So, I used to have a dog named Sapphire who was best friends with my cat, Belle. Belle is cold and uncaring around all my other pets (she's very sweet around me, though). However, when we still had Sapphy, she would always make sure Belle was doing okay and pretty much protected her from the other animals. When we got 2 new puppies, Belle hid under my bed and Sapphy stood guard for her. And Belle really loved Sapphire, and would sometimes play with her. Sadly, we had to give Sapphire away, and Belle really does miss her. They were friendship goals tbh
dude i saw that too. i also saw my cat eat her dead baby and was more proud of her then i ever could be of any woman running around having sex and killing their baby while it is still alive. it is now a fucked up wonderful world.
My husband always hated cats. Mostly because his dad did. He hadn't actually spent much time around them. Then our cat came to us. He was a stray. My husband picked him up and he started purring and from then on and still now, our cat has been our baby, the most chill, mellow, affectionate cat ever.
We rescued our first golden retriever in the spring of 1998. Later that year, near Christmas, we got our kitten. After about 2 weeks, she became very attached to him. The two were lifetime buddies. When we put him down in 2008, she was lost and wandered for days looking for him. Her heart was truly broken. We rescued our second and third goldens in 2009 and 2010, it took her a while to get used to them, but she became very attached to them too. We finally put her down in 2016 when she was 18, but she lived a happy and peaceful life with her dog friends.
Toxic masculinity, to some extent. It would be seen as "weird" if guys in America were this touchy with each other. Women do it more, but adults in general are expected not to touch one another outside the confines of specific activity (e.g., sport).
