Didn't touch my first trial until I was around CP800. Was impressed by how easy it actually was in contrast to what I had expected... Now vet trials is a separate story.

I will never forget when I finally got my first trial set (false gods) thinking my dps would sky rocket when it actually went down. Lol that’s when I realized how much skill is actually involved in this game. I love it

True, mostly. I have 2 mains, one is the crafter, and the other is my antiquities toon. Dividing the labor (and skill points) between characters is a better and more enjoyable way to play the game. Also important to remember that antiquities leads are account-wide, so any toon can pick up a gold lead and your main can go get it.

So much good information in here, well done. My God, low - mid levels insisting on doing veteran dungeons is particularly frustrating.

Add ons...something we desperately need a form of for console. Whether it be skyshard hunting or lorebooks, whatever it may be the quality of life is not good enough on consoles compared to pc.

well... back then you actually needed a crafter - but ages ago! but for me it means i learn all my motifs etc on my stamsorc but my main stamden (which was not out then) is, just like you said, able to do all! I wish i would have watched videos years ago! love your content 👍🏻

My main since early release became Grand Master Crafter after little more than the 1st year (those research times takes a while). He is also my main PVE toon. He tanks group dungeons, veteran content, Trials, Arena, PVP, have done all the DLCs and Chapters, unlocked every skill point in each additional skill line. You can do everything on one toon if you want, but I also have alts for min/maxing Veteran DPS trials and dungeons, and a dedicated toon for PVP. I even built up a Warden and a Necro just so I could check out the classes.

Mate, everything in this vid is sooo true. Learnt most the hard way. I will say jewellery improvement mats take a lot of work. The double up is aarrrgh! But for all content except hm trials, blue will do. Keep these excellent vids coming. Your content is XLnT. Cheers

Ooooh, thank you so much for that very first point you mentioned! Cause I met people who have a special crafting character and who give away all the recipees and blueprints they pick up on the other characters. I wholeheartedly agree: There are more than enough skill points. And I too shudder at the mere thought of having to switch stuff around all the time cause only one char is my crafter. I want to be able to the thing I want to do on the char I am on, and not have to switch.

Oh, and another good video would be about dolmen etiquette. I see people closing anchor pinions way too early, and people using yanking chains or knock-back abilities all the time. This completely messes up the DoTs people are throwing down, and slows down the whole dark anchor clear by moving the mobs out of the high damage areas.

My main has been "a crafter" since the beginning, but the one thing I decided to not do on alts crafting wise is trait research beyond the traits I actually use on them. Otherwise if they got the skill point they get the crafting benefits too, especially for those juicy daily hirelings. Some of these other like the lockpicking and refining order just remind me of the ancestral superstition of poogie petting in monster hunter. "Pet the poogie before a hunt to increase your luck". If that's how it worked I wouldn't have the luck I have when I don't bother petting it!

Playing for 7 years and learned about food scaling and the ease of trials. Haven't tried one in a long time and didn't consider they would be easy now. Just like original dungeons. Op gear. I transmute all my gear but hadn't considered that for epic gear. I might farm some. 🤨👍

Myth - "This is the best channel for new players to learn the intricacies of this game." True.

I maxed out all 19 characters on crafting, including research. I make heaps of gold from writs, since at max tier you get a lot of gold quality upgrades.

For a Master Crafter- I would recommend people to try a night blade thief build... on mine it rushes throw story content delves and group events (often I don't have to fight anything at all, so there is a lot abilities I don't have to get skill points for until I want them). My master crafter thief makes me a lot of quick money from stilling and daily writs.

i remember not knowing much about trials and a friend of mine had me go into a trial at 160 and the group was really bad and i figured "oh wow this trial thing is insane". went to craglorn a few days ago with the same character and the same gear and it was such a fun age casual experience.

I had an alternate character as my crafter he’s a master crafter but now my main now my second crafter and now he’s almost a master crafter now I let my crafter look over motif’s a recipes first then my main gets the hand me downs

Left a crafting guild the second they all told me not to use my main for crafting. Was the silliest thing I've ever heard. There are so many skyshards and quests that award skill points. There's literally NO reason not to use your main. Personally I try to have a vamp nightblade as my crafter, because I love being a vamp nb and the max speed in stealth plus cloak makes harvesting a blast especially in hostile areas. But other than that it's senseless not to use your main. I tried to explain that to them but apparently I'm just new to the game after 6-7 years of dedicated playtime lol.

I've tested the refining fairly extensively. I'm going to have to say that the overall quantity of stuff you get is about the same, but the variety isn't the same. I'll get a lot more variety of stuff when refining in the default 10 block sets of stuff instead of bulk refining (like a stack of 200.) And I'll almost always get some green, blue, purple and gold (may be one to a few) when processing as stack of 200 doing it 10 at a time, but I've never seen that doing a stack of 200 all at once. Overall the RNG may work out over thousands of things refined, but if you're trying to get the rarer trait items to drop when refining, and you only need one or two, it's probably better to refine blocks of 10 at a time during the early game, until you have some of everything.

The real thing with having an alt as a crafter is inventory space if you dont have ESO+. Without ESO+, inventory management for crafting and regular play is a pain, much more of a pain than switching characters, especially when you dont have a true “main.”

My main is a crafter, scryer, in thieves guild, dark brotherhood, and well everything else and still has left over skill points. I do have every skyshard and skill point currently available in the game.

Wow I dodged a bullet with Veteran content xD I feel like a pretty stellar healer on my Templar, so I queued but never got into a dungeon. Decided to hold off till I could ask someone if it was a good idea to do Vet but I'm still in that phase of watching someone with the same setup that's like 1.5K on the champion tree decimate content that I take more time to handle. Legit though, I do have a character dedicated to just crafting cos' I'm so used to that being the norm in games. I started ESO back in it's alpha/beta days and only recently came back to such a massive overhaul of everything- I freaking love the game. For once I don't think I'm going to blip back into something else.

The main character as a crafter is mostly from at launch before all the added content they gave all those skill points. I still like having main as my crafter but an alt as my decon with those cp passives so I dont need to constantly spend gold to switch cp

The gold skyshard. Only ever done the main story questline on 2 characters have had 50+ characters

No mention of the Golden Skyshards in the depths of various trials. Confirmed fact.

Also who here besides me kinda miss the vet rank days you know before that got rid of vet ranks and had to grind through those 14 at first lvls What I really miss is the feel of progression like you go into a zone that is to high lvl for and you get wiped quickly or going into a low lvl zone and wiping out all the world boss like they were nothing

My ESO myth #1: guild traders are better than a global auction house.

I only really have a couple things I don't agree with here and they are personal preference. I have a separate crafter for making my character line up tidy; is it annoying sometimes? Yes, but by Hasturs crown does it make me feel good about having them there. If you want to make a separate crafter than go ahead, eso is an opportunity for you to try different things and ideas. Do not hop into trials if you do not feel that you personally are ready, even if you are in the high cp levels. If you do not think you are capable of doing trials but are curious about them, I suggest running with people you trust and see if you like them. If you don't like the way trials feel and prefer dungeons, then do dungeons instead. You don't need trial gear to make your character deal good damage, healing or tanking. Play the game at your own pace and take your time in trying different aspects of the game. Thank you, that is all.

I played Skyrim for about a year and decided to start ESO. I'm up to level 24. My question: I want to be able to craft my own storage containers but I am having trouble with understanding the crafting with ESO. I have all the houses in Skyrim and crafted all my gear, weapons and furnishings. Do you have a link for beginners on crafting? Also, if I want to access all DLC maps, etc., do I have to buy each individual expansion? Thanks for any advice.

The myth that bugs me: one guild mate, for some reason, thinks if a group wipes on a dungeon or trial boss it gets harder. Up to 3-5 times. Every wipe makes the boss harder. I don’t know why he thinks that but he brings it up like once a month if we wipe on a boss

I agree with no problem of having your main be your crafter, but is there an argument for having a dedicated crafter just for not having to swap CP slots and dedicating more CP points to it or is that not a big deal?

Im level 33 and have more skill points than I can spend... Seriously, story quests, main story, skyshards, dungeon quests. Skill points fall out of the sky. I have been spending skill points on 2h and dual wield on my sorc because I might decide to try stam sorc, one day, maybe.

On gear, I've never realy cared about it. I hate the idea of depending on your gear and would much prefer skills and passives to gear. My idea is that my character has to be dependable even if he/she's "naked".

What killsme about thinga is how people do not low key understand how penetration works. 🤣 Its literally one of the best traits on companion gear all around and some folks knock it. I purposefully look for 'cheap' comp gear with that trait, and buy them up.

Skyshard is very long run, public dungeon event not suitable for every leveling character. So best way is just leveling and storylines.

I got ran through a veteran dungeon after just hitting 50...got absolutely smashed by the main boss lol

Thank you for the video, very helpful. Just 1 question on skill points, are there enough skill points to unlock every skill on 1 character? I was always under the impression you couldn't have points in every skill line, i.e. Psijic, undaunted, pvp, skrying, crafting, thieves etc.

Could you please address the myth (?) of doing a vet DLC HM improving the drop chance of Style Motif page for head pieces? Also, does refining mats in low population areas (i.e. player homes vs. cities) improve drop chance of improvement mats? Edit : Another one! Does killing ALL the monsters at dolmens before destroying pinions spawn a tougher mini boss, therefore leading to better loot? Or can you destroy the pinions whenever ?

I have a stamina dk 2h that's my only toon at 510~ I'm enjoying it but magic dk looks so nice with its fire (green fire is ok i guess) do i pay the respec shrine and farm a starting overland set and make my way back up or do i make a new character. I understand cp carries over but don't want to grind 50 levels and then not have enough points for passives

There is 2 reasons to not run normals when your vet ranked. 1) normals are boring as hell for a vet 2) Vets steamrolling normal dungeons ruin it for new players

Hello, Im new to ESO, just hit CP102, but I heard a CP800-900 friend of mine says that if I bind a gear to my collection, it will get a minus 85% drop rate, so if I see a gear I really like, dont pick it up, or if I did, sell it it somewhere in the guild or something. i just wanna ask if the minus drop chance is true or not, thanks for your time

Well, will have to take some of the "myths" one at a time. 1) You need an alt crafter. Do you? Well. No. IF you want to NOT have a crafter for most of your game. Sure, you will EVENTUALLY get enough skill points to put into class abilities, weapons abilities, passives, AND crafting. But, that is EVENTUALLY. To start? No. You don't have enough skill points to put into everything. So, sure... if you EVENTUALLY want your main to be a crafter, you won't need an alt. But, you will not have a crafter for a very, very long time if you choose to do it this way. Remember, this youtuber has so much time in the game that they DO have that many skill points. YOU won't. 2) Fastest way to get skill points. Eh. You won't have a "fastest" way. Every way takes time. Sure, you can go zone to zone and farm skyshards. You can farm xp to get more levels. You can do story lines. But, nothing is "fast". If ZIS had made ways "fast", you wouldn't be spending the time they want you to spend in the game. 3) Refining until you get certain CP skills unlocked and max'd. Again. Sure. You CAN do this, IF you have 1400 CP points. But, you AREN'T going to have that many for a very, very long time. So... why wait? You shouldn't. Refine. Build your CP. But if you try to wait until you have your CP up that high, ESPECIALLY if you're only crafting on your main, good F'n luck. You won't have the CP to do both until you've spent 1,00's of hrs in the game like the youtuber. Make a main. Make an alt as a crafter. So your skill points and CP points are spent to specialize each one for their job.

Disagree a bit on the crafter toon. Having a higher level toon who can craft for other toons gives the lower-level toons the ability to use skill points elsewhere and they can pick up some of the crafting slack later. It works OK as a temporary thing, but not so well as a long-term thing.

Cp 160 dds are super bad. Please get to cp 500 before signing up for harder content. Cp boosts your ability to dmg, tank and heal by a lot
