opinion. There is no possible way to rank something like this because we all have different tastes as to what we like.

What a ridiculous title. 'Best' in this sense is very subjective. You should have simply titled it as 'ten great national anthems'.

As a born free South African I can say with pride, that our anthem deserves its place in this list. I get chills every time I hear it and goosebumps every time I sing it. This anthem makes me exceptionally proud of our diversity, our freedom and what we've achieved. Whilst the others are good, Nkosi Sikelel holds a special place for me.

As an Australian, This version of our Proud Anthem was a bit bitter to my liking. However. I fell in love with New Zealand's and Americas Anthems. The American Anthem in this video was so beautiful. The New Zealand Anthem in this video was also so beautiful

UNESCO has declared the indian national anthem as the best national anthem in the world.

Canada anthem seems to me kind of pop style perfomance. May be try another version of it. It's less powerful and graceful. My top of best anthems following: Russia, Canada, USA, Israel, New Zeland.

I Haven't heard Any of these anthems except the US and of course AU. I have to say Canada and New Zealand's anthem's have a great beat and mood to them.

I find New Zealand's moving and beautiful, my favourite.Love how Maori was incorporated.
