That Sales Ban/Mystic Mine combo is insidious. Sales Ban becomes protection for MM because the destruction effect says "Destroy this card" (as in, the card forces the player to activate the effect that destroys it) and not "this card is destroyed" (exactly what it says. The card destroys itself, no player involvement required). That's some top-level rules lawyering BS and I love it!

I don't think it would make the list even if it was in the TCG since even if we talked about "top cards which declare a name" instead of "top declaring name effects," it needs a named trap card that isn't splashable to work. I mean if the named card was "Starlight Road," "Boo Boo Game," "Recall," "Mystical Space Typhoon," "Anti Spell Fragrance" or instead of a named card it was "You have at most 3 types of monsters in your graveyard" then it might be good enough to make the list even if it was for the grave lock, but "Exhange of the Spirit" isn't exactly great in a lot of archetypes. True Exosister Carpedivem is not great outside it's archetype too, but I think it's better.
@@alex_zetsu In fact, decks that play this card never activate Exhange of the Spirit anyway, they just mill it from their deck, so it doesn't need to be splashable. And even if you didn't have Exhange of the Spirit in your graveyard, Gravekeeper's trap still lets you discard a card and search for Agido or Kelbek and works as a pretty good engine for milling cards, and this card itself can be searched out by Mudora. And all these cards get extra benefits for Exhange of the Spirit being in the graveyard, so playing this one Garnet isn't so bad
@@user-hz7tt1ed8d Oh, I didn't realize the search function was in a separate sentence from the graveyard lock and therefore didn't need Exchange of the Spirit. I guess this makes it a bit better. It still gets awkward if you draw the garnet.

@Leonardo Martínez There's a Trap Card called "Evil*Twin GG EZ." I tried using it when I first made the deck, but it's not very useful, which also means it's unlikely to be used in a mirror match. However, you could theoretically run one copy just to troll your opponent with Crossout if you have game on board; that's the joke here.
just make sure you burn your opponent or play a card that gains life points before they go off that way, when the combo ends up going into time, you win :)
Funny timing to put Crossout Designator in a Duel Logs video when that thing will be limited next week in Master Duel. He sure has a fancy timing for these top 10 videos.
My favorite Convulsions/Oath strategy is to play a Slifer deck- since Card Advance and The True Name also act as guessing support, give me extra summons, and let me draw tons of cards. Combined with Familiar engine (the 1500 ATK/200 DEF “Summon if you control a Spellcaster” monsters), Dark Doriado for stacking of said familiars for guessing, and Rouge of Endymion/Magical Broker for continuous spell support (in addition to being 1500/200, and thus searchable by the familiars, in addition to being Spellcasters so the familiars can summon themselves). And for fun: triple Peten The Dark Clown, for when I guess wrong with Oath (and again, is a Spellcaster for familiar summoning).
That sounds so cool. That said, I don't really see the appeal of Archfiend's Oath. Unless you get at least 4 cards out of it or need your LP below a certain amount, I think the one use Upstart goblin is better.
@@alex_zetsu I like it because it's a soft once per turn- so I can have multiple up at a time. On top of that, in a Slifer deck, Upstart is card neutral (so Slifer won't gain ATK), whereas Oath (as long as it remains on the field) will eventually net hand profit, so long as you are playing deck-stacking cards. And again, if you guess wrong, it's a free mill tool for graveyard card effects- especially so if you stack them on purpose. But yeah Upstart is a way better card for the sake of an always-reliable draw and general deck thinning.
Ah, Exosister. That's my recent new favorite archetype, aside from Rikka and Valkyrie. I like the design and theme of the cards; exorcist/nuns/sisters, and the fact they can negate GV effects and summons. I've been using them a lot in Master Duel.
Exosister tcg player here. I liked exosister because having a decent board turn 1, turn 2 technically you can have four banish and some hand traps to interrupt your opponent. For master duel, im still waiting for exosister martha and exosister returnia and magnifica to be released.
Surprised that "Cloak and Dagger" didn't make it into the top 10. I recently stumbled across it and am pretty amazed at how well it works. You can usually tell when someone tries to go into halq, anaconda or some other key cards of their archetype and it usually stops them dead in their tracks. Banishing the target is amazing, it completely screws so many decks, for example: live twins, prank kids, yellow boi, phantom knights etc.
Was working on a 5-headed dragon mega retrain, and this list gave me an idea to merge two of its old effects together and make a new one that declares names, (one that I’ve posted on this channel over and over frankly as I try to get feedback to adjust it to perfection) and I DO want this proofread if anyone has the time: _Seven-Headed Pendulum Dragon_ (DARK) Level 12 Pendulum effect: _During any turn, You may banish any number of Dragon/Wyrm monsters with different attributes from your hand, field or GY; activate the following effect(s) depending on the attribute(s) of the monster banished. Archfiend's Oath is hilarious to resolve in Master Duel. It just gives you a search box to type in a card name with search results displayed below to select from
Lullaby is pretty nice for me, I like just declaring Ashblossom, Either I get Halqcombos, or I get a handtrap, Or in MD, I declare Maxx"C", to always get a Link material if I need it, *and if they dont summon it, Then I know they are playing Floowandereeze, or some backrow focused deck
In MD I always declare Gryphon Rider, whether or not he special summon it doesn't matter since it would be special summoned anyway and they lose Gryphon since majority of adventurer engine only run 1 Gryphon. Alternatively if they really don't want to lose their gryphon, they might ash it making me not having to worry about ash.
@@CrnaStrela My problem there is not all decks run Adventure, A good amount do, but not all. I declare Ashblossom because the *ONLY* decks that don't are FTK gimicks, or Flower Cardian
I play Exosister every now and then but Negating boss monsters effects with Exosister Carpedivem is satisfying when i can pull it off. Unfortunately master duel is still missing some key monsters for Exosister (at the time of this comment).
Crossout Designator's going to be limited in Master Duel, too. It is a little nuts that it can negate any main deck card in the game as long as you have a copy of it. I never knew about Psi-Blocker, but I'd consider it for my Endymion or Solfachord decks if I had the space.
What im going to be doing is playing prohibition to replace the crossouts that are gone. The video explains it well. Its the next best choice after crossout
Best part is that it isn't limited to just HTs. Going second cards can also be used for Designator or if push comes to shove and you're up against a mirror deck, just declare one of the key combo pieces and you may just say GG EZ afterwards.
The only reason they hit Crossout in Master Duel is because it’s anti- Maxx c...Master Duel loves Maxx c and anything that outs it a little to easy will get hit in some form
@@giovannilawes9120 I wouldn't say that's the reason, but my view may be skewed as I sometimes wonder why I even run Maxx C since I probably resolve it 20% of the time. Even still, I'd probably drop Master Duel altogether if they banned Maxx C. Crossout getting hit might have more to do with how anti hand trap in general it is, since Called is at 2 and Crossout covers more bases.
Archfiend’s Oath + Convulsion of Nature = my super old Exodia deck. This was in Reverse of Arcadia when I was going for achievements and I didn’t really have that many options for the deck since I was being an impatient tool and decided to go for it early and not when I was best equipped to do it.
Didn't knew about Sales ban, so as someone thriving for anti-handtrap cards, this is really helpful And remember, use Prohibition for Nib on 4th summon
While D.D.Designator is great in Thunder Dragons, Mind Crush should be amazing in Dark World Decks, right? I mean even if you guess wrong, you still can setup your GY with the effects of some nasty monsters.

I would've added Cloak and Dagger since you can force your opponent to either waste resources removing C&D or not summoning the called card in the whole duel. And chain it to the opponent activating a fusion card of getting the synchro/XYZ/link materials on the field. HOWEVER, I was told that the resolution trigger starts a chain, so even if you were to call DPE or Baronne, they could chain themselves to avoid or negate their own destruction. Making the card a worse Prohibition.
I would like to see a top 10 about cards that make a archetype something like spyral double helix which is what makes spyral so good or like electromite for most pendulm decks
You should do a top 10 keystone cards list, single individual cards that decks kind of explicitly revolve around (not just boss monsters or cards that happen to be vital playmakers), mentioned explicitly or implicitly in card text. Things like Aleister the Invoker, Bujin Yamato, Iron Core of Koa'ki Meiru, Assault Mode Activate, any given anime protagonist's signature monster, etc.
Honorable mention Engraver of the Mark. Basically if opponent activates card that has card name declaring effect, you discard this card to gy and change the declared name to whatever you want.
How about Top 10: Best/Worst monsters that Special summon themselves from the hand Best/Worst cards with non-targeting, non-destruction removal Accel Synchro monsters (Synchros that use only Synchros as material) Xyz monsters that are only ever ranked up into Strongest Link monsters with terrible arrows Cards that are crippled by a single line of text
I think "Top 10 Engine archetypes that can be splashed into a large variety of decks (Excluding the staples (Think Dragon Rulers, Zoodiacs, Sky Strikers))" would be a cool idea. An example of which would be Lightsworn for milling, Infinitrack for Rank climbing etc.
Sales Ban could also be used to declare Number 86 Rhongomyniad and let your own No86 to not detach a material during your opponent’s end phase, permalocking your opponent similar to the Mystic Mine Sales Ban Lock This is been used in the OCG (mainly Flunder) alongside with the spell card Numbers Evaille to easily make No86 with 4 materials, just enough materials to lock your opponent to do anything (and this is still not enough to make Rhongo banned in the OCG) Could be relevant in MD if No86 is not banned yet and Flunder could be more toxic🤣
Clarifying on Mind Crush: You're still allowed to verify your opponent's hand if you name a card that could be in their hand. You're only not allowed a hand check if all possible copies of the card are in public knowledge (such as being on the forbidden list, or all 3 copies in GY).
This is not true. You can not verify your opponents hand *at all.* Example: Opponents searches Fairy Tale - Luna, you Mind Crush call Fairy Tail - Luna, and your opponent discards the card. Thats it, no hand verifying at all.
@@MsMiDC It's literally one of the only additional rulings given for TCG specifically because you could easily cheat when someone plays Mind Crush if your turn involves any amount of drawing cards. The fact Mind Crush doesn't say you get to view their hand is why the ruling specifies you only get a hand check if your opponent could have the card in their hand, as otherwise it would be unconditional even if your declared card is impossible.
@@engiopdf8745 Konami Tournament Policy clearly states that hand verification is not allowed in the case of Mind Crush or other similar cards. Number 4 section N of the 2.1 Policy Documents clearly states this. Please give me an official source of this ruling you are talking about.
I've been playing pure Sylvans in Master Duel as of late and I don't think I have ever used Alsei's effect against my own cards, forcing your opponent on a top deck setup or just removing their boss monster is so good
Doesn’t sylvan use archfiend’s oath now? Not now but when people go back to play the historical format that sylvan’s were prominent in, recent innovation is that archfiend oath is run in sylvan. At least that’s what I was told. I don’t know if it would change its place in the list at all.
I see a lot of use for Archfiend's Oath like if the stacking the deck before declaring the name of the top card. Or use the effect as an additive miller for decks that use cards in GY as a second handle. The only downside I can see is that it is a slow.
Lullaby was used to call terrortop it could be specialed from hand if they have it to hand, you then summoned your taketomborg to make mx saber invoker to summon your rat.
Something that was used at euros with Carpedivem is play it with Mystic mine, Mine your opponent on their turn, and on your turn you declare mystic mine and you play like normal
As a Dark World player I’m sad he didn’t mention the old Mind Crush strategy in that deck: you play Dragged Down Into The Grave to see your opponents hand and get hand knowledge and discard advantage then activate Mind Crush asap and discard another card from their hand giving you card advantage. Or you can blindly name a card forcing you to discard a card and then you can combo off with that. So either way the card is a win-win
I _love_ the Dragged Down Into the Grave followed by Mind Crush tactic. Funny thing I once told someone Mind Crush was a good counter if you knew what your opponent had in the hand. So my friend went to a tournament and he said he was 75% sure the guy's hand included Mystical Space Typhoon, Lucent, Netherlord of Dark World, Anti Spell Fragrance, Dragged Down Into The Grave, and a fiend. I have no idea how he would know this turn 4 on his 2nd duel when they guy didn't search (early on in the tournament, you see people like my friend who have bad decks, hency why some guy with got to turn 4 without search and didn't get wiped out), but he was right. The other fiend was not a Dark world card. So my friend called... Lucent. If you knew the guy ran MST instead of twin twisters, why didn't you call that? Any advice on how to make a decent Dark World gimmick deck? So I know the Fabled Archetype has effects that are easier to trigger, but I just like Dark World. I'm trying to aim for a Dark World Deck that can make Synchro plays and minimize Fableds except their turners (there aren't too many good fiend tuners). The Gimmick I'm going for is having a 47 card deck that includes 1 Royal Writ of Taxation, 1 Deck Devastation Virus, 1 Ominous Fortunetelling, 1 Ambitious Gofer, 1 Summoned Skull, 3 Dragged Down Into the Grave, and 3 Mind Crush. For the Dark World Monsters I so far have 3 Lucent, Netherlord of Dark World, 3 Snoww, Unlight of Dark World, 3 Broww, Huntsman of Dark World, 1X Grapha, Dragon Lord of Dark World, and 1 Beiige, Vanguard of Dark World. I do't know what tuners to use. Just as the Duel Logs once had the gimmick of life point milling (I hope he makes one this month), I'm going to style here. The three themes I'm going for are Dark World discard and swarm, some Synchro plays, and discarding by Mind Crush. I'm not going for maximum consistency here, but I want to make my deck perform as well as possible under the bloat.
I don't think I've seen many XYZ focused videos, so maybe top 10 xyz monsters to be ranked up on top of others, best monsters of an specific rank or best xyz monsters that use multiple materials at once for an effect. I think there's potential for some interesting videos there
My friend has been hating on Crossout Designator since I drew one out of the Mega Tin 1 year ago, and I have yet to game him with it, but it's bound to happen eventually since he's also running 3 Ash in every deck now. 😂😂
crossout is good in a meta that has a lot of hand traps, but despite that its only a slightly worse called by the grave when getting rid of hand traps. That said called by is limited in the tcg and now semi'd in master duel so crossout is likely to see more use overall.
How about either top sets that had the biggest change in the competitive game or top ten archetypes that changed drastically over the years (either for the better or worse)
Seeing D.D. Designator and Crossout Designator on the same list makes me want Top 10 Cards Which Are References To/Combinations Of Other Cards. In this case, Nobleman of Crossout and D.D. Designator, which features D.D. Warrior Lady in the art. Alternatively, Top 10 Cards with an alternative card that sees/saw infinitely less play, like Nobleman of Crossout/Extermination, or Gladiator Beast War Chariot and Parry/Disarm.
Carpedivem is good, I once play against Dragonmaid and I use Carp to declare Changeover, I won that game easily You can proc it effect easily during your opponents turn using Exosister Arment
If you play Lullaby of Obedience and you declare a monster name your opponent doesn't have in their deck, wouldn't they have to let you search their entire deck to verify that?
tried lullaby of obedience a while ago in master duel worked actually really good since most decks ran ash blossom i think this card could peform well in the current tcg format too if your deck can afford this card you should definitely give it a try
I wonder how good Lullaby of Obedience would be against a Spright mirror match. Side deck it, play it Declaring Spright Blue, then the 1 card combo is always live. 🤔
Suggestion: Top 10 OCG cards that are banned, but not in TCG (but not limit nor semi-limited, and also vice versa for TCG to OCG for 2 videos), and why they haven't banned.
Not sure if a "Top 10 Cards That Can Type/Archetype Lock You" list could even work. Top 10 Rekindling Targets Top 10 Searchers That Only Search One Specific Card Top 10 Odd Eyes Cards Top 10 Best/Worst That Can Miss Timing
I know the OCG is a different beast than the TCG since they have some cards that we don't, but I find it so weird that they have Upstart Goblin at unlimited in the OCG and we still have it at limited here.
I just realized if you wanted to block a card with Crossout Designator and you only played one copy of it because it wasn't center to your strategy (say, it was Nibiru), then drawing that card screws you over. This makes it even less useful than I thought it was since aside from handtraps, it's only useful in mirror matches, but you can't have it in your hand if you want to stop it being used on you. Now if Maxx "C" comes off the banlist, then suddenly Crossout becomes somewhat more appealing.
