I don’t know mate. Technically Yugi/Yami never broke the rules. The manga (Which did not have many crazy restrictions) was first released many years before the IRL Trading Card Game. The Anime just follows the manga logic. Plus is pretty hard to lose when you are the fated “King of Games”.
Well in anime many things were different , like many of the cards' effects , and as for infinity + 1 , it wasn't plus 1 they had same amount both infinity , it was the effect of the yugi's monster which brought back the 3 knights , you can check the wikia
The dub's script was largely objectively bad, but damn if the voice cast wasn't just fantastic. Watching through, they do such a good job of selling the laughable dialogue that I can almost buy into the fate of the world hanging on the results of a card game.
It shouldn't. Why? That only happened because he watched and learned Yami Yugi's strategies during the time they spent together. Thats a greater advantage than knowing Kaiba will use Power and Dragon strategy. You expect it, but you don't know what other cards he'll use. Yugi bragged to Atem when they were getting off the ship that he knew all of his moves. That was out of character of him to do and the reason why his victory was cheap. Also, Yugi didn't become the Game King when he defeated Atem, confirmed by Takahashi.
The moment where he makes a "create a card" contest to send them to space to teach aliens how to play Duel Monsters and then maniatically laughs in front of everyone in GX
I'll have you know that I am the king of this and every other game! Monopoly! Clue! Chutes and Ladders! I rule over all of them! Doesn't mean I understand them.
10. I definitely agree with that duel between Mai and Yugi. 9. I was really impressed that he had 10 life points left and he beat Raphael. 8. Noah definitely needed a butt kicking lol I’m glad Yugi taught him a lesson. 7. It was definitely a duel for me was hard to watch but Yugi is such a good friend to Joey. 6. Quite impressive with Yami Bakura but still glad that Yugi won. 5. Strings gave me a chill plus Yugi was really clever. 4. Kaiba and Yugi worked well together as a team even though they are rivals. 3. Yugi is still the king of games after beating Kaiba. 2. The mind shuffle between Atem and Yugi was definitely clever & he’s definitely the king of games. Honorable mention: Dark Magician girl is my favorite duel monster. 1. Between Marik and Yugi it was definitely a duel that I would never forget.
Arkana vs Yugi will always be one of my favourite duels in the original series. Especially that turn where they just play out spell after spell and trap after trap.
@@DianaGohan Well Black Luster Soldier is much more important than proving that Yugi has grown and can now stand on his own and allowing the Pharaoh to move into the afterlife.
@@PzychoMantis90 The point being that Yugi Moto aka NOT ATEM only has TWO victories so this list should be retitled as "top 10 biggest Atem/Pharoh victories in Yu-Gi-Oh".
@@DianaGohan he did mention at the beginning of the video he wouldn't add that duel as he says either yugi and atem wins which means one would have to lose that duel so it doesn't qualify
Along honorable mentions I would add three Tag duels: Yugi& Kaiba vs big 5 in Kaiba's Virtual game, Yugi &Joey vs Paradox brothers and VS big 5 in Noahs realm
Dude number 10 is not only the greatest victory did he has worn but it was the car did lyrically he used to lyrically make me have my literal favorite boss monster in this entire game
My personal favorite has to be Yugi vs Kaiba in Duel Kingdom, but a close second one is Yugi vs Weeble. I loved to see more of that dark Yami like season 0.
Amazing I love the darts duel with yami yugi and love a top ten fun entertainment duels of all the yugioh shows from the original to vrain too. Fantastic job on the video watch mojo
Now that we've done this, how about Top 10 savage Kaiba quotes. Damn that guy has waaay too much savageness I sometimes forgot his voice actors birthed the "Drying Pan"
@@Deathmare235 I mean Yami Marik was a pretty big villain also. He was trying to basically take over the world and was sending everyone he dueled to shadow realm. Also marik beat Bakura in a duel so marik more threatening
yugi vs strings is such a memorable duel. if he didn't win slifer the sky dragon he couldn't save mankind. and its the first time we ever see an Egyptian god card. but nothing beats marik vs yugi
Watching this list brought me back to my Saturday mornings where I woke up, went downstairs, got a bowl of cereal, turned on the tv to watch new episodes of my favorite cartoons on Kids WB
Yes, same with me. Good old days. Every Saturday and Sunday especially Sunday, I went to my grandma's house every morning just to watch cartoon with my cousin about 4-5 hours until 11 a.m. or so. Because TV in my home is in my mom's room and usually she is still sleeping in the morning so I don't want to disturb. 🤣 Another reason is my grandma's house is full of plants (but not garden, she has no garden) so it's really refreshing in the morning with cool air.
Yugi vs Weevil - the waking of the dragon one. That's when Weevil pulled a dumb prank on him and the Yugi or Pharoah literally end him is the most brutal way. Its the "Im gonna end this mans whole career" type thing. Yugi vs Noah would the most ridiculous moves ever for a card game but the way how it ended was just satisfying. And for people saying that Yugi is in the wrong that Kiaba lost to Noah is actually wrong themselves because technically Kiaba would've won that easily if Noah wasn't such a sore loser in risking Mokuba life.
Marik wasn’t that good he technically almost beat by Mai and Joey. Kaiba should have beat Yugi in the semi finals he was dominating the whole duel but plot armor with Joey spirit showing up and that with Yugi pulling out 2 magic cards we never seen in deck before out the blue 😂
Kaiba should've defeated Yugi every single time his deck is objectively stronger than Yugi's mess of a deck (dude runs KQJ knights without even running Arcana Joker Knight) It's why later in Zexal and Arc V they made Kite and Declan so strong, with only one of them losing to protagonist once in the final episode as a way to show the character's growth as a duelist
@@totalwartimelapses6359 Arcana Joker Knight didn't even exist when season 2 of Yu-Gi-Oh Duel Monsters aka the Battle City Tournament season happened. Cause if it did then Yugi/Yami would be fusion summoning Arcana Knight Joker any chance he got if all three were on the field.
I agree with this list nothing wrong with it personal favorites are Yami vs Marik Yami Vs Strings Yami Vs Kabia in Battle City Yami Vs Pegasus Yami Vs Bakura
I've had some ideas for new cards. More specifically, new Gandora cards. "Gandora's Stone of Destruction" Level 1, Dark attribute, Dragon type effect monster 100 ATK/100 DEF "If this card is sent to the Graveyard: Add 1 'Gandora the Dragon of Destruction' from your Deck to your hand." "Gandora's Chick" Level 1, Dark attribute, Dragon type effect monster 500 ATK/500 DEF "You can send this face-up card you control to the Graveyard; Special Summon 1 'Gandora the Dragon of Destruction' from your hand, ignoring its summoning conditions. "Gandora King the Dragon of Devastation" Level 8, Dark attribute, Dragon type effect monster 0 ATK/0 DEF "Cannot be Normal Summoned/Set. Must first be Special Summoned (from your hand) by sending 1 'Gandora the Dragon of Destruction' from your hand or field to the Graveyard. This card gains 500 ATK and DEF for each 'Gandora' monster in your hand and your Graveyard. Once per turn: You can pay half your LP to destroy all other cards on the field, ignoring their effects (card effects cannot be activated in response to this effect). If this card is sent to the Graveyard, you can Special Summon 1 'Gandora the Dragon of Destruction' from your Graveyard to the field, ignoring its summoning conditions." "Rise of Gandora" Spell card "Select 1 'Gandora King the Dragon of Devastation' from your Deck; banish it. During your next Standby phase, add it to your hand." "Gandora's Revenge" Trap card "Activate this card only when a 'Gandora' monster is destroyed by battle. Destroy the monster that destroyed that 'Gandora' monster, ignoring its effects. and inflict damage to the opponent equal to that monster's ATK (card effects cannot be activated in response to this card)."
5:15 False. Yami Yugi holds the title of Game King. When Kazuki Takahashi created the characters he chose Yami Yugi to be the Game King. Yugi would transform into a hero who would defeat his enemies in multiple games.
The final duel between Yugi and the Pharaoh should’ve been on this list, because it was the ultimate climax to show how far both of them had come from the beginning. Plus, the power move the Pharaoh pulled, summoning all three God cards on his first turn.
I honestly expected number 1 to be Yugi's final duel against Atem. Especially since that was the duel to determine the Pharaoh's destiny. But in the end Little Yugi won setting the Pharaoh's spirit free.
The Flute Of Summoning Dragon doesn't work on your opponent's side of the field. Also, Kaiba should have used XYZ Dragon Cannon's special ability when he summoned it. Although you could argue his way of summoning XYZ was dubious but the two points still stand
it's cool that everytime Yugi/atem lost, was a big reason. the duel when Atem lost yugi was intense.... I cried so hard. walking of the dragons were a atem based and I love that plot twist... spoiler alert.... it was the first time I saw atem crying
Based on card game lore, it's Exodia since his effect is an instant victory condition. Anime mythology wise...probably still Exodia since he's the only one that can go toe-to-toe against Zorc on equal footing, even if he lost. The three Egyptian Gods had to work together to defeat Zorc.
