The only reason Puerto Rico is number one is because most of the passengers arrive at just one airport. Whereas in the Dominican Republic we have about 7 international airports which total more than the number of passengers than Puerto Rico gets. The Punta Cana airport alone, gets about the same number as the San Juan airport.
@@jonathanz361 I know Puerto Rico has more than one airport. What I said was, that most of the passengers arrive at the Luis Muñoz Marín airport. The other ones don't handle a significant amount of passengers.
That's true. Puerto Rico really has one major airport and that's San Juan . Dominican Republic has more airports and if it had one single major airport it would have been on top.
The southern part of the island in the parish of Christ Church..it has one of the longest runways in the Eastern Caribbean, with a runway length of 11,017 feet.
No Piarco Air port Trinidad and Tobago. I fully didn't expect it because most of the air traffic in the Caribbean is as a result of Tourist arrivals and T&T definitely not a tourist destination. So fully expected.
How many passengers go through that airport yearly, not much compared to the other airports in the Caribbean, Cal is the most popular airline that flies there so go figure
@@haradinscotland8572 I’m not saying no, I know that. But I was referring to that specific video clip, it was a clip from Dominica and not the Republic.
@@haradinscotland8572 I'm not sure, but I think you pronounce it differently. For example, people from the Dominican Republic are pronounced 'Domi-nican,' while people from Dominica are pronounced 'Domi-ni-can' (similar to 'Dominick-can')."
*3 Airport of the Dominican Republic* 🇩🇴 - 2:51 Cibao Internacional AirPort, City Santiago - 6:18 Las Américas International AirPort, City Santo Domingo - 7:12 Punta Cana International AirPort, City Punta Cana They are fighting for the top 10 : Gregorio Luperón Inter. I could not help by notice that your speaker mispronouced over 45 words. Perhaps Acb King TV you need to pay more, someone that can actually speak properly
Aruba this year will have like 1.6 million passengers. And remember it's for an island with only 120k population, compared to the other ones on this list.
Fix the damned pronunciations! Aime Cesaire is pronounced Aimay Sezaire and it is named after the late writer and intellectual, a brilliant man of letters. Check how to pronounce Oranjestad. The 'J' is pronounced more like a 'Y'. Did I hear you say 'STREET' Thomas instead of SAINT Thomas? And why is Barbados' Grantley Adams International, nor The Bahamas' main airport not on this list? I don't like AI-voiced videos and I also think that this list is not well-enough thought out.
TO THIS TOP 10 CARIBBEAN AIRPORT BLOGGER [“ACBTV”], ‘ALTHOUGH MUNOZ MARIN INTERNATIONAL’S BEEN #1 [SAN JUAN, PUERTO RICO],’ “THE 4TH RUNNERUP, CYRIL E. KING INTERNATIONAL’S [ST. THOMAS, USVI] BEEN MY LOVELIEST IMPRESSION!!” HO HO HO HOAH!! 😹😹
Ohh please! If you are going to post informational videos on RU-vid, at least make your due diligence and get verified and correct information. Showing clips and footage of Dominica 🇩🇲 as the Dominican Republic 🇩🇴 is a super ultra Dumb Mistake. If you want your channel to grow do things correctly.
Stupid comments. The title says Top 10 Busiest Airports and these people are arguing about a whole island. 🤦♂️ My island is better than yours! No mine is better! 🙄
@@Bgrmplanespotting Yes punta Cana will build a 3rd runway, building a terminal C and expanding its terminal A. Dominican Republic will receive 11 million tourist this year. Punta Cana received last year 9 million passengers and San Juan 12 million. Punta Cana is getting closer and closer and in no doubt in a couple of years will surpass San Juan.
Clearly got his data from social media. The videos didn’t even accurately depict the respective island you spoke of. Very flawed and misleading video. 😂
Lo que pasa es que en el Luis Muñoz Marín recibe un gran porcentaje de viajeros en tránsito o escala que no van a quedarse en puerto rico. Eso es lo que pasa. Quien va a punta cana, va a punta cana. Esa es la diferencia.
San Juan LMM Int'l Airport made the last year 2023 12 Millions and we expected this year 13.2 Millions passengers , so Puerto Rico has 2 more In'l Airports Aguadilla make about 800000 passengers and Mercedita Ponce that make about 500000 passengers. Also San Juan has Regional/National Airports Isla Grande that make about 150000 passengers per year. That is Puerto Rico and Information come from PR Port Authority.
San Juan airport customer service sucks big time. However, it has a first world infrastructure. Remember: puerto rico is America but it’s not America if you know what I mean.
I think the stat numbers are outdated. Las Americas receives more than 5 million passengers per year and Punta Cana receives well over 8 million passengers, per year.
Sorry but I simply don't like how you did not mention st croix tisx Henry E rollsen airport we get flights days and it is part of the Caribbean islands😢😢
@@waynejackson169 if u look into it...u can see the reason...most US airports are built for layovers.. The poorer Caribbean countries don't build airports up to that standard ....mostly single terminal airports
Airports with 1 million on this list but POS and BGI with over 2.5 million each aren’t on the list. The actual Top 10 is: Luis Munoz SJN Punta Cana, DR Las Americas. DR Sangster, MBJ Jamaica Grantley Adams Intl BGI Barbados Guadeloupe Ciboa DR Martinique Norman Manley Kingston Jamaica Cyril King St Thomas USVI That’s the real top 10 based on 2023 data…noting both Bahamas and Trinidad would be added based on 2019 data.
I love D.R. but like let PR be first, stop fighting that DR is this and does that, its true 90% of passengers arrive at SJU but oh well, is not your problem.
Nobody is fighting my brother. The truth is based on the numbers DR will soon surpass Puerto Rico . DR has a stronger tourism base and a more robust economy .
@@tavroaar8173 I know but am sick of both our countries having to compare each other. Just live and stop comparing, I personally don't care about who's has better tourism or who dosent. For me Puerto Rico is all to me and that's it.
