I remember as Alliance.. The quests for Blackfathom Deep were in Darnasus, Darkshore, and Ironforge. The quests for the Sunken Temple were in Un'Goro crater, Tanaris, and Ferelas...and possibly one other place I forgot about.
@@supersebbe0414 First question, are you wearing it? Secondly, do you just have it in your "available tabards" from another character? You may need to be friendly with the Ramkahen and purchase it from them for it to actually work.
To add to this in case people don't know and come along - if you do VP you can hurl yourself off the side at any time and be sent back to the entrance. SC should have a teleport thing you can stand on to go back IIRC. They're both low drop rate [I've seen the one in SC never the one in VP during Cata's lifespan] but if you're looking to grind away for rep, might as well try for a few more. HC ZA has the timed run to get the bear - not a 100% drop but has a high drop rate so if worse comes to worse it will only take a couple tries. HC ZG has two much lower drop rate ones from two bosses. Decide if you like the models because it may take a while. If you want to multi-task on Cata crap and want guaranteed ones: Put on the tabard from the Ramkahen, flip on heroic mode and do the achieves for the meta which grants a mount and swing by TB for the daily slog which will grant you another drake if you get it to exalted and don't buy extra crap. There is also a land mount. If you are really into dailies, the daily zone for FL in Mount Hyjal [Molten Front] will also open up and award you a mount once you slog through and unlock all the areas.
Avantime 2 weeks, I woke up every day at reset on 2 toons back then :( now mounts are all account wide lol *netherwings must have gone extinct... no eggs left lol*
Same, I played through TBC and WotLK. Came back for Legion, though. Legion was amazing. Best gear and weapon art of any expansion. I started BFA 2 months ago. Gear is so easy to get. They made catch-up real easy. You can get up to current raids less than 2 weeks after hitting level cap.
He said sometime after Wotlk. Meaning during Cataclysms trash, That's when I quit too at least until the last couple months coming back at the end of BFA like a moron
A great walkthrough. When I found out they were changing the wintersaber mount to the 20 day grind i quickly did the old version of a repeatable quest and did it in a day or 2.
Good tip for using high level characters on low level quests that you need to weaken mobs without killing them, buy a toy foam sword and use it to hit the mobs. It won't kill them and you don't have to worry about using an alt.
The Venom Hide Raptor you can easly get, if you have the "Soft Foam Sword" since it hits the target and least the target at 10%... i did that on my main, at max level, toke like 30min or something like that, since i had to "kill" more.
3:04 when fishing for the fish for the darkmoon darkwater skate, I fished up the sea turtle :) It really didn't take me that long to get all the fish. I did it in less than a week and got the sea turtle on my 2nd day and I didn't fish it out of a fishing pool either.
lol "most people don't have characters at a bunch of random levels" me: has a character of every class about 10 lvls apart each cause i toon hop so much XD
Pro tip for the Isle of Giants egg mounts, they’re unique, so as long as you don’t learn them, you’ll always get one you don’t have. At least that’s how it worked a couple of years ago when I did it.
Worth mentioning- on the boat near the isle of giants, a boss spawns every hour or so. When you kill him, he drops tokens that give you thousands of rep with various Pandaria factions. It makes those rep grinds a lot faster, and I believe they all have mounts. So if your going for the primal raptor mounts, you may also want to stop by him. There are generally people waiting for him to spawn, though, so if you just show up, he probably won’t be there.
I love mounts. One of the few reasons I regret quitting wow is all my mount drops I lost. RIP, fiery warhorse, raven lord, onyxian drake, drake of the north wind, blue proto. I miss you guys
OMG. NETHERWING.......That was a slog and I did it on 6 characters back when it was current content, plus I helped several guildies. Almost as bad a memory as running the Windsor quest over a hundred times to help everyone get their attunement.
The cloud serpent grind can be really easy if you get on really early in the day and farm the rep eggs (4-6 am eastern time is around when I did it). If you also head to the timeless isle you can even get eggs from the red cloud serpents, but people are usually farming that area for the emperor rep.
i was looking for this comment. just spent two and a half hours in it, decided to go to bed, and realized too late that it reset my progress :^) quitting wow, hiring a lawyer, starting a recovery group--
I was one of the lucky ones I think to get it in a little bit under 2 hours and I couldn't play WoW for almost two weeks after that because I legit had nightmares of me still running through that labyrinth but yeah definitely one of the easiest mounts :D
didn't read all the comments, so I don't know if someone already mentioned this, But re the venonhide ravasaur, what I would suggest if you out lvl the mobs by a lot is unequip all your gear and just punch them. this is what many of us did back when this mount first became available (and this btw, was rather an interesting thing to do on a PVP realm lol)
The Venomhide Ravasaur introductory is easy if you managed to get the Toy Sword, just use that and swing it as many times as possible on the Ravasaurs to get poisoned without worrying about One-Shotting em to death.
"I have an addon that basically just pointed me to exactly where I needed to go for all the scrolls to be clicked on, but this option really isn't available for the normal player" Huh?
Oops, forgot to explain that in the video. Its a paid "guide" addon. The addon is legal and you can probably see it on screen in the video, I just explained how to do it without using a paid option, which isnt an option for the average player.
Just search "Lorewalkers" on Curse/Twitch addons and use any one that pops up. I'd suggest a HandyNotes one, but that would require the HandyNotes base addon. (Which is free)
Bringing up the Winterspring Frostsaber always makes me flinch. I grinded the rep back in the day to earn mine and it legit made me feel like Blizzard was trying to punish me for wanting a pretty kitty. Now it's easy.
A couple of really easy mounts to get from Outland are the dark war talbuk and the dark riding talbuk, by running the Mysteries of Lok-rath mission in your garrison for the Halaa research and battle tokens. You'll only need to run the mission a couple of times to get the tokens needed for the mounts and then make sure your faction has control of Halaa. Before you'd have to collect Oshu'gun Crystal Powder Samples to turn in for the research tokens and fight in PvP around Halaa for the battle tokens.
I noticed a lot of vets not using shift click to pick up all loot at once instead of individually. Try it. Just thought I would try and save time for people like you did for us. Good video.
FYI, the horde version for the raptor/winter spring cub, to hit a mob not kill it to get hit 20 or whatever times. Easy to do with max level char if can whack a mole a mob and Want to play with mobs attack them and not accidentally 1 shot them use the toy -soft foam sword, no level req so swing away at max level with it. It triggers the attack effect but does zero damage, just make sure if max level none of your gear has some additive damage or reflection defense mods on to kill them.
There's a ton of Pandaria mounts that are easy to get in quick succession, if you're willing to tour around the entire continent of Pandaria a few times. There's these rarespawn trolls that sometimes, rarely, drop direhorn mounts? They also drop rep tokens for other pandaria factions. Good ones. Just fly the circle or park alts in the spawn locations (since they're not bind on pickup... I think they're bind on account) and grab the tokens. If you're not fighting other people for the trolls, and you can get to exalted with most of the Pandaria reputations super SUPER quickly, I did it in a week and a half of casual play, (and some reps I hadn't even done the intro quests for). And if you're flying in the circle you can check for obsidian eggs for the cloud serpent mounts while you're at it. The timers are very similar. It kinda depends on how many other people are doing it. I didn't run into too many other people, and the couple I did I was more persistent than. And if you want all of those direhorn mounts there's no reason not to do this. (I got the white one!)
First time watching your content. Found it cool we run the same 1h+shield transmog on our pallys :) Thanks for the rundown on collecting mounts, info is much appreciated
I don’t have to go to the Isle Of Giants anymore! THANK GOD. I got all the raptors by getting in a group of 5 and just looting everything in a circle. I took quicker then I expected to get the White Raptor, and the eggs were dropped a lot. However you can only get one egg at a time, so I went back for a little bit. About 2 months ago I was randomly killing the MoP world bosses and the World Boss Triceratops drips :D! I love dinosaurs and all but I am glad that I never really have to step foot there again.
You should have mentioned how difficult obtaining the WinterSaber mount used to be. Players got 50 rep for each quest of getting five meat from chimaeras. This was the only quest available from 3000 to 1500 neural and the meat had a lower than 50 percent drop rate. Also, when you finally got five meat, the quest had to be turned in before anymore would drop. A second quest of killing 10 mobs a little further away opens at 1500 neutral. Also 50 rep. At honored, a third quest became available. This was much further away and involved in killing four types of elite mobs and four types of another elite mob. 50 rep. This quest line was difficult because it was a time sink. The meat drop rate was really low, and the number of mobs was also low and had longer spawn times. The quests for killing “mob x” also involved waiting for re-spawns and killing mobs which were unrelated to the quests. And seeing how this was in Azeroth, flying was not allowed. Twenty days? Try twenty weeks! :) All in all though, your video was pretty cool.
You could probably use the Whole Body Shrinka trinket (troll starting zone) for the Horde Venomhide ravasaur questline if you only play Horde. It's useful for completing other lowbie quests as a max level toon.
For the venomhide ravasuar, if you have the foam rubber sword then you can easily do the quest to get poisoned as that sword will not let you kill what you're attacking. I completed that quest easily using it.
Actually the Venomhide Ravasaur entry quest is super easy to do at max level with a particular engineering item that can be used by anybody. The "Goblin Dragon Gun", there weren't any on the AH for my server when I tried to to it (about 2 months ago at lvl 120) but I could buy the mats and a friend of mine with engineering made me the gun. After that the quest took 5-10mins and then the 20 days of dailies. I spent a long time trying to use other people's guides with rez sickness/naked/foam sword and couldn't get any of those methods to work. The engineering gun worked perfectly with no rez sickness or naked gimmicks involved.
There's a toy sword you can get from the toy vendor that allows max lvl toons to "baby hit" low level mobs without exploding them instantly... was very surprised this video didn't mention that.
The chopper with tracks is a good one, you can get it in stormwind in old town down a little hidden alley, but be prepared, it costs quite a bit of gold to get.
The Champion's Treadblade mount is an easy to get mount for the alliance. It costs 100k and you can get it in Stormwind from a shady vendor. This mount became available via the motorcycle competition that the Horde won. If you logged in on that day as Horde you got the mount for free. Otherwise, if you weren't playing then you can still get this mount with gold.
There's also the Red Drake from Wyrmrest Temple rep. I think you have to be at friendly to buy the tabard, but then just do Wrath dungeons. Utgard Pinnacle has a chance for the Blue Proto Drake or just do Pit of Saron for a chance to get a battered hilt. Cloud Serpents in Jade Forest - just go do dailies and when you get exalted you get a free one. You can either repeat on different toons to get them all free or buy the others. There are mounts with the Argent Tournament. You have to do the dailies and get exalted with the different factions to get some, but others are racial mounts that you can buy for not many tokens and a bit of gold. Just run Trial of the Champion on heroic to get them. To get past the jousting, equip a lance, start the instance & then dismount to fight. It helps if you have AoE or are ranged to not get stunned. If you do the WoD garrison missions, eventually you should get the one that give you Halaa tokens. You can get 2 more talbuk for that. You just have to make sure your faction is in charge of Halaa. Coalfist Gronnling comes up periodically on the mission table in WoD garrison or they are fairly cheap on the AH.
The new alapaca (black one) mount in Vol'Dun. Just be at the spawn area (it does move up and down paths) with the right food item and it is yours. Feed the alapaca some seaside leafy greens while it is spawned and the mount appears in your inventory. I got it last night purely by entering Vol'Dun at the right time and someone was there with extra food kind enough to give me 1. All you need is 1 of the food item.
For Isle of Giants, the biggest devilsaurs drop the most bones, followed by I think the triceratops mobs. A cycle of going between areas with both can give some really good payouts in bones.
I think the marsh hopper mounts should have a short quest line for them, like the cloud serpents or the winterspring saber mentioned earlier. I can just imagine Krag’wa asking you to help raise a new generation of his kin, and maybe spread his teachings around Zandalar... maybe even the world!
I think a neat idea for a video would be the worst grinds to do in modern WoW as a new/returning player. Stuff like Draenor/Broken Isles pathfinder, old rep grinds that are still just as hard as they used to be, that sort of thing. I think it would be an interesting look into stuff that was sort of "forgotten," that may or may not have any relevance anymore, and maybe also give bored veterans something to do. These grinds also don't have to be necessary or reward useful things, but I think it would be more interesting if they did.
Man I just recently got the Winterspring Frostsaber which I have wanted since back in Vanilla. Real easy daily for high level players. I also just got the skate and there is a faster way to do it, IF you have one of the rafts from Panda or surface tension form Angler fishing rod from Legion. if you take a left at the docks and head into the into rocks on top of the water. now if you position your self right and you have find fish(you really should have find fish) you just have to fish and keep an eye on your minimap you can get about four pools to show on that map. Now its faster with a raft but will work with the angler. So you fish hit the pool and keep fishing. should cut it down to 2 1/2 to 3 hours and you can cut that time further if you peel a feew cheap one off the AH. Hiruma you just reminded me that I got exalted rep with the skyguard back in BC with one of my old mage mains and I can go back and buy up the rest of the mounts, thanks dude. Monster difficult to get back at the time but should be much easier for players now.
For the talbuks in outland nagrand, there are two more that are super easy to get: The pvp/halaa ones. There is a mission to get all the tokens you need to buy them on the mission table of your base on draenor.
When I was farming for bones on the isle of giants, it was really stressful because of the competition until I came up with the phrase "Kill what you see, not what could be" - as in, stop and kill anything you can just as you see it, don't try and nab the T-rex that drops more bones and try to double back or skip dinos that drop less bones. Just make a circle and turn your brain off. It goes a lot faster than you think.
I remember killing all those arroakoa. It was funny because wod was out at the time and I was exiled with the outcasts That netherwing dragon grind though whoo boy I still remember-that quest were you threw boots at orcs
Thanks for the info. I didnt like WoD much, so I didnt pay attrntion to it. I had 50K apex crystals back then but only now I decided to farm the Fel Raven. I didn't know about the extra quests and Kazaak, so that information will definitely help a lot. 83k so far...
I miss those Cata-style faction tabards, can you imagine what a boost those could bring to unlocking Allied Races? Please bring that system back Blizzard!
People rushed reps via farming dungeons and maxed everything out then complained that they had nothing to do and cant even farm rep because it was all done they should not bring that system back
@@eistee12101 The system was from wrath but was changed in cata WOTLK ones only gave rep while in a max level dungeon while cata tabards gave rep no matter what cata dungeon you were in
Regarding the venomtide egg for Horde: I did the starting quest as a level 100 feral druid. I had to take off all of my gear, and kill myself to get the 10 minute sickness. Even then, I killed the venom raptors in just ~3 hits. I had to fly around the area for 4 hours to finally get enough, and that was without anybody else there.
