I think I speak for all of us 30,200+ subscribers when I say thank you for your insight. As a relatively new collector of comics who was only able to casually read them as a kid growing up in rural south Georgia, I appreciate you sharing any “secrets” or gut feelings you have on these books. I watch your channel routinely to further my knowledge of this new hobby I am growing to love more and more. I won’t be killing myself to go out and find these, but will definitely be on the lookout for these when I find them. Again, thank you, James, for helping this particular community grow and be enjoyable.
If anyone can pull off bringing Mongul to the big screen it's Gunn. That back is very underappreciated. One book I feel should be on the list that is never mentioned is Adventures of Superman 424, 1st app of Cat Grant and Samuel Lane.
Maybe this is more a fun fact than a cheap investment is Aquaman issue 57 from 1977. Issue 56 came out in 1970. Which means 57 took 7yrs. To finally follow 56. So 56 sounds like the last issue but instead of starting with a new number one DC decided to continue the original numbering. Cool Fun Fact. How about a Capt. Carrot figure for that info.😮
I also wondered why those MoTU previews stayed so stagnate -- the Wonder Woman also has a Kaluta cover, too. Actually WW back issues in general can command higher prices though still can be found for bargains.
Zines!! I think zines will make a big splash in 2024. Here in Seattle, we have 2 annual zine festivals (Short Run & Hot Off The Press) and they attract 1,000's of attendees.
Your video helped me sell DC presents #27 9.4 at $140. It was sitting around for like half a year, lol. Maybe I should have bumped it up a few more bucks after your vid came out.
I’ve been looking for a copy of Nightwing 93 for so long😭. I don’t dive much into spec books but I think basically any character that goes up on the big screen is bound to have their keys fluctuate in price.
Like your content. Have you ever heard of comics that get reprinted with serial numbers. I ran across some when I was thrifting. Are they a thing? One of them is from a comic Strange Terrors No. 6 1/53. They are printed in color looks like they photo copied the entire book.
I think the Wolverine x Deadpool books will be the same as Deadpool x Cable was for Part 2....People would be wiser to wait until 6 months after the movie drops.
I hope someone could answer this. Why did the new Ultimate Spider-Man #1 value jump up so high? It's about a month old and the sales range from 50-100. And will it stay going up?
You think season 3 of Invincible will cover events in issue 110? Really? We haven't even gotten Conquest or the Viltrumite War yet. They're nowhere near that far along in the series.
I was happy for the clean slate x-men restart….but then they gave Tom Brevoort his demotion to fail up to head creator of X-Men(?) so I was sad again. Not too mention he’s already berated fans…now I’m very sad. Lol :( #ComicDrama
The most recent Superman War world storyline was awesome. I think Gunn could do him justice, but I suspect that might be a little ways out. Wasn't Mongal in The Suicide Squad?
@@aaronjjacques not as the main villain. Mongal, the female Mongul, was in the initial Squad that got smoked in the opening of the movie. I went and checked after.
To me previews don't count. It's like collecting screenshots of IMDB pages of movies in the works. We all know how that has been going. Movie studios are finally realizing they can fail even if movies suck.
The latest spiderverse movie is pushed back to next year, but its never too late to spec on spiderverse related books. SPOT is supposely taking on a bigger/darker role. Spectacular 98/99 are affordable again. Spiderman 12 (2017) miles and gwen kissing on cover is another good one.
