Speaking as a New Zealander, I find this the most patronising load of crap I've seen in ages. Omitted were house prices in Nelson and Hamilton, and you have to be a multi-millionaire to buy a house in Queenstown. This was more an advertisement for expensive real estate than anything else. Not to mention that the commentator sounded like she'd been the commentator at Disneyland for the last 3 decades.
New Zealand is an absolutely beautiful country, a great place to bring up kids, lots of out door activities, great beaches, restaurants, cafes, art galleries and more. Low crime rates and great education system. Have travelled the world and NZ is where it's at for me.
I see the whole country as beautiful Dylan, both North and South Island. It really depends on what you are looking for, city or country living. It can be expensive to buy property in the cities especially Auckland but if you do your research and match it to you needs I think you will be well pleased. Good luck. 👍
The land and the waters are my flesh and blood, the people are my bones. So privileged and humbled to be born on this land. Hei ataahua Aotearoa - my beautiful New Zealand.
WHOEVER THAT'S READING THIS , I PRAY THAT ONE DAY YOU WILL REACH YOUR DREAMS. ALWAYS KNOW THAT THE SECRET OF YOUR FUTURE IS HIDDEN IN YOUR DAILY ROUTINE. SUCCESSFUL PEOPLE DO DAILY WHAT THE UNSUCCESSFUL DO ONLY ON OCCASIONALLY.. which is investing persistently a little to get more
that is why it is called gods zone.. Our leader has kept the borders closed to keep out the criticisers and full of covid. Only New Zealanders allowed back in at the moment..
Why does everybody moan and groan about everyone and everything...Thank You for making New Zealand one of the finest countries to live in..have a nice day everyone x

@@aramamikaere9117 Sadly and embarrassingly true - , even a great place like this still has unintelligent drop-kicks and low-lifes too thinking the world owes them everything on a plate. Cant be too impoverish if you can afford your meth.

@@aramamikaere9117 If you think people live in poverty, and dont get any Govt handouts then you are choosing to be blind and making the choice to be useless while blaming everyone else for it. This is already a welfare state, the only thing you have to complain about is why you dont get *more* handed to you than you already do. The freebie's for nothing are just never enough are they? NONE of which you'd get anywhere else.
lol, it isnt, you getr better food in France, better views in Switzerland and better streets in Germany... and its away from everything you would call civilisation... its a few islands in the south pacific, with plenty of cows( German Holsteiner cows) and sheeps, all you have is landscape, with plenty of soil errosion, not to mention the high prices for food, you pay in NZ the same price for a single Kiwi as in Amsterdam... and the Dutch make much better cheese and beer..

The NO:1 place to live in New Zealand is AUSTRALIA. 650,000 + Kiwis can't be wrong. (this is approximately 15 per cent of the population of New Zealand.)
Yep! NZ was so great..I couldn't get a job after graduation in the 1970s and worked as a farm labourer for 4 years...went to Australia and worked with delinquents. I came home - to find there was still no opportunities. I went to the UK and are now retired on the Isle of Arran in Scotland with a pension and my own house . I didn't like seeing the developers in Auckland pull all the old buildings down in Auckland. There's an old 1929 photo of Queen Street showing it had a lot of character- with all the Victorian, Edwardian and art deco buildings built before WW2. It resembled a bit the city of Lisbon and London. Now its centre is another Kuwait. Characterless and no one can afford a house.
I live at the border of Auckland and Waikato. I get the best of number 10 and Number 4. Got the city lifestyle of an Aucklander close to the beaches at a fraction of the price and the serenity, clean and lifestyle living in the countryside with the surrounding hills. I love both Waikato and Auckland.
New Zealand is probably the most beautiful and safest country in the world with a pretty good climate. However living costs are high and salaries low. In addition the houses are quite possibly the most overpriced and low quality in the westernised world. Drafty, lacking in insulation, partial or no heat and one electrical outlet per wall. They are still waiting to break into the 20th century in regards to home construction. This year when viewing a NZ$1,000,000 new home the salesperson actually argued the point with me that too much insulation was a disadvantage! The house price did include plastic sinks and baths and laminate flooring.
A very excellent and accurate representation of our lovely country. I have lived a long life. Lived in Wellington, Dunedin, Christchurch and travelled the length and breadth in NZ. Retired into the country. It’s all, gorgeous. You do need to see beautiful Stewart Island an hour or so trip at the end of the South Island. Not to live there but a must see. 🥰
Cause No Real Person would Actually Advise Or Imply Living Among All the GANGS is a Good thing. No New Zealander Wants to Live there and that's why they All want to come to Australia.. This Video is Crap..
I have visited three times and each time I have enjoyed my experiences and the friends I make. Though I would love to live there I will respect the people. Let it be.
@@markd8405t5000 There are dozens of civilised countries that drive on the left, Australia, Japan, India, South Africa, I could go on but you get my point. And how does driving on the right hand side of the road make you more civilised?
Cost of living in NZ is really high; much higher than in Australia's major cities. Food is a lot more expensive than what it used to be & is higher than in Australia. Petrol is well over $2/L & you can normally only get 91 & 95 octane. 98 octane is rare. Wages are lower c.f. Australia. Housing is now really expensive and way more than it used to be, largely due to overseas investment. The affordability 'golden years' for NZ ended well over a decade ago. NZ's lower class has grown, not reduced. The health system is struggling & has been for decades. Giving up on ACC might be a good idea. NZ's roads are also not much better than 20 years ago when the population was way less. The government struggles to find the $ to upgrade them. Yet they have increased the length & size of truck / trailer units, as if the roads were better. Many major roads in NZ are still mostly one lane each way. Go figure. On top of that industrial dairy farming has expanded into low rainfall areas i.e. non-dairy country and has had a massive negative impact on our freshwater quality, both subsurface & surface. Clean green? Not even. NZ's a decent country and doesn't have the corruption of Australia but it has a lot of work to do to & a long way to go to become excellent, let alone 'heaven on earth'.
That's correct. Nz is a lovely country but they dont have streetlights in the rural areas. The malls are smaller compare to asia countries. goverment always cut expenses to avoid burden of the country but salary is still low. Healthcare is not good.
Unfortunately I agree with you there Bryce, still love living here, and am not affected by most of that, but then, the slice of paradise where I live isn't on that list, as long as that stays true this place should stay a little clean and free, one of the last little pocket's of true clean green cheaper nz..
@@snowcrow1178 yes definitely .. If you do a good long trip visit NZ 2 weeks, Australia 4 weeks and a Pacific Island like Fiji Rarotonga Samoa. 4-5 days for relaxation if you enjoy that.
Paula Wagstaff I don't have that much time , besides applying for visa for both Australia and new Zealand will be headache.... I want to explore something very rare where tourists don't go much... Iam researching about Chatham Island, seems cool destination
Kia ora I live in New Zealand in Wellington as a kiwi myself all I can say about this video is 6:00 wrong side of the road when driving Saying the places wrong for example (Ucklind) plus being talked to like a young kid thanks Siri But living in New Zealand is good
As a New Zealander I say honestly please don’t move here we are overcrowded especially in the Auckland regent the fact that it’s on this list has made me dislike I am from a small/medium size town out of Auckland and everytime I go to Auckland it’s terrible traffic is constantly busy people are always in a rush and people just constantly cut you off (ps to people driving in NZ) especially in the north our roads are very unforgiving we have some very sharp corners people die every week on our roads because of lack of attention, if you aren’t feeling confident pull over where it’s safe and let other traffic pass locals will typically go faster than even recommended but don’t just sit gong 80km in a 100km because that’s how people make stupid decisions to try and pass on dumb areas, by all means come for a holiday just please look after our beautiful country and if you decide to stay be safe cheers.
I visited NZ back in 2009 & it was a huge 1980s America nostalgia bomb for the most part. So many friendly, helpful people who didn't suffer fools either. But now, everyone there is bowing to the globalist leftist agendas & allowing them to destroy their countries all over the west.
It didn't mention Blackball? Classic coal miner village. Start of the labour party in New Zealand. Has the Hilton hotel ,world famous😉 Best ,genuine people. Best place to live on south island , West coast.
I would definitely say, Milford Sound! Rudyard Kipling called this place the "eighth wonder of the world", and if you visit this region of New Zealand, you'll see why. It is a spectacular Fjordland in the South-East corner of New Zealand. It is home to jagged cliffs, cascading waterfalls and mysterious air. It is so magnificent and breathtaking, you can't help but be left in awe of your surroundings. There are literally thousands of waterfalls around you, all plummeting into the still waters with such force it mesmerizes you. You will also sail past sunbathing seals.
If you’re going to sell our country to other people please have a kiwi do the speaking, your pronunciation of our Maori words is atrocious and hard on the ear...
No no no no no! Please, someone, remove this vile video. The narration is insulting, the footage of Aotearoa has likely been stolen, there are images contained within that are clearly NOT this country - shots of library, skate park, people having a good time at some city's night life... So much of this is wrong, culturally insensitive and inaccurate! Who has produced this? How dare you...
@anna4lease 58 we can either keep arguing about the negatives or find peace in the knowing that we have it better here than most others, trust me. Our data collection is robust whilst I'm not too sure about other nations, I'm happy here and that's all that matters to me.

Actuallty Adrian, N.Z has some stunning and varied scenery. You can still find uncrowded beaches and though some of the roads leave a bit to be desired, I've always found the people friendly. Been here for 40 something years. Just be prepared to pay a bit more for most things.
Do you like outdoor activities like skiing mountain biking fishing very good you're looking for nightlife not good at all especially after you've been to Asia and other countries
I grew up around the Wellington region, in my opinion the most beautiful town I lived in was a town called Carterton it was an absolute beaut of a place to live
@@TavisJacques New Zealand is the most beautiful country in the world, and everywhere it is lovely, but there are some utterly stunning places that the tourists have not yet discovered.
@@annawitter5161 yup, I live in one of them, we do have a tourist season here, 3 month's a year, then quiet, most of this area's untouched, it's nice to be able to go to a beach or for a walk in the bush and see only nature, no people..
Every thing is high priced e.g 1 lt of milk($3.20) cost more than 1 lt of gas($1.90) and because we sold to much land to the chinese others from over seas cannot buy any land to own. Do your research we are also facing a power shortage in the near Future.
Firstly Nelson is not a short hop to Wellington, it’s about a 2 hour drive to Picton and then a 3 hour ferry ride Secondly Rotorua has low housing prices because of its high crime rate. Thirdly instead of saying Wellington you should say the Wellington region as it is much nicer to live in the region and still have the city close. I was born in Lower Hutt and lived in Upper Hutt for 11 years and its great to be near Wellington as sometimes a big city is useful but you don’t have to deal with it ever day. Upper Hutt and Lower Hutt have everything you need so if you live there you technically never have to go to Wellington if you didn’t want to. Fourthly now I live in Dunedin and although it is a good affordable city to live in it does not have great weather, for me I like Dunedin’s weather but if you like nice hot summers Dunedin is not the place. Fifthly Auckland is literally siting on top of an active volcanic field but that is pretty low risk of an eruption at least at the moment but Auckland is the perfect place for you if you love traffic and expensive housing, oh it’s also the perfect place at the moment if you like COVID-19
