You might notice a tiny audio glitch during our Disney Illusion Island segment. Seems it was a post upload glitch on RU-vid’s end- apologies we didn’t catch it 🙏
I like a lot of these mentions as well, but I truly feel like roboquest should be not only top 10 but probably a lot higher. Other than only supporting 2 players, I feel like it's probably the most complete roguelike games with really good systems and tons of hidden content as well. Let alone the controls and movement just feels like a different level to a lot of the indie games.
Roboquest was definitely one of those “if I had more time” kind of games for us this year. It looks awesome and we’ve heard a ton of great things about it in our comments!
Me trying to convince my gf that even tho we haven’t finished illusion island, super Mario bros wonder or baldurs gates 3 we should still buy Endless Dungeon and play it too
For me wild hearts copying the fortnite build thing just completely turned me off. It didn't really look like it offered anything new that I couldn't just get from monster hunter.
Ah yes, Diablo 4, the game that was born from D3's console port success which got a local coop mode that never got backported to D3, only for Blizzard to develop D4 from the ground up with local coop in mind and then decide to not include it in D4 PC at all, AGAIN, and sell it at full price anyway. Definitely deserves a spot on a coop toplist, right? NO. Fuck D4.
Oh get over it. It has online coop and that's fine. The game is fun on co-op. Most games don't have local co-op you're not owed it and every game can change during the development process.
Please pay more attention to games that does not involve shooting and killing ,, there are alot of coop games which are fun,, I play them with my son,,😊
@@Slurpee204 You can check the trailer or gameplay of the below,, I like the all : - Ben 10: Power Trip - Figment 2: Creed Valley - It Takes Two - knack 2 - All lego games - PAW Patrol World - pode - The Adventure Pals - rayman legends - Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder's Revenge - The Swords of Ditto
Endless Dungeon is the single worst game i've ever purchased on any system. Maybe it would be better if I could find a coop friend but they don't exist on ps5.
D4? The core is shit. The classes are not fun. Especially druid, who I mained. It's so clunky and slow. Last Epoch does D4 much better. Remnant 2 gotta be the best COOP of 2023 though. (Purely opinion wise.)
Solid work as always sirs. Couldn't agree more with that top slot pick. I'd have put Sons of the Forest higher myself, but I also can't speak to a lot of the games here in co-op, so it's a moot point really.
We debated the placement of Sons Of The Forest a lot actually so not a moot point at all!! Glad you liked the video, thanks for all the support this year!!

Yes we do talk about that some in our full review. There were a lot of early reviews that disliked how the game did shared progression which was remedied very shortly after launch. There’s also a group that feels like it doesn’t live up to previous titles and we can’t really speak to that as this is our first in the series. Genuinely loved our experience and thought it was one of the best co-op titles of last year!
I have to chuckle a bit every time someone says 2023 was a great year in gaming. Maybe it was. But when I think back on this year all I remember is the year kicking off with Forspoken being absolutely unbearable, SW Jedi: Survivor having unplayable performance issues, Immortal of Aveum being a total joke, every other PC Port absolutely sucking. Then you have BG3 absolutely popping off, Cyberpunk 2077 completing its redemption ark, and games like BattleBit and last-minute wins like The Finals (or so I hear). Such a roller coaster of a year, but Forspoken really set the tone for the start of the year imo. Not sure I can say I'm on team "2023 was eggselent 🥚."
I did buy patch quest based on your recommendation and am enjoying it! Also proud of you for not jumping on the Diablo IV hate train and recognizing how good of a co-op game it is
I really enjoy D4 I've found way more fun builds than I have on previous games and the story and atmosphere are great. The end game is no more repetitive and bland than the other ones.
Gabe’s loving the Finals too actually!! We’d consider The Finals more of a competitive multiplayer title rather then a pure co-op game. On rare occasions we will do a review for a title like that though, like MultiVersus or Apex Legends we’ve covered in the past. So idk maybe we do a Finals review in 2024 👀
I was interested in Endless Dungeons after seeing your video but Steam reviews aren't great for it. Do you guys think all the negative reviews have merit?
We think a lot of players reacted really negatively to how you previously couldn’t unlock characters while playing in the hosts world at launch. Rightfully so, but the team quickly fixed that. Other than that I think some diehard fans of the franchise were expecting this to be more of a spiritual successor/sequel to Dungeon Of The Endless and this is not that. So idk, maybe that accounts for some the negative reviews. Other than that, I don’t think we’d agree with any severe criticism of the gameplay as a whole.
I don’t think we’ll have time for it but if we were to do it would likely include: Wartales, For The King 2, WoLong: Fallen Dynasty, The Outlast Trials, and probably Pizza Possum haha
Thanks guys for another great year of content. I use co-op games to keep in touch with good friends who live several thousands of miles away from me, and we've had some great times playing games you've recommended. Can't wait to see what you guys do in 2024.
Need to check out Mario coop for sure. Have you tried Darktide since the big update in November. Hands down best coop game for me in ages. Totally surprised how good it is now
We haven’t actually!! We really wanted to, so many games to play this year haha I think we’re hoping for a big expansion to jump back in and do a definitive review.
@@TheCoOpBrosit really is something special now . Wasn’t that good at launch. Came back to play a month ago and can’t put it down. Total overhaul a month or so ago. Love your content. Only play coop games so your channel is great
I’ve played both and still think Vermintide 2 is superior, although both are godly. Darktide just feels more… “hollow” compared to all the lore and banter in VT2. I also prefer the emphasis on melee gameplay from VT. Both games are top tier horde shooters 💯
We did play WoLong actually, didn’t have a chance to finish it however. It was a really good game! It might’ve had a chance to make it on the list. I think this year there were a lot of unique experiences within the co-op genre that it was hard not to prioritize games that we’re doing something new versus games that were great but maybe we’ve seen it before i.e other soulslikes/Nioh Great call out though, glad you liked WoLong too!!
