2007 was the best for sure. I'm still playing the GM mode all these years later. 2008 is also good. The main reason I think both are better than 2006 is because the difficulty on 06 is messed up, even on normal the computer counters everything you try to do. And plus the 06 roster wasn't as good.
@@PoisonheartGothic It's subjective. But 08 was too easy to reverse. All you had to do was spam the reverse button and you would literally reverse everything. The only good thing about 08 was the GM mode, and 24/7 mode was pretty cool too. 06 and 07 are basically the same game imo.
Wrestlemania 2000 has a special place in my heart because it was a game I played religiously with my brother who unfortunately died in 2005. On weekend nights we would literally start playing at 9 p.m Friday night and finish up around 7 a.m Saturday morning. This was a regular weekend thing we did it was so much fun. It's one of my favorite games of all time, and along with No Mercy, are the main reasons I keep my N64 to this day.
should be #2 and #1 should be mania 2000 for n64. basically any thq game for n64 and game cube should top these lists. i never understand how they don't. i think the other games mostly suck that aren't thq.
I could not agree more. I still play Smack Down VS Raw 2006 to this day. Love General Manager mode. Best game since No Mercy (which I also still have). Great choice for a #1.

WWE 13, WWE 2k16 were really good games. For me WWF Attitude and Warzone will always be my favorites for different reasons and because i was a kid during that time, for me looking back it captured what the Attitude era was. Side note the button combination system never bothered me.
I dunno, I still had a lot of fun with Smackdown vs. Raw 1. It was fast paced and impact, had a great OST, a respectable roster and a customizable move set, which still has finishers and submissions that the modern games still lack.
How do you rank WWF Smackdown! but not its sequel, Know Your Role? It took everything from the first and expanded heavily. Shit, in the first, Create-A-Wrestler sucked hard. The second basically started the extensive Creation Mode that would become a staple for future games.
The main problem with Know Your Role is it's really bad season mode. Most of the time you're just skipping through the rest of the matches on every show, just to watch battling meters drain. It's so boring and annoying. The first game's season mode was better. Plus the first game also has shorter loading times then Know Your Role.
GameCollector420 What I liked about SvR 2008 was the graphics, GM Mode (best version of all the SvR games), 2 fighting styles per wrestler and the inclusion of ECW. I also like the fact that it was the last WWE game released WHOLE, none of that DLC crap. And what I didn't like about SvR 2008 was the roster, which had a weak lineup but still better than 2K15.

The very first Smackdown for PSOne was epic, RAW vs Smackdown is awesome for PS2, But hands down the best wrestling games ever are built on the AKI engine. WCW World Tour, NWO/WCWg Revenge and of coarse WrestleMania 2000 and No mercy. Why hasn't anyone released a game with that fighting engine ever again?
If you want another game with the NM engine then check out Def Jam Vendetta, it's by AKI and the engine is the same but it was a bit sped up... but if you want a game in the future then tough luck because AKI have gone on to make 3DS games... not even wrestling 3DS games

My first WWE video game that I enjoyed was the PS2 version of WWE SmackDown! vs RAW 2008. It was a pretty good game. Now, you mentioned in your top 10 worst wrestling games video that WWF in Your House was a crappy sequel to WWF WrestleMania: The Arcade Game because of it's power-ups and power-downs, right? Well, did you know that you can play WWF In Your House with power-ups/power-downs turned off? All you have to do is go into the game's options menu and turn the power-ups/power-downs off and there you go: WWF In Your House is now a TRUE sequel to WWF WrestleMania: The Arcade Game.
Hussein Al-zein 2008 wasn’t a bad game but it was lacking and it showed the roster was small compared to previous games, they took away season mode, 24/7 mode was repetitive with the same cutscenes. GM Mode was fun but other than that this game was lacking compared to SvR 2007 and SvR 2006.
SvR 2006 was my number-one favorite wrestling game and my number-two favorite PS2 game of all time (The Godfather was number one). It was also released for the PSP, and I had that version too. It was pretty good, but not on the same level as the PS2 version. It was by far (in my opinion) the EASIEST PS2 SvR game to play.

U nAILED IT! SVR 2006. played tons of wrestling games. Always coming back to this game. Very addictive and playeable. Vast array of moves but not too complicated controls. most of all.. CAWs mode is a blast. Still playing to this day.

I didn't play 2k17 but I did play 2k16 and 2k18 and 2k16 is much better especially with the sound track this is the best soundtrack of any wee 2k game of all time hands down and that's on xbox 360

It's funny that people blame 2K for not having a original story mode after WWE 12 but they seem to forgotten that THQ started it on WWE 13 with Attitude Era Mode.
So much nostalgia, hours spent playing those games. I had a n64 first and me and my brother spent hours playing wcw world tour then wcw/nwo revenge. Then wrestlemania then finally no mercy. Although at first I never had the Manuel for world tour or revenge so I never knew how to do finishers, till one day I double grappled and moved the middle thumb stick on the n64 controller and never looked back. Thankfully they kept the same scheme on the wwf games. Also remember if you hit the other wrestler enough they would eventually bust open, nothing better then hitting them with the stop sign till they bleed
Sorry I think Smackdown 2: Know your role should be number 1. Never ending season plus 4 player season is awesome. And i think it is a much better game than Here Comes The Pain.
I loved all the ones on GameCube especially day of reckoning. I never played any of the WWE games after SvR07. I didn't really like 07 that much, Raw and Raw 2 were great. Here comes the pain was my brothers favorite. Smackdown vs raw 06 is definitely one of my favorites. Great list, awesome video. I don't have much say on the newer ones never played them.
How the hell do you think the RAW games were great? Both those games were awful. The controls sucked, the first game severely lacked in content, the second game ran slow as hell and was really boring to play, among other problems. The original Xbox had the worst track record for WWE games. It only had 3 games, and all 3 are among the worst WWE games of all time.
SvR 2007 was my shit !! I always kicked ass at GM mode and I wish the 'E would bring it back soon if they havent already (havent had a WWE game in years)
alot of these games bring back fond memories of my childhood. on wwf attitude and even on wrestlemania 2000 and no mercy, me and 3 other friends, doing fatal 4 way cage matches were the best.
06 was pretty awesome I hated 07’s control scheme that they kept through SVR 11. Wish the DOR games got better than 10 though. Those games were awesome too

here comes the pain is the apitame of what a pro wrestling video game should be like. At the time the game had what was considered very good graphics, fun addictive gameplay style, awesome music obviously including entrance themes, a lot of different match types some of which were new to the series, a lot of different arenas, multiple different settings (in or outside the arena) where you could do pretty much anything, very fun and addictive multiplayer, great charecter models, amazing storyline(s) for the story/career mode, etc, etc, etc, etc,
wwe 2007 & wwe 2010 & 2011 were good for different reasons. WWE 2007 best wrestling sim to this date. 2k trying to get back to glory days of wwe games. With bigger rosters comes more glitches. Developer never has taken best aspects from each game. Weight detection, ability to do lo blows, multiple commentators has been absent from the games for way too long.
I know this is old but it just came across my recommendations. It's a good list, but I'm honestly confused as to why you chose the first Smackdown over Smackdown 2? Smackdown 2 was everything the first game was and then some. In fact, while I LOVE Here Comes the Pain, I've always rated Smackdown 2 above it. But I'm so glad you gave some love to WWE '13. So many people always say 2K14 for some weird reason when that game was riddled with issues because THQ went under half way through production. WWE '13 was far from perfect, but having that massive Attitude Era roster in modern graphics made for such a great experience. And this comment section makes me feel like I'm living in some alternate reality. SvR 2007 over 2006!? Are yall mad? I don't know if I would have made SvR 06 number 1...but it was most deservedly the only one from SvR that belonged on this list because 2007, while not a bad game, was the start of the downfall of the series...it only got worse and worse from there, to the point where we're at now with 2K19...enjoyable games...but WWE games used to stand up with the best titles of the year, they were games even non-wrestling fans would play. Hell they used to be part of Game of the Year discussions! And now they're shoddy releases every year that target a core audience.

the arm drop submission mini game on smackdown vs raw 2006 was an excellent feature and i am really upset it never appeared in in other wwe game it should come back
I played the hell out of SVR 06 in its prime, I also had a Gamecube at the time and pretty much ignored DOR 2 when it was new, but I did played years later and kinda regret missing out on it during its prime seeing how good it was.
Id argue smackdown2! and svr 2007 were both better games then their predecessors you placed on this list, but great video overall! Smackdown shut your mouth deserves an honorable mention at least.
