Fun fact: the Shi'ar Imperial Guard are analogs to DC's Legion of SuperHeros. (Each one is based one of those characters with Gladiator being Superboy. Real name Kallark is a mix of Kal-El and Clark Kent. The Superman character was partially based on the novel Gladiator by William Wylie so that is where the name Gladiator came from.
@@KkevrockK but it's true. Claremont and Cockrum created them based off the DC characters. That's not wiki that's just basic comic knowledge. Him bringing up Marvel's version of Superman made me think of that and laugh. Also Marvel wanted to do JLA vs Avengers so created the Squadron Supreme. Then they wanted to do a Superman style of forgotten golden age superhero but with a darker twist... so they did the Sentry.
