I think Russian don't use brahmos because they have P-800oniks and 3M54 KALIBR which have similar capabilities. So it doesn't make sense of using brahmos and they have even built hypersonic missile that much better than brahmos until brahmos mk2.

Concern is how much time do you have, make a decision particularly there are multiple missile, and how to deploy your ships and weapon systems. There are many anti-missile system and gatlin guns out there for selection, problem is reaction time, defensive option, then shoot.

All defense options are chosen in case of imminent threat based on threat level. An AAA gun wouldn't be of much help against a hypersonic missile. An anti-missile defense system won't be of much use against a boat! It's also threat levels based on which suitable systems react automatically!
