Lmao when is your channel going to die out watchmojo? How long are you planning to continue like this? It's a real shame that a decent youtube channel like yours turned into a money hungry company
It shocks me to see how many people still don’t give credit to Daft Punk. I was so happy to see them win the Album of the year award, but all everyone talked about was how Taylor lost. Daft punk’s music did what music is supposed to do, to make people of all cultures groove.
EXACTLY!! And the world is SICK OF these "flash in the pan" "15 minutes of fame" artists that NO ONE will remember in 30 years from now. I had Daft Punk's guest album in high school -- LOVED IT, And they're still going 👍👍👍
@Ian Gordon I'm talking about her legacy. Everybody will remember the Beatles, Elvis, Michael Jackson. My point..,30 years from now (MUSICALLY) you won't remember Taylor's music THAT'S IT.
ODB was just as iconic it was a big deal then back when ppl actually watched award shows it just didn't happen in the era of social media@@gobblinnma6069
Ugh. This kind of thing is never okay. Losing is a part of life. Don't pull a face, or make some exclamation, or storm the stage. That just shows an attitude of entitlement and a lack of class. Just be gracious and work harder to win.
Making a face or saying something like "what?!" under your breath is understandable. Doing something like climbing on stage to steal the winner's moment is not okay.
Since when did the Grammys know about music? Aren't we talking about the same institution that gave the then new Best Heavy Metal album to Jethro Tull instead of Metallica? Rage Against The Machine are now Raging For The Machine.
And #10 . A "scripted talent show American Idol winning over Faith Hill. May a foundry fan myself, nut it's SAD that music awards can be influenced by GARBAGE UNREALITY SCRIPTED TV SHOWS!!
There's a way to let people know you're upset you lost without throwing shade at somebody else, just saying.... Not talking about faith though, that she was obviously joking
@Jonathan Lamare That song has played in countless clubs all over the world countless times no one has come out the gate like 50 cent did the grammy's lost respect for not acknowledging 50cent's rise and you're putting yourself in the same boat confusing your personal choice with what majority of the world was feeling at the time and even to this day
@Jonathan Lamare Thats what you call beef Ja Rule should be happy someone actually brought that many tickets last time I seen him he was working at a takeaway 50 also owns some of Ja's masters... I never said Evenescence was bad but they def weren't the hottest new artists and they def weren't as big as what 50 was in his debut year your lying to yourself
@Jonathan Lamare Dont discredit a true artist. If im being honestly he at least is still successful to this day. While no one knows where Evanescence is. And I honestly never heard many people talk about that band 🤷♀
I'm not a fan of Taylor at all, but her being #1 is ridiculous. I don't think her and her team gasped because they lost, I think they actually thought Alicia Keys was going to say Red instead of Random which both start with R, she did take the loss well though.
Yeah Evanescence definitely deserved that. They were as big as Linkin Park in the early 2000’s. If you ask anyone to explain how was the early 2000’s were they would say chilling playing the PS2, watching dragon ball z, and listening to linkin park and evanescence. 50 cent is a great artist, but barely anyone ever mentions him when talking about early 2000’s
Evanescence was NOT as big as Linkin Park. Everyone knew Linkin Park and System of a Down and 50 cent. Rap and rock we’re crossing over into the Alternative genre. Evanescence had great music but MTV was playing Linkin Park and 50 wayyyyy more.
50 Cent was apart of G-Unit and everyone mentioned them. I think a couple of members were in games and had music I think in car games. Evanescence is vreat but I believe tgey were infamous as tge internet was changing and ppl used it more for mocking the goth scene in the 2000s than crediting Amy and her vocals. Also, if you haven't check out her singing with Waggaki Band if you like Japanese bands. Thought it was a sweet and cool moment.
According to Wikipedia, Evanescence had 17 million album sales worldwide (8 million US) with her Fallen album with a 1.8 peak chart position average rating among 10 tracked countries compared to 50 Cent 12 million worldwide sales (9 million US) and average 3.8 peak chart position average.
I don’t care if Taylor Swifts reflection of that night was sincere or the result of a meticulously crafted presentation; that was a fantastic way to handle a loss Not making a fuss about the winner not being worthy/not as good as you, but rather “ok, I thought I’d done something amazing, but where can I do better” Which sounds bad, since an award loss shouldn’t be taken as a sign that one’s work wasn’t good/great/fantastic, but that’s music awards for you. It’s all subjective
Metallica should've won the best Hard Rock/Heavy Metal Grammy Award, instead of Jethro Tull in 1989. Whoever nominated Jethro Tull in that same Metal category made a HUGE mistake. Jethro Tull are a Progressive Rock band, not a Heavy Metal band. But some of their songs are Hard Rock.
As a fan of both bands I can say that the Tull probably should have won. While the songs on Justice are amazing the production of the album is just so bad it didn't deserve to win best of anything. Probably the fault of Lars taking the original production and f-ing it up so bad that the drums sound incredibly tinny and the Bass guitar is so low as to be inaudible. Production on Black album is amazing and they deserved to win that time.
Taylor swift was told by almost everyone that she was the shoe in to win aoty year so she was shocked when she lost but she also used it as a learning experience.
Damn I thought FOR SURE they were gonna throw the awkward award show scene from “Zoolander” in here somewhere. I know it was an award show in a movie so it obviously wouldn’t get a spot on the list. The clip would have been PERFECT to put in somewhere though. Hell they could have used it for #1 because it’s similar to what happened. Taylor Swift and her team thought for a split second they had won but they caught it before it got too embarrassing!
I definitely agree with Kanye in 2009 tho. Beyonce released Single Ladies, Hallow, Girls, and lost over Taylor Shift. As for 2014, RAM was the album of the year. Daft Punk vs TSwift. Daft Punk are gods
I just wanna say how absolutely disrespectful it was to say Old Dirty Bastard pulled a "Kanye West". You understand ODB did that some TWELVE YEARS EARLIER YES? it sky rocketed his career. The people loved him for it. A decade later when kanye tried it, it damn near costed him his career ...
Green book was the better movie overall. I like Blackkklansmen but I honestly got bored with the movie about 45 minutes in. Still a good movie but Green Book's acting was top tier. Carrie winning over Faith and her reaction was priceless
@@LaurenKaminski yup - a joke making fun of her joke. Sorry if you love Carrie but it’s not a secret that she is a terrible person who despises her fans.
Random Access Memories is literally one of the best music albums in history. It influenced the Duo’s genre 😂 Taylor is a great artist, but she was going up against Daft Punk’s best work.
@@ichliebefuball5987 RAM is good but Taylor now have far better albums. Red was a great album too. I have searched about RAM, it deserved it's win though.
I am torn over the 50 Cent moment. On one hand, I agree that black (latinx, asian, etc) artists are consistently overlooked when it comes to awards shows in favor of white artists. And I do remember In Da Club being everywhere in the early aughts. I am personally a big fan of Evanescence, though, and have been listening to their music for two decades now. Meanwhile (again, personally and speaking only for myself), I can't name a single 50 Cent single other than In Da Club or think of I song I have heard from him since approximately 03-04. So, for me, Evanescence won and justified their award as best new artist.
7:24 That look😒Last clip Daft Punk was underrated , also, performed one of the best live Grammy Performances that year, "Get Lucky. "🥰🤜🤛🔥☄🎖🏆🏅🥇 SO BEYOND PHENOMENAL!
If you're making art for the sake of awards then you're bound to be disappointed. That's not the right motivation to have. You'd probably be better off doing something else if that's the reason you're doing it.
The best momment had to be Simon Cowell lost to david Walliams at the NTA awards and simon express his loss. Yesh i was laughed and mad at the same time.
