@@helpthisgeneration1879 Any type of liquid COULD evaporate BASED on the temperature of the surroundings. So if its cold enough to freeze smth, holy water could turn into ice while if the temperature is warm enough to melt an object, holy water could evaporate.

The actual reason people die after finding a mummy or a body in a vacum space, is because the air of the body rotting has filled the space in all those years, and it is extremely poisinous. This is the real reason, but I guess a curse on top of it, could make things worse...

second one with ötzi is really easy to explain. when they found him in the glacier, there were a lot of bacteria and other stuff that was just asleep in the ice. the people that had contact with the mummy got infected and the bodies didnt know how to deal with this old bacterias, maybe viruses. so they died.

For the Annabelle doll story, the first medium they contacted was influenced by the doll to say it was harmless and just wanting to play with them. we actually learned about Otzi the Iceman in history class, and the story is actually very interesting! we didn't learn about all of this cursed stuff, but Otzi helped scientists uncover much history from the stone, and bronze age. :)

The Annabelle doll wasn’t actually possessed but used by another deviant being. The warrens did a great documentary and explained a lot about he doll and other artifacts. I have a friend that personally met them and actually worked a case with them back in the day.

The Iceman "Ötzi" died through several arrows. He also had "fresh" cut marks from hours before his death. Most outstanding was his metal axe. Historically he should not have that. Also his murders did not take it. Imagine what it was worth in those times. Maybe Ötzi was a important person of his time. His body was covered with tattoos which were used as magical spells.

They wore bracelets on the dolls hand and stuffs like that. They treated the doll as if it were a human child until things were getting weird.

Can confirm about the Hope Diamond. It cursed my friends Jack & Rose. They were on the Titanic, with the Diamond, when it sank. It’s was actually Rose’s. Jack ended up dying , while Rose barely survived, because she refused to share her floating piece of wood with Jack.

I have an attic full of creepy items from the early 1900s. One box contains an original raggedy Andy Doll and whats horrifying about it is that the doll has a small burlap bag placed over it's head. Also in this box is a doll of Raggedy Andy's nanny Beloved Belindy, smiling out at whoever opens the box. Another box contains a 3 foot tall porcelain doll of a fancy dressed man. The doll is placed in this box lovingly, but it's face is shattered. I stopped exploring my attic after opening a trunk and finding a bloody quilt that smells like death. My house is quite haunted.

In our culture it's a wide and well practiced belief to not take items from places from which they belong. Been told by my great-grandmother to not touch things that didn't belong to me or break things (tree branches etc) because that's not my mob/place. It's really about respect but that also ties into the our understanding that the land is a spiritual being meant to be looked after and cared for. That's how I grew up anyway.

I thought the doll Robert was given to the boy by his mothers servant, who was not treated good so she performed dark magic in the attic. The mother caught her doing this. So the servant gave the doll to the boy as a going away gift. Now I’m just confused.

On the subject of dolls.... historically they WERE NOT toys for children or anyone else to play with. Dolls literally came into being as vessels for spirits. They were originally used to give the spirit of a person upon their departure a residence, if you will. It's debated as to whether the spirit was trapped in the doll or if the doll was offered as a place of embodiment but either way how the hell did anyone ever think they would make good toys?!?!
