I still want to know what exactly happened between Walt and Gretchen back in the "Gray Matter" day, and why Walt left Gretchen in the middle of the night, during a supposedly happy holiday weekend, with no explanation. We do learn that later, Gretchen marries Elliot and the two of them buy Walt's interest in Gray Matter for a mere $5K, and that Walt resents them forever because of it -- but we never learn why, or exactly what happened in the Gray Matter time. Does anyone have any thoughts on this?

@@10willybilly Some of the characters are alot more well written and have more personality. However in turn it's alot different to BB since in BB it's family life mixed with drug life. BCS focuses on a few more angles than BB had. It actually gives some kinda alright characters in BB a fully fleshed out story and motive and you start to realise how much Walter destroyed. You realise Mike was right on multiple levels when he explains to Walter "We had a good thing going on!" BCS is the buildup to the world of BB and breaking bad is the tale of that world being dismantled by Walter through his pride. That's my take personally so far. Maybe I over talked a bit but yes I certainly think Better Call Saul is slightly better than Breaking Bad especially since Vince Gilligan had the experience of working with breaking bad beforehand and can only improve further on with Better Call Saul.

Growing up, the only "Lalo" I knew was my cousin. This is a nickname for "Eduardo" or "Eladio". I wonder if Don Eladio was called Lalo growing up🤔? Yes! this was TV gold, and that is an understatement! The way that Vince, Peter, and the writers showed us exactly who those 2 characters were is arguably the best and most gripping character developments and reveals in TV history!!! Think of this, from Breaking Bad to Better Call Saul, I would think that you couldn't come up with 2 new characters (when the main ones were already pretty much legendary!) that take a show over! Seriously, from Walt, to Jessie, to Saul (aka Jimmy), and Gus, how is it possible to introduce 2 new characters that can completely make you either root for them or hate them this much??? Lalo and Ignacio were able to do it! It was because of the WRITING and ACTING! P.S. Lalo (Tony Dalton) is such a great character and actor. Even more amazing is he was the person who dropped from the ceiling at "Travelwire" and also begged the shows bosses to let him do the jump onto the car in desert! I think we can all agree he would have nailed that jump too! He was great hustling through that tunnel on his hands and knees! That smile and confidence in his intellect and physical agility is unmatched in a character! Also, the way that Mike Mando (Nacho) gets everyone who watches to root for him is maybe just as impressive! I seen an interview with him and he is such a cool guy and very humble, and he plays that to perfection in his character!

Mike Ehrmantraut's origin is the same as The Punisher's. They're both cops. Dirty Cops try to force them and their family to help them with their crimes, and when the dirty cops don't feel like the Ehrmantrauts/Castles are cooperating enough, they kill the family. So Punisher/Mike then break the law to kill the dirty cops and keep breaking the law to serve their sense of justice. Of course Mike really was also dirty, and He also wants to make money breaking the law, not just break it to serve his sense of justice. And eventually Mike's sense of Justice is pretty limited. He helps a bloodthirsty crimelord expand his business at the expense of even worse rival crimelords. It looks no different than doing it for the money. His sense of Justice is that Kaylee deserves money. Then Walt screws that up, even before he kills Mike.
