You nailed it. I’m a New Jersey native and this park has some great thrills and great blend of adult / children rides. It packs a punch in a smaller space. However, it absolutely feels like a warehouse and needs the vegetation and theming that its sister park in Minnesota’s Mall of America does so well.
I was triggered by the use of the pronounciation of Aang's name from THAT movie but otherwise great video. This park has come a long way since its days as Camp Snoopy
That sucks that the jimmy neutron ride closed when you were there. I was there May 2022. The Jimmy Neutron ride is a lot of fun. You can even control if you want to turn back or forth on the wheel. This ride may cause dizziness, but it’s fun. I highly recommend it:)
I’ve always wanted to go to Nickelodeon Universe since I was 16. It’s nice to see that they still have their current and classic characters in their park
You’re welcome jor😢 hope you had an iii too and ur okay any day is a great if day and day and I hope yyyyyyyyuuu have an amazing independence week too my friend love 💗 g love 💕 and happy 😃 have 😂❤❤❤❤😂 happy tto yyyyy😮😮😮😮😊
I know someone who works for the American dream, they told me that the marketing team is extremely unreliable, them and the social media team have no clue what they’re doing, there’s a load of events that go on in this mall that are unannounced because marketing doesn’t post about them and much more
This is actually funny because I actually went yesterday to Nickelodeon Universe at American Dream. I was only able to ride Shredder and Sandy Blasting Bronco's but they were really good! When I go next time to spend the day, I can't wait! 😁
I think a dark ride would definitely benefit Nickelodeon Universe. Maybe one themed to the TUFF series, since TUFF Puppy is one of Nick's most underrated shows, and that show needs some much needed theme park representation.
I was just at American Dream this weekend and had no idea you could get into the park without a full ticket! We saw the ticket prices and had major sticker shock and just avoided the whole thing. It's a shame, if I'd known you could do a pay per ride thing I might have gone on a coaster or two.
I went back in October and loved the Shredder and Shellraiser! The Sandy ride i was not a fan off… too much rattle and i had a massive headache when i got off. The slime themed ride was just kinda meh.
This place looks amazing!!! It reminds me a lot of the defunct Nickelodeon Suites Resort in Florida, but bigger! I hope that I get to go there someday so I can ride those rides and meet Nickelodeon characters again!
I’ve been to the Nickelodeon Universe at MOA and it was so fun as a kid but as the years came on it became outdated with franchises that are not even recognized by the newer generation of kids….
We’re gonna need a bigger and more immersive Nickelodeon Universe theme park with multiple themed lands, lots of theming, and up to 50 rides and attractions like a collection of flat rides, 6 roller coasters, a couple of water rides, 10 dark rides, and more!
I live near mall of America where it has another nickelodeon universe, and looking at all the rides at American Dream, some look like redesigns of the coasters we have here, expect these ones look funner :D
Hi, I went to this before the pandemic! While the American Dream is kind of a mess of a mall, a lot of the rides at the Nickelodeon Universe are sooooo good! Especially the TMNT coaster. I hope they could build more of these miniature theme parks at other big malls >3
Been planning on going for a good bit, but with their price hikes it's been rough to justify it when you're terrified of many of the rides/too old for the others. I avoided seeing what was in this park for years due to this reason but I figured it was time to look. Glad I did, didn't know about the 2 hour discount! Now I can go and not feel bad about how much I paid lol.. I'm proud to finally be near a record holding theme park (I'm from LI) but I do wish the park had more middle ground for people like me. I guess its hard to ask for that though with such small spaces available around NY/NJ. P.S. Were you too old for Avatar and only know it from the movie? That's not how you pronounce Aang lol...Or Kraang (which I know is from TMNT, but I figure if you're too old for Avatar ya had to have been around during the TMNT days like me : P). Anyway that gave me a laugh haha. Always love your videos.
Six flags great adventure isnt much further and it has kingda ka literally the tallest and 3rd fastest coaster in the word and also el toro which is one of the best wood coasters
@@fredflintlocks9445 I feel like you completely skipped the part of my very first sentence where I said I'm either too terrified of many of the rides in this park/too old for others. XD Been to great adventure many times. Luckily it use to be cheap so I can justify the fact they've gotten rid of most of the rides I could go on. : P Yet, just like the above park, most of their doable rides if you're not a coaster fan are made for babies...
@@Inurantchan check out luna park in coney island its gotten a major upgrade in the last decade its massively overrated these days. The cyclone is a classic that still makes lists of the best wood coasters nearly 100 years on and the new thunderbolt over there packs a lot of punch in a tiny plot but neither are exactly kingda ka lmaoo. Theyve got a few more tame rides too, a log flume and like 4 or 5 more coasters that are more tame but not exactly kid rides either and endless flat rides that fall in that in between I think your looking for. Its expensive tho definitely city pricing! Check out some povs of the different stuff over there see if you'd be interested!
@@Inurantchan its definitely more of a summer spot but you can make a day out of it easily, right on the boardwalk with an aquarium right next door and also a baseball park for the cyclones and if your in long island you can take the train right there there's a ton of food just outside park area w the original Nathan's
The fairy-odd-parents one was scary for me cuz i went on the wanda one w my 16 year old brother. And mines spins so fast and went so fast it felt like u were gonna fall, for me it was so much air that that it pushed my head down. me and my brother took the orange roller coaster, green, and purple one as a big big big no no. Also went on that jellyfish one. Super fun, my red flag is just we were a bit close to the pillar, overall i liked the jellyfish one. I was originally gonna go on that climbing one, but my dad and brother was like “yeah no thats not gonna hold u up!” Also the skyline thing looked so high that i was scared so i went on the tiny drop tower instead- Felt like i was gonna slip under for the tiny one but that was because it would go up then down really fast, I didnt know that was gonna happen because i was gonna do it as the first ride but it was shut down for a little because a seat wasnt working, Definitely didnt go on that seat! Also about the popcorn it was sooo good! It had enough butter, they should make the bucket bigger though, I loved the rug rat one, It was made for little little kids, I wanted to try, Went on the second floor and it was fun, Also went on that super slow dora one before i left because my step bro and dad was like that looks cute lets try it! I loved that orange one that spined u, Also loved the loud house one, It just gave me some nice chill vibes, For little kids on that one they shouldnt be scared bc it doesnt go that high, Definitely good, I also loved the mall, It was just fancy and nice, Definitely willing to try the waterpark one day
idk if you’ve ever been, but Busch Gardens (one is tampa, fl and one is virginia somewhere) is an amazing theme park! as locals we go quite often, but it’s truly amazing. they have multiple record breaking coasters and i think you would really like it /)
Hey TPM Vids! Huge Fan Of Your Content, Sending Love From England, Sheffield. I Went To Disneyland Paris In 2017 When I Was 9 But Haven’t Been Since, Sadly.
We took our 5 tr old son there to enjoy the his birthday. We were extremely surprised by how many quality thrill rides they fit in the Nickelodeon universe. Not to mention all the eatery’s and shops. No long line when we left . legoland was closed as that was his main reason for going but we had a blast over all. 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
I absolutely love this park! I was lucky to travel to the area for work a couple times and had no clue I would fall in love with this mall and this park! Btw 2 hrs is plenty of time, my first trip I was able to do shellraiser 10x, timmys 2x, shredder, and the drop tower and gyro ride. My second trip I was able to do sandys 8x and the drop tower. Rides being closed is a major theme my first time Sandy's was closed and my second time every coaster but Sandy's was closed. Unfortunately I went before the pay per ride option and before you could walk thru the park but I would recommend checking the website BUT ALSO walk to the park and see that what you want to ride is open before buying tickets.
i resently went to the one at the mall of amarica it was really cool and fun. me and my family are planing to go to the amarican dream mall next sence its much closer to where we live
I went to Nick Universe at Mall of America a ton as a kid! They had a deal where if you spent a certain amount at the mall around Christmas you'd get free wristbands. The moms and grandma did all their shopping and would get enough for all the cousins. Great memories. Was fun but could only get about 1/2 a day there max. Interesting to see how similar the parks are. The skateboard is a repaint, so is the jimmy spin ride. The biggest thing I'm surprised about is that Gerstlaur shellraiser coaster. The rockbottom plunge at MOA has similar but smaller layout and mechanics, same car too. BUT my issue was always that it was a headbanger! Thought it was an age thing, but nope just something about that model I guess. Sucks to see they didn't fix that problem. MOA theming always felt a big warehousy too.
The Skyline Scream is not very good. The rotation is more than likely disabled permanently because it is a prototype. Also, the record for the tallest indoor drop tower now belongs to Magma Blast at Doha Quest in Qatar. If you want to ride one of those 20-seat drop towers from S&S, I recommend you ride the Hershey Triple Tower.
Going to Nickelodeon Universe in at least 5 years. Im probably excited for the shellraiser. In flat rides, its gotta be the loud house Edit: lets just hope that the loud house ride does not get taken down when i eventually book my visit. Love the series its a w
@@TPMvids Awesome! I really want to go there at some point. Although there's unfortunately only two rides with a possible third and maybe even fourth coming soon once the Donkey Kong area is finished, the main focus was clearly the activities and environment. There's tons of activities all around the park, even in the ques for the two rides.
I heard at one point there was an Invader Zim ride, which had me absolutely HYPED, considering it’s my favorite show, like, ever. The ride was called “Invader Zim’s Flip and Spin of DOOM” and it was bumper cars that rotated UPSIDE DOWN at random points. It was really unique and cool, and the inside of the cars even slightly resembled an Irken ship like Zim’s Voot runner. Unfortunately, the ride had several issues and was kind of a concussion waiting to happen. So they closed it. I’m not sure if it’s still there, because every time I’ve called the park and asked about it, they have no idea what I’m talking about. I hope they bring this ride back because it sounds awesome, or even just have another Zim themed ride that’s more of a thrill and less of a lawsuit. 😂
Yeah it sucks I never got to ride it but the concept seems pretty awesome. If you look behind jimmy neutron and next to sandy I think there’s still the sign for the ride
Even though I like Nickelodeon universe mall, they have to theme ALOT the plain grey walls kinda ruins the experience on Shell-Raiser they should paint the walls like the TNMT night time background that would make It really cool.
