You could try alaia range as well. Their original is one beautiful leather-suede scent with pink pepper. Blanche on the other hand is beautiful powdery perfume with a bite to it. Both are must tries!

I love the classic Rive Gauche by YSL , Fiji by Guy Laroche and Paco Rabanne Calandre, been using these for almost half a century. Very classy, smells awesome, always receive compliments and asks what I'm wearing. I've tried numerous perfumes and always going back to these classics.

Thank you for these eclectic choices. I like "Chance" a lot, one of the very best designers' fruity-florals on the market, it's a friend's signature scent. I have to try samples of maison Micallef, they seem to be AMAZING ! I'm sure you will enjoy discovering Goutal, they are varied, subtle and always natural smelling , to my taste very good value for the price. I own and enjoy "le temps des rêves", a delicate orange blossom based scent my children love on me (doesn't project that much but lasts), and I recently ordered a 10ml decant of "sables", a warm and oh-so-cosy (male targeted but unisex) ambered immortelle-based one I fell in love with (I'm not usually a fan of ambers but this immortelle convinced me ! -linked to childhood memories of beaches in Corsica...-), the green and woody "bois d'Hadrien" is on my wishlist (reminds me of "sycomore" by Chanel) :)

Effortlessly elegant for me would be Dyptique's L'Ombre Dans L'eau, Delina La Rosee, absolutely anything from MFK but especially Oud Satin Mood or YSL Libre or Libre intense. All of these garner many compliments!

I remember smelling one frangrance that had a leather note in it and thought is was devine! its the Elizabeth Arden After Five, so you mentioning that note brought back memories and got me really intrigued ! Yana, I have worn Burberry perfume since my husband gave it to me in my gift(huge basket it was awesome) so that was 25 years ago. When my son lived at home he would complain if I tried to wear anything but Burberry original. I got a bottle of Burberry Brit that was a nice light scent that I have worn in the summer. I just turned 51 and I am making some changes and I feel like my fragrance should be changed. Major bump is that I have extremely sensitive skin and when I was young I wore avon fragrances because they never caused hives and nasty rashs. Avon fragrances never last and Burberry worked with no problems. I am a red head going grey, and I am classic dresser elegant if going out. I don't mind spending over a hundred dollars for a bottle but I feel like I don't know where to start. I love your video's and I completely agree with your nose. I do not like synthetic scents. If you could just give me a direction I would be very grateful.

Chanel Chance EDT and EDP are completely different fragrances. I prefer the EDT, like was mentioned in the video. The EDP is very strong and it has the cheap smelling fruitiness that is in Coco Mademoiselle EDP.

You know what, Yana. At the time you uploaded the video, I was in a perfumery sampling and spraying. I came home with 20+ blotters and I picked up some of your choices! I put NR Poudree on the 2nd place 😁, and the Oscar goes to.... Valentino Donna! 🏆👌You were right, it is a perfume I imagine on a woman like Monica Belucci - beauty & class. Chanel Chance is without discussion, I would put Gabrielle 😘😛, because it screams class to me. I tested Tiffany & Co, it is very watery, clean, dumb reach. From M. Micaleff I'd put Royal Muska. But overall I think you've made excellent choices, I am very curious to try the others, especially the Goutal one. The violet colour is elegant in essence, thus making the bottle class itself, you are right. And probably I would like to smell the Penhaligons, but the bottle scares me 😳. I would like you to make Part 2 of this video 😊

Yana, if you have patience with me... I've sampled also Bottega Veneta> Illusione. The sales assistant told me I would be not impressed - yes, I was not, then. But today, after 16 hours, when I smelled the blotter, it was a cross between Chanel Chance x NR Essence, which is sadly discontinued. Fruity elegance from Chance and iris powderiness from Essence. If you have not tried it yet, try it! I think it would pass the test of elegant fragrances. Adriana

I’d recommend Boucheron Patchouli d’Angkor. It’s a signature scent in the spirit of Chanel’s creamy patchouli (same patchouli in narciso white cube, Bvlgari splendida patchouli, tiffani intense and so on ..), perfect for any gender, radiating femininity on a woman and ethereal classy style on a man. And best of all you’ll be the only one in the room wearing it! I’d have to mention guerlain initial l’eau here (original version for sensual women who want to feel classy).

@@alinacalin9139 It’s not the kind of perfume that stops you in your tracks and I’m not even sure it’s the perfect patchouli for someone out on a quest, but the more you spend time with it, the more it blends with you. Like a creamy fragrant hug. It doesn’t intrude, but makes you feel clean and elegant. I didn’t realize it at first, until I found myself craving it each time after not having used it for a while. It just grows on you. Even if this one doesn’t work for you, I hope you find your perfect patchouli, Alina. And if you ever do, please share 🤗!

Great video! I went and ordered the testers to all on The Scented and was a little upset they didn't carry Tiffany & Co. My guess? The usual bias against Trump. I love perfumes and the only one I truly feel is perfect for me is Miss Dior. I can't seem to find anything as magic as that one. It's my only signature scent. Just spent a small fortune on fragrances they sell at my place of work, a store inside anyways. Wasted my hard earned money. Bought Marc Jacobs " Perfect" at the persuasion of the counter girl. I wanted to buy Paco Rabanne's "Fame" to which I tested a few days earlier and really liked. After purchasing Perfect, I regretted it. It's way too heavy for my taste. Almost drudgingly heavy. Jacobs "Daisy" is very nice. Truly a beautiful scent. But the store had this new one. I did test it against Paco's Fame and felt it wasn't as powdery and just had an edge to it. But after wearing it for 2 hours, I wished I had stuck to my guns and purchased the Paco, which I had spritzed on the other wrist. I hate when that happens. Buyers remorse. But at least I have this very pretty bottle of Marc Jacobs to display. I also bought blind a couple of weeks ago, Dolly Parton's "Scent from Above" (it was cheap- $36.00), and after opening the box and spraying on both wrists, gave it straight away to my coworker, who thought it was lovely. Why are they bringing back old lady perfumes? That's the second bottle of perfume I wasted good money on! The other one is Gucci Flora. Hated it. Bought it blind from the same store that often doesn't put out tester bottles. I looked online before purchasing at reviews and it seemed everybody loved it. It just smelled like "old lady" from the 40's. Awful. Believe it or not, I still wore it and finished the bottle. Never got a single compliment while wearing it. Gee, I wonder why? But anywho, I'm ordering what you suggested and hopefully, I'll be able to have another signature perfume beside Miss Dior. Thank you for your down to earth videos which I feel I can trust before all other channels reviewing fragrances. You are also beautiful to look at which is also a plus. Even us women enjoy the splendor of beauty. Thank you dear woman.

I have to be careful with fragrance, because I turn a lot of them either sweet and sickly, or they smell like cleaning products. I've been wearing the original Lolita Lempicka since it was released around 1996. My evening out fragrance is Givenchy Ange ou Demon. I also wear JPG Le Male, and some rose colognes. I would wear Angel Rose, if it was still available. My most rarely worn fragrance is Kilian Les Laisons Dangereuses, but that's for very special occasions. I've been wearing these fragrances for years, but I don't think people have signature fragrances so much anymore, do they?

I see some great fragrances in your list, and a couple I need to try. From my collection I would also add Givenchy Eau de Moiselle, Cartier Le Pathere, Prada Infusio D'Iris (or Amande).

Would you say Kelly caleche smells similar to Valentino Donna old formulation? Also did you read a review in fragrantica of an equestrian for the Kelly? So weird you mention an equestrian 😆

No I don't find it similar to Donna, and I haven't read the fragrantica review but I'm pretty sure it is commonly considered to have an equestrian association lol I didn't just make it up... At least I dont think

Help! I need perfume choices that smell YOUNG, but NOT cheap. I am now older and so NOW I can NOT endure any “old Lady” notes whatsoever, but I still want to smell like quality. Any ideas??

Many of these fragrances fit the bill, tbh 🥰 They're not dated or mature smelling. It really depends on the specific scent profile you're looking for. I hope my videos will help guide you to that special scent!

Have you smelled the original Chloe? You do not look old enough to have smelled it. It was my signature scent and I’d love to find a new version, but I’m not sure you are referring to the first Chloe.
