Anyone noticed what Penelope told Colin when he came to see her in the end of episode 2?! That it is Whistledowns job to report what everyone is talking about and it would be suspicious if she didn't. She even repeated the same thing to Eloise. I feel this will trigger something in Colin's memory in a later episode.
There's a new maturity to Eloise as well. I fully expected her to spend season 3 trying to sabotage Lady Whistledown and unmask Penelope to the world. Instead Eloise seems to be more determined to try and live her life, she can't quite forgive Penelope but instead of being angry her need to just have space feels so much mature than the Eloise who wrecked Penelope's room in season 2. There's definitely been growth between seasons
I've said it before and I'll say it again, Eloise is jealous, hurt, and mad at Pen. With every reason for her to be. Her friendship is Cressida probably didn't start out as a real friendship for her, but during this season you kinda sympathize with Cressida, just a tad. Tbh, I don't remember the Lord's name that was after Pen, but Cressida marring him makes a good fit for me, I think. He's got money and wants to travel, she can stay behind and be social, like she wishes to be. I guess in that time, when arrangement marriages were common, it wouldn't be so terrible for her...I haven't read up on Eloise's Story but I hope they change her story. Her character here deserves someone who sees the world like she does. And I'm going to break for Francesca! The new actress is beautiful and fits so well with this family. [Nothing against the previous one, I'm sure she would have been a good fit too.]
eloise's story in book is very nice and it's with someone who sees the world like her a lot, it's a new territory for her as a character, but it's a very nice story. and her outfits these season also refer to her book a lot
Eloise's book is my favorite. Philip is a character that has so much potential. He's a giant with a soft heart and he's a botanist! Flowers! 🥹 He's pretty gifted academically too if I remember. I honestly can't wait to see it
I just want someone to make a video cutting all the time Colin says "friend(s)" throughout the 3 seasons. *Spoilers* And then just end it with Pen's "But we are friends ..." and that look on his face.
i really don't think lady tilly and benedict will ever be anything more than casual, because i think he doesn't feel the chemistry and wants more, so they are setting him up nicely in a way so either season4, 5 or latest 6 will be his
I have to say I would have hated Cressida with a passion if not for starting to watch the 3rd season of the show first 😅😂 i was pleasantly surprised by her, her nightmarish family situation and her genuine friendship toward Eloise. A part of me hopes Pen joins Eloise and Cressida. The 3 together would be so awesome 😎
Okay here me out, I think the reason why some people are against LGBTQ+ main characters (like Eloise being LGBTQ+ or Benedict) is because it won't actually have a happy ending. Consider what happened in season 1 with Benedict's art professor! He said they all face scrutiny because of who they love! This means if Eloise or Benedict come out as gay, the whole family will be under scrutiny and will be shunned from society. Inclusion is very important but it's a bit difficult I think to do this in a regency era series. I don't know maybe I'm wrong. If so, please let me know (kindly)! Thank you♥️
You are not necessarily wrong, but Bridgerton's regency era is of an alternate universe anyway (a diverse one) so it's not as impossible as it would be in a historically correct adaptation. Also, I don't know if you are familiar with the books...? I don't want to write any spoilers, but I think Benedict's original happy ending could be made with a guy. (I personally hate his book, because he is the biggest jerk in it, but netflix Benedict is very different and so far very likeable and I have high hopes they'll change his story enough for him to stay a decent human being. Whether they genderbend his love interest or not.) Btw not main character, but in one of the books there is a gay guy (who is shown in a positive light) so that also makes me not understand all the outrage of some people.
@@babocsaizsuzsa I agree with you about Benedict's book and that he was a jerk. Overall I totally agree with you but the problem is even tho the series is very alternate universe-y they have established that gays are not welcomed (yet). I hope they can make Benedict's story a bit more interesting because his story is so Cinderella like.
I was ecstatic about the new season! It has not disappointed. The honeymooners are a treat. Miss Whistler-blower herself unexpectedly finding a love of her own is simply delicious. The club owners getting their much deserved boost into society and watching them wrestle between their old lives and expectations of the new. I'm exceedingly glad to see Mother Bridgeton find a possible new love of her own! I can't wait for the rest of the season! ❤
Frannie and John were my favorite storyline and couple for the season. I can't wait to see more of them. I also love Eloise's new look and the fact that it was inspired by Audrey hepburn in my fair lady
What I presume on S3 P2: 1) Eloise & Pen will made up because from the trailers, when Lady Danbury mentioned the reward of 1000 pounds to reveal Lady Whistledown & Cressida telling Eloise she will find ways to obtain the reward. I can sense her tensing up, & when Pen fainted, she was there too next to her. Also throughout the first part I can see that she is worried about Pen from time to time. 2) Colin & Pen might be separated for a while after he is aware that she is Lady Whistledown. But thereafter maybe we will get the hot mirror scene? 🤭 I also presume given the season's episode title released, Colin like in the book will help to reveal's Pen identity at the last ep, also probably Pen will be the one who deliver a son & take over her family estate. 3) Kanothy will be welcoming their first child, Edmund Bridgerton II. Season 4 guess is hopefully about Benedict's story, with Marina dying & Eloise writing to Sir Philip Crane, while back to being friends with her now sis-in-law Pen & John's Stirling death. Thus so that Season 5 will be either on Eloise or Francesca. :]
OMG Kate wanting to Mattress Dance as much as Anthony is adorable. She literally comes onto him & admits she wants his babies. EDIT: What a contrast with Season 1 and Season 3... Stars off with Benedict attempting to avoid Agatha to him actively seeking Lady Danbury out
It's not just about the looks. Cressida came across as a ingenious and unpleasant person for the first two series. Only in the 3rd series are we getting to see the reasons for why she is that way giving her character more depth and understanding. Plus some may consider Daphne more attractive than her because of her nicer nature
@@stephanieclark8327: These Four Episodes were a little disapointing too, so slow. And just when it got exciting it was over. Don't like it, that is more for normal tv Channels.
Seeing Gregory and Hyacinth slowly maturing, especially with the latter now wearing dresses with lower collars & showing a little cleavage has been wodnerful. I really hope the show progresses to their seasons!!!
@@Caroline-rv8wy Lowering the hemline and neckline was a rite of passage for young women in the period. Florence Pugh is 17 and probably very aware of the costume's she's wearing.
@@kathleenkalt3852 Do you think it's okay to be focusing on a 17-year- old's 'wonderful' cleavage? And Florence is 17 but Hyacinth is only 13-14. It's a weird comment to make.
@@Caroline-rv8wy Diverse huh?? I wish I had seen white or asian main lead in black panther🙄🙄🙄🙄 I hope they hire a strong asian woman as Rosa parks then. DEI is DEI and they literally wasted screen time on stupid mondrich family from the beginning 🙄🙄 no outcome till now
@@validenough Do you understand that Rosa Parks was a real person and the Bridgertons and Mondriches are not real people? That show is a sort of fantastical alternate reality where the nobles of London were multicultural, and that it doesn't claim to be historically accurate? I actually agree that there has been too much focus on the Mondriches this season, but it's nothing to do with their skin colour, which is clearly your issue with them. DEI is such a ridiculous buzzword and you sound ridiculous throwing it around. If seeing so many Black people in a TV show is so triggering for you, maybe you just shouldn't watch the show.
@@Caroline-rv8wy hmm think again... Queen Charlotte is not an imaginary person. What did they do??? So whatever you said is invalid. And if truth triggers you that much you should bless us with the erasure of your presence. DEI is buzzword??😂😂 That shows your intelligence lol. Ask people who deserve a position but lose that because of DEI. I bless you one day you experience that feeling of loosing something. And finally can't we expect fantastical fictional story of asian Rosa parks? 😂
I was very disappointed in the development of Colin, and actually questioned why Pen would be so enthralled by him. He seemed so immature and clueless. And what’s with all of the Bridgerton men having shady relationships on the side? Colin seemed to imply this made him an adult but he still seemed quite adrift, at least Benedict had a clue that something was missing in his life, a purpose. Colin would’ve been fine with flirting and all. He only showed a glimmer of understanding when he asked his “ friends” if they were lonely? I guess I wanted to see a better written character for Colin, the one they offered was rather vapid.
Colin was playing at being a rake, not truly being one. It's the whole point. He thinks he should be one bcs that's what society and even his brothers expect of him, but he is not and it doesn't make him happy so he has this realization.
