I still remember the first time I used a sniper aggressively. It was the R700 on overgrown on COD 4. It was really by accident. I was sniping from the hay piles and people just kept running up on me. I did not do it much more after that but come MW2, I was hooked.

There was something about the variable zoom with the MORS. It felt...different and I can't really explain what it was but it was noticeable and after a couple games of getting used to it, it felt like I couldn't miss. Also loved the single fire thing. One bullet at a time felt like cycling a bolt and you just never had to reload.

PTRS satisfying and awesome yes but I don't remember many people using it. I remember everyone using the k98 with irons and the occasional guy with a scope

My faves: PTRS-41 Barrett .50 cal (COD 4 MW2 2009) M200 Intervention MW2 Locus SVG-100 MORS Atlas 20mm DSR-50 VKS MSR All these monster are consistent, accurate, and reasonably fast. Not to mention fun to use!

Traditional. But the list is objectively wrong because Launch DSR 50 is leagues better then the intervention. I know thats hard for the quickscopers to accept but having such a hard hitting and accurate sniper rifle as the DSR was insane.

I got 3 favorites: 3.PSG-1, Black Ops 2.M82, Cold War (after the Season 2 buff) it went scrap to Glorious, and even *I* could do well with it💯 1. Signal.50, from MW2022. It's pretty much The Lynx.Great damage, range, default scope is nice, and Gunsmithing + weapon tuning REALLY lets you do alot with it

I think the Kar98k in MW 2019 was classed as a “marksman rifle” so it wasn’t technically a sniper rifle.

@@Mike-kn5jc i’d argue the snipers in MW2019 & MW2 could be at least honorable mentions the Kar98 was a beast in warzone but in multiplayer it was also enjoyable to use. Same with the SPR-208, AX-50 & the HDR people loved them with MW2, people already love the SPR again along with the Lynx/Signal 50 & one of the weapons in the SPR family

The MW2 Barrett .50 Cal had a fire cap of 150 RPM (still fast) and it had zero recoil in the campaign and spec ops. The Intervention from MW2 2009 had a different firing sound in the campaign and spec ops and I find it underrated.

Never been a big sniper fan, not because they are so powerful, because they drive me psycho, groupie, cocaine, crazy when people them up close. But it was fun in MW3 when my friends would play one in the chamber with snipers.

Hey just a suggestion that i feel would make these lists so much better; including weapon firing sounds when you mention an iconic gun sound. A pretty small addition thatll save us stopping the video and hopping onto another to find it then coming back. Would put the cherry on top of these great lists
