He certainly should've I still say it all the time. They didn't want "Malcom X" to be an Oscar winner. Al Pacino won that yr and they used it to give him his career achievement award. Pacino is all time great I take nothing away from him, but he won for Scent Of A Woman really? Any movie fan or Pacino fan that isn't even top 10 Al performances. Who have you ever heard say Pacino and Scent of woman? Godfather 1(even though they put him in supporting actor for some reason while Brando won best actor), II, Serpico, Dog Day Afternoon, Scarface, And Justice For All, Dick Tracy(which he was nominated for supporting actor the same yr he won), Donnie Brasco, Devil's Advocate, hell even Any Given Sunday are all his films you'd mention before you get to the 1 he actually won his Oscar for. Denzel not only should've won for X, but Hurricane is possibly his best performance that also should've won. It's the same with him as well I love Training Day as much as anyone, but on a acting basis Denzel was basically being Denzel just bad. A good looking smooth than mofo cool ass dude, Hurricane and Malcom took much more acting on his part he could do Alonzo in his sleep. It's probably the bottom of my great performances of Denzel Oscar nods. X, Hurricane, Glory(did win supporting) Flight, Fences, Roman J. Israel might be tied at the bottom. All these are imo much more deserving acting performances by him than Alonzo. Same Pacino who in the hell can look at him say someone who isn't a cinema history freak like me look at his performance list Godfathers, Serpico, DDA, Brasco, scarface, etc and say which one did he win his oscar for who the hell would go "Scent of a woman"?

Although the movie was great,and she did a phenomenal job acting in "What's Love Got To Do With It." Angela doesn't really look like Tina.
