One song I loved was Hunter's Moon by Ghost, that runs over the credits of Halloween Kills. Made clearing cinema screens SO much more bearable knowing I could listen to that on big speakers for a few minutes \m/

My favorite is War March of the Priests, as used in The Abominable Dr. Phibes. It's a classic piece, but the way it's played, especially as an opening song, really helps set the mood of the film. You may even get a chill

One of the best movie intros is from "The Hunger" - David Bowie and Cathering Deneuve intercut with Bauhaus singing "Bela Lugosi's Dead". A lot of other good music in that movie from Iggy Pop to classical. It is a shame the studio made them change the original ending of that movie. Another memorable scene was CCR's Bad Moon Rising in American Werewolf in London. But in terms of soundtracks - Tubular Bells in The Exorcist, and the theme from The Thing - great to play on headphones late at night in the dark!

I love Thom Yorke's Suspirium. So beautifully sung, the lyrics are so poignant and meaningful, and it had a great impact on me when I first watched the Suspiria remake.

Love Type O Negative, and love their rendition of "Summer Breeze", but it's important to note that was a cover, originally done by Seals & Crofts. The original sounds quite different 🙂 Type O Negative always did great covers.

Cool list. I used to love lots of old horror movie soundtracks like Scream, Blair Witch, Strange Days (horrorish), Queen of the Damned and (of course) The Crow.

I really love After Dark from Tito & Tarantula in From Dusk 'til Dawn. I love that your extra is from Twin Peaks. Angelo Badalamenti's score and the songs/music in the series - and the series itself - have a very special place in my heart. And - while not a featured song or so - I also love the score for the original Candyman written by Philip Glass. An all time favourite.

I'm gonna give a shout out to some of my favourite "horror" songs. While perhaps not a horror movie, it's the only film that inflicted fear in me. Requiem for a Dream and it's orchestra composition of Lux Aeterna remains a favourite of mine. And I want to give a shout-out also to Disturbia's Don't make Me Wait from This World Fair, the nostalgia i have for that song is amazing for my teenage years.

Love the list of horror movies, big fan, now I got a list of recommendations. For me my top 5 are Jeepers Creepers, Black Water, Terrifier, The Ghost and the Darkness, and Dead Silence

The Neon Demon is a colossal masterpiece, under every aspect. Every single detail is so perfectly designed and thought of that I'm always in awe. A true work of art. And the music by Julian is amazing. Not to mention the club scene... oh my fucking god... ❤️
