As an educator, one thing that makes me cringe is when people are not providing accurate information when trying to teach others. Antigua and Barbuda is not a republic. In the Caribbean, there are four (4) republics: Guyana, Trinidad and Tobago, Dominica, and most recently, Barbados. Republics have their president as the head of state. Antigua has a governor general in the name of Sir. Rodney Williams, who represents the head of state, Queen Elizabeth II.

strictly speaking Guyana is not part of the Caribbean. It is a member of CARICOM and maintain very close relationship with English speaking Caribbean. It is in South America
