I know you’ve trained for years, but my gosh your sleight of hand for even the simplest of manoeuvres is amazing. Good to see you posting again Rich; it’s rather nostalgic for me having discovered you a few years ago when I got into magic at age 11 or 12 or something. It’s still my best way of entertaining people(until they say I’ve got a devil on my shoulder) and for good reason. The rubber band pop I found from you is still my favourite impromptu trick if I find a band lying around.
You're so right about rubber band tricks! I once spent an entire night in a bar doing almost nothing but the old rubber band through the thumb trick. I had cards and coins with me, but I never got to use them. People kept asking me to do the thumb trick over and over. I did the rubber band through another rubber band trick maybe about a half dozen times, too, but I couldn't believe how many times people wanted to see the rubber band go through my thumb.
Rich, your illusions and instructions help me bond with my 8-year-old daughter. She loves magic as much as I do, and your videos help us share that passion.
I truly enjoyed the simplicity of your magic. I was in education for 45 years, and magic is what makes children happy. I look forward to viewing and learning more from you. Thanks heaps!
Really enjoy your education on magic tricks. Magic always brings a smile to everyone's face no matter the age. What a great way to connect with others.
Love this video demonstrating the basics Rich. Perfect 👍 to bring in new magicians into this craft. I’m only 4 years in and I’m always learning more each day.
Thanks for sharing your videos! I share them with my magician friend and she loves them! We're hoping to film some drive by magic like you did in a few videos! 😆 Keep it up! You make people smile. 💜
I love your magic and your channel. I learn magic flourishes from this channel and magic cool 👍😎 I still expect from you more magic and prank, flourishes . Thank you rich fergison❤
It's usually not complicated but, it can be tedious at times. Magic is 95% practicing, most often in front of a mirror. It's a great advantage if you have long fingers and if your body but, specifically your hands are very flexible and dexterous. That is not to say that it's absolutely necessary to be a magician. It's just a slight advantage. With most tricks, once you know how they're done, you say to yourself, wow that's really logical and that's a whole lot easier than I thought it would be.
Yes... Quality magic takes a A LOT of practice... I've worked on effects/moves/techniques over 25+ and still not mastered. These are the category of easy to do and hopefully get people interested.
I love your videos with magic tricks. :) I work in the kindergarden and already used some magic tricks. They really loved it and even the adults were amazed. XD
I find your videos fascinating and educational. So, as a result, I have been a subscriber to your channel for several years now. I have a few questions. How long/ how may times of practice, on average. would you estimate it would take a beginner to "perfect" your "slight of hand" tricks that you illustrated in this video? How long did it take you to mastered them? Did you create or learned these tricks from some other person or source? BTW, I have roughly 60+ music videos on RU-vid. If you decide to view them, I hope you leave a comment.
Hi Rich , Thank You for showing us these awesome tricks. You ROCK . This video was excellent. Im going to watch it 10 more times to get those tricks perfect. Yesterday i watched for the 5th time, your video when you did 5 card / mind reading tricks with the gentleman who was going to play tennis afterwards. Lol. I was jumping out of my seat when you did those tricks. He didnt seem to excited. I still watch your videos with BRIAN BRUSHWOOD, coz I love that 6/7 card trick. I think the first video that i saw you do was when you showed us how to float things, and you said to use the very thin threads from ladies, or mens, lmao, stockings. Merry Christmas RICH, GLEN POLEN. PS. I always have chapstick in my pocket.
Hi Rich, do you have a magic tool kit for kids? If not, do you have one that you can recommend? I just want to buy it and have it delivered before X-mas. Thank you
Hey rich I started to do magic from 2016 And got this in 2019 in lockdown It's just not that I love to do magic and want that book But it's just that if I did not get it yet I will buy when I will stand on my own
Some random card tutorial got recommended to me. And I instantly thought of this guy. I used to watch him years ago. Then my account got hacked. I stopped whatching magic stuff and didn't sub to him after i made new account. It's so sad to see his channel dying :(
"If you do this for too long, you'll literally get a blister and then you'll know you're doing it right!" ---amazing use of words 😂 really inspired me!!
One time when I was visiting a Magic Shop in Las Vegas, I saw a basket of laminated four-leaf clovers by the register. I told the owner that that wasn't a good idea. He asked me "Why not?" I said, "It's not a good idea to press your luck." He laughed out loud & gave me one of the clovers. 6:55 Can you have 2 different colored rubber bands & have them switch places on your fingers?
