@Light Revaan I would say, some people like me who are not as close with Yu-Gi-Oh as they were when they were younger would love to see this kind of list. For exemple, I did not know that Light and Darkness Dragon could not be special summoned before you said it as an exemple.
@@brianaguilar8283 I use him in a Last Turn deck. I have zero problems searching him. I also get it off first turn, every single time. Granted, the deck isn't legal. But that's not the point. I just use the deck for grinding in some of the Yu-Gi-Oh games. Even though, there are plenty of other first turn win decks. I do like to switch things up, every so often.
*Nekroz of Colossus* Level 8 Water Thunder / Ritual / Effect You can Ritual Summon this card with any "Nekroz" Ritual Spell. Must be Ritual Summoned without using any Level 8 monsters. You can only use each of these effects of "Nekroz of Colossus" once per turn. ● (Quick Effect) When a card or effect is activated that would destroy a monster(s) on the field: You can banish 1 "Nekroz" card from your GY and discard this card; negate the activation, and if you do, destroy it. ● If your opponent adds a card(s) from their Deck to their hand (except by drawing or during the Damage Step): You can banish 2 random cards from your opponent's hand.
@@gargravarr2 cool idea. U can dump 2 heralds, 2 Ntyss or one of them each for his summon which is kinda neat👍 Imo the part with the "banish 2 cards from hand" is kinda broken imo. So this monster should be able to banish just 1 card from the hand, field or GY. Otherwise this effect is pretty good
*Me 2 minutes ago:* "Royal Oppression at #3?! There's no way the next two spots beat out that card!" *Me 2 seconds ago:* Saw the Top 2 .... Oh... nevermind...
Video title: Top 10 Cards That Prevent Special Summons. DuelLogs: In this video we'll be going over the top 10 cards that prevent special summons. I'VE HAD IT WITH THIS BLATANT CLICKBAIT, DUELLOGS.
Interesting, I didn’t know that a XYZ monster named after King Arthur’s spear (supposedly) existed. That gave me an idea for a Top 10: Top 10 best monsters based on real life legends and myths. I say monsters because of Noble Arms - Caliburn and the other Noble Arms.
The problem with Last Warrior is that it’s a fusion monster with specific materials that can’t be cheated out. The effect is great, one of the best effects a card can have, but the summoning condition kind of overbalanced the card. Edit: Not sure why I said it couldn’t be cheated out back then.
@shadowdraqon 1) mind control is a good point, though usually negated by sauravis in nekroz. 2) a nekroz deck topped recently with vanities, not with kristya so Ruler has statistically proven more successful 3) you also can't play under kristya so you hit and hit until opponent draws multiple infinite impermenance...vanity first game, then OTK is better. That was a side deck option though in the last nekroz deck. 4) you auto lose to purple magician since even if they can't beat over kristya, after boost, magi pops itself, then pops kristya anyway.
When talking about Barrier Statue of the Stormwinds, I never saw you mention the new Simorgh link, which allows you to summon the Barrier Statue directly from the deck.
@@13thKingMu you mean Sangan (Critter)? Here the list: Gagagigo Warrior Dai Grepher Inpachi Marauding Captain Invader of Darkness Goblin Squad Goblin of Greed Behemoth, King of All Animals Snipe Hunter Tyrant Dragon D.D. Warrior Lady
To correct, iirc Oppression got banned around the time during the Tele-DaD format, where people just make one of those first turn-1 "Break my board", where the field ends with a couple of boss monsters, and a Stardust to protect the Royal Oppression, and then during the opponent standby phase, flip up the royal oppression and lock the board. It is not so much a trick, but rather how power creep made that Oppression that much better.
With Royal Oppression, it wasn't really destroyed or turned off on your turn. Basically people would do all of their plays, set up a good field, and then flip it up on the opponent's turn and that would basically end the game right there.
i made some vanity monster custom card support not long ago and sent it to you on twitter, i really like the vanity monsters it's sad that they dont made into the list, excellent video !
Since traps cards are considered slow for been trap cards and you mention trap cards in a lot of your videos, how about a top 10 most used or useful trap cards?
Carlos Hirujo You mean the ONLY ten trap cards used Infinite Transcience Solemn Strike (I would actually say it's better than judgement cause 1500 is less than half typically and most likely you'll negate a monster) Torrential Tribute (trap rageki not at one) Metaverse (because Terraforming is at one. So is this but wasn't for a while in the tcg) Evenly Matched Heavy Storm Duster (comparable to twin twister in efficiency) Rippling Mirror Force (Storming Mirror Force also could've gone here, but shuffling shit back into the deck is way worse than returning anything to the hand) Fairy Box (the only one you won't see a lot of play on YGOPRO or competitive which is odd as it's a 50/50 chance of making your opponent regret attacking. Its life point cost is negligible. Problem is all those immune to card effects or targeting cucks) Blazing Mirror Force (it's like ring of destruction but doesn't target. Problem is destruction is poo poo pee pee in Yugioh effects as is most everything) Lose 1 Turn (Great in Time lords and i can use it in my gren maju decks too, it can shut down a lot of plays. Problem is it effects you too. Its a great stun though) Ironically players I knew didn't know about a lot of these and we were running a GX sorta RP and they said I should be like a teacher for trap card curriculum which ofcourse is underfunded and you end up with mean Snape sorta teachers lol
This video was so useful. I added a bunch of barrier statue of the heavens to my Galaxy Eyes deck (im a casual player) and I've had a nightmare against burning abyss. The game is much more balanced haha!
I find it hilarious that Artifact Scythe was seen as a relatively weak card back when it were first released before HAT format, yet here we are. NGL though, I do wish Artifacts were more playable as an actual archetype, I’d love to see them get a Field Spell that allowed you to summon/activate their effects on your turn and couldn’t be destroyed at least by Artifact effects.
I played royal oppression from the day it was printed to the day it was banned. Then, Krystia. The good old days of 'draw-go' control are long behind, but I really miss these effects. Jowgen too. Thanks for the memories.
I loved using Releaser back in the day with my Relinquished deck. It was a powerful way to block off special summoning and steal any creature that was possibly summoned before the ritual. Was a fine deck way back when :).
Hello, nice video, I really like your work. I think that Domain of the monarchs could at least receive a honored mention, not only because it's lock the extra deck, but because is easily searchable with the monarch cards. Continue with your great work, you have some viewers in Brazil. Happy new year.
I can proudly say I'm part of that 31.5% since I subscribed when this was a gimmicky deck channel ^^ Number 86 felt like the big boss until someone brought Xyz Encore to the mansion
Top 10 cards that discard from your opponents hand. Robbin goblin, thestalos the firestorm monarch, lightforce sword, mind crush, trap dustshoot, delinquent duo, the forceful sentry, drop off,
Surprised domain or vanity's fiend didn't make their way on here considering I feel like they have seen more competitive play than something like the barrier statues.
The fucking Djinn lock was so infuriating when I dabbled around on some duel site in 2015 (forget the name, but I’m sure Konami forced them to take it down so they could make Duel Links) If you didn’t get rid of it like the first turn Nekros went plus +12 the following turn and destroyed you. If I were to ever pick Yu-Gi-Oh back up again I would main Nekros just for the “Neo-Nostalgia” I have for the 20 minute turns due to how much search power the deck had when it was released.
Ordering each monster level from 1 through 12 for the best support. For example, lvl 10 has train support and Mound of the Bound Creator, level one has Linkuriboh and One for One, etc. i think that would be a cool video
i mean the generic xyz extra deck toolbox should be included as part of the "support" there. i mean it is not "support" in the traditional sense, but it surely is an important factor when evaluating the power of a specific level.
I actually used Djinn with Trishula. I don't remember what the other combo piece was, probably Clausolas, but it was pretty close to a win condition back then
I would have put in shiens advisor since you can choose one type (dragon, spellcaster, etc) and lock them out of attack and special summoning but not normal summoning and he’s rather vulnerable as well, not much protection on his own. But pretty decent for his effect.
If they banned a lot of the prevent special summon cards, then even something that limits special summons to Once Per Turn will get banned because it locks out everything but Link 1's and Tribute Summons and hand/Deck Fusion Summons
Huh... only 31.5% are subscribed That’s up from the last time. I remember you saying only 26%. Oh well I’m already subscribed with the bell. Waiting for both these top tens and gimmick decks. That dragon maid one was worth the wait.
I thought your number one spot was a great choice and I'd summon it easy using Marauding Captain and Valkyrian Knight then activate Ties of the Brethren then target Valkyrian and pay 2000 to special summon Command Knight and Blue Flaming Swordsman from the deck then set Breakthrough Skill, magic Drain then activate foolish burial to send Laval Golem to the grave to give myself some defense should Swordsman go to the grave early or go with a little bit more risk and activate Moon Mirror Shield and equip it to Swordsman to re-set his attack to his original standards and spam his effect to power up my monsters till I got Ryno later on.
Djinn hurt me when it got ban I used to run a relinquished deck at that time and having a lot of success at my locals when all the other cards came out and it got banned.
I need a Barrier Statue of the Heavens because I run Cyber Dragon’s as one of my main decks and my friend uses the Zombie Horde deck which is basically all Dark monsters. And those who know Cyber Dragons know they are mainly Light
Not even a mention of Tetsudo erat Numen nor it's worse cousin, Numen erat Tetsudo? (Meaning The Turtle is God and God is the Turtle), both aqua monsters with trifling stats but great lockout effects. Especially when used with Aquarium magic cards and sea stealth attack. It's a rather mean lil thing. Though I enjoy equipping it with moon mirror shield just as often, more often the bait of leaving it vulnerable to effect destruction is just enough incentive to make people forget about things like My Body as a Shield. Definitely not a threat but so much fun nevertheless ~
“Is there a card that can prevent special summons but only for your opponent?” *Pulls out three card albums* “Any cards that are actually good?” *Down to one album* “How about a non banned card?” *Single card sleeve*
I would put Amorphage Sloth or Goliath instead of Barrier Statue if Artifact Scythe is on the list because they stop extra deck summons. They're cheated out with Hiertic Seal of Heavenly Spheres in competetive versions of Blue Eyes and Thunder Guardragon.
domain of the monarchs would be a good cart on here as long as you have a tribute summon monster your opponent can I special summon from the extra Deck
@@steveweigner6941 Debateable. I feel like Snake Rain limits design harder. Who knows though, Rekindling might see some shenanigans in April with the extra deck restrictions lifted.
1) Mayakashi's weakest monsters (once you give one of them to your opponent) prevent any Special Summon from the Extra Deck, except "Mayakashi" monsters. Same thing with the "Impcantation" weakest monsters. 2) Materiactor Gigadra: prevents ANY Special Summon from the Extra Deck, except XYZ summon. Again, it has to be on your opponent's field.
This may be dumb to some people but how would a Kaiju work for cards like jowgen. Would it still work cuz it tributes the monster first, then summoned or would it just cancel it entirely.
