The comics were fascinating for... I don't know... a few chapters/issues but after some time it was just gratuitous violence. It felt like: "Yeah Garth, we get it: you don't like superhero-comics"
Did anyone else get confused when Gen V revealed Indira lost her husband and daughter on the plane but The Boys shows a mother and daughter when Maeve tried to get Homelander to at least take the little girl?
We need another character to play their version of Doctor Strange Iron Man and ghost Rider oh yeah, and a green lantern or maybe their Thanos 😂 no for real I’m serious
Homelander and Newman are probably the only characters the show improved on, other then that the comic sounds much better. All the new characters in Gen V were boring and while had some cool scene it ripoffed the XMen so hard by the end
theoretically if andre didnt have the same mental problem as his father he would be better than magneto cause andre can manipulate medals structure to his imagination like how victoria has blood manipulation and can use her powers to her imagination
Debatable. If you can control blood, you don't need to break anything to kill someone. Simply controlling flow in a major artery or brain is enough to incapacitate someone, even if there is no internal bleeding. Not to mention that, by controlling blood, you control people's muscles.
Why are gingers always black washed when it comes to life action? Or not even ginger at all, but they are ginger in the comics??? Why do they hate gingers so much?
Is it just me? Or is this television adaptation trying to build up elements from those disturbing what if comic books of Marvel Zombies and DCeased? Either way, that would still be an influential idea.
So funny how much this guy has to dance around how dark the comic actually is in this video so it doesn't get flagged by RU-vid Lmao. I honestly can't watch the show and when I tried I was just so disappointed. I remember when it first came out and everyone was pissing themselves saying the show was so edgy and really pushes the boundaries of what you can show on TV. I think this is utter bullshit cus the comic is truly and utterly shocking, horrifying and disgusting at times and no TV show was ever really gonna get permission to do a truly accurate version of the comic. I think the reality is that the TV show is actually annoyingly Hollywood and really insulting to the image of the comic in my opinion. I don't have anything wrong with people who like the show I'm just so sick of everyone saying they don't see how the show could be bad without ever reading the comics. If you have a strong stomach and can handle some actually dark concepts I would really recommend the comics. Also spoilers: Professor Godolken is a pedophile in the comics and has been stealing children and raising and assaulting them in a multi generation long pedophila ring and in the comic the president of America was chosen because he was special needs and Vought liked that they could completely control him because of that. Just for anyone who was wondering why they kept dancing around these subjects in this video
Is the plot in the comics similar to the plot of the tv show? Like cate snapped and Marie and the rest of the group went against Kate to help the professors and vought
When i read the comic's, i was so traumatized by what i witnessed. i had to take breaks in between readings, but this show was just hella boring. I prefer the comics better
