There were people who said Dragon's breath sucked? I always thought it was pretty great. Then I got the catalyst done and it quickly became my favorite rocket launcher.
I knew as soon as I saw the thing that it was gonna be OP, especially on dawn chorus warlock. It's really hard to put down, but I finally got my Izanagi's catalyst, so I've been enjoying destroying bosses with that lately. DB is still my go to for the ogre in Grasp and the scorn knight in warlords ruin since the ignitions stagger them and keep you safe.
@@coreypark3244 The quest, not so much. basically just suffer through playlist activities until you lose you mind. GMs are nice if you can do them. As far as getting the kills, put on three heavy ammo finders/scavengers and it took me about 12 minutes in the opening encounter of grasp of avarice. Just spawnkill em in the cave and kill any stragglers with a primary.
This season I was planning to heavily use Sunshot as my main exotic and it definitely saw some use. However, I was so impressed by Dragon's Breath that it quickly stole the exotic slot (and I haven't even finished the catalyst yet).
Tractor being ranked lower than sleeper and anarchy is wild. Anarchy is a worse version of DB and Sleeper is a worse version of Levi, but Tractor fills a unique roll as the main 30% debuff source as well as suppression/overload, a damage source in a DPS rotation, a huge movement speed buff, and being able to boop enemies away.
Tractor should be way higher, everything outside of the top 4 barely gets use like tractor cannon does. Incredibly for every boss encounter in the game and still allows you to do crazy damage with specials and a super while keeping up a debuff for the rest of your team
Right? Plus Ghorn didn't even make the list even though it is what allows rockets to be the top damage contender. When I saw DB and Lament at the top 2 I accepted this list is just a troll or massive cope
@@SenorGermaine ghorn was #3. also, different activities would probably have different rankings. like he said for solo activities or for total damage, dragons breath is second to none.
@@raijinmeister when that one thing is a 30% debuff which is applicable everywhere, including solo content, yes it is a weapon that belongs that high. Tractor and G Horn are meta definers
@@Feedbackking13its not just radiant. Whisper was affected by the sniper 15% damage buff. throw on one or two unflinching mods and it is king of sustained damage
Liked this and the last 2 vids you dropped. Hoping you make a general exotic weapons “priorities list” essentially taking the top 5 or so of each and ranking them for which are most important for PVE.
Your point about Dragons Breath is old as Destiny itself. Same thing happened with Gally back when Xur sold it on wk 2 of the game. People thought wolfpack rounds sounded stupid.
6/10 of those are solar weapons, and apex predator and cataclysmic are both solar as well. I look forward to the day when the meta is not solar heavy weapons but instead something else. I miss the days of stasis and would love to see strand get some good DPS options.
Dragon's Breath this season makes so many tough GM settings super easy if a fireteam is running just run one of these. YOu shoot one rocket, the OL champ that spawned dies immediately and so does every ad within a 5 block radius. In just one rocket. Best all around exotic in the game right now. Totally agree.
What about Two-Tailed Fox? If you have catalyst for it, it debuffs targets, puts jolt on them and second shot on bosses cause ignition. I am using it on void hunter a lot, because I can clean room of adds and go invisible at the same time with just 1 shot, and if anything survives it has void debuff and jolt to deal with.
DB has amazing synergy with Weavewalk. You periodically spawn Threadlings like you do with other DOT weapons like Anarchy or Osteo, and it protects you from the napalm field and ignitions. In every activity, I'd use DB or Leviathan. In LLS, Gjallarhorn has helped me out a ton. Quick and easy kills. I'm baffled you ranked Lament that high. Nice list, I like it.
Will Dragons Breath stun Unstoppable champs after overload goes away with ignitions?? Good list btw!! Honorable mention to Eyes of Tomorrow. That ammo refund on kills makes it disgusting in add-dense content.
@@gregoryliaros2626 I have one. Uploaded it last week. It is a god roll guide. DIdn't get as many views as it should but I think there is a lot of good info in there!
Generally agree. DB made some master Lost Sectors easy mode. Thing is that some of your 10 have niche use. Wonder what is top 10 in use among the community?
I understand where you're coming from but it depends... If you use a linear instead of a Rocket i won't be angry... But If you are in Something Like a Sherpa run with three Newslights i can't tolerate someone using black tallon for example If He has Something better ( yes that happened )
Dragons Breath is the best heavy. No Debate. I full team running that weapon is insane and the explosion are amazing. Only thing I hate is that I’ve been killed by the explosions over time from standing to close
this shouldve been a top 5 and it couldve made sense but exotic heavies are so bad some of these feel like they shouldn't even be on the list. like techincally winterbite is better than acrius for close range dps, anarchy hasnt been used since season of the splicer and sleeper? really? theres so many good legendary linears, whisper, levi's breath and you reccommend sleeper??? 😭😭😭 and i wont mention the tractor ranking
Dragon’s Breath is really good for solo play, and since your channel is largely built around that I think it’s a fair #1. That said, in any group content there is no world where Gjally and Tractor are not the top 2, sorry lol.
Grand overture which has been the best exotic heavy in the game with arguably the best ammo economy and burst in the game got an honorable mention? It should have been number 1. Put a raid of 6 players using any of the exotics you listed vs 6 players using grand overture on every boss. It would be 1 phases vs new lights getting enrage wiped. The only exception would be levis breath. Ive heard that "it feels awful to use" excuse so many times yet no one can explain whats awful... Its like the worlds worst excuse for going out of your way to suck. It honestly makes me mad that i get so many trash players doing garbage dmg when the best heavy in the game can be purchased in the tower and for every video and dmg test explaining how good it is theres another video like this that says "it feels awful to use."
Also you can take lament and kick rocks. Id beat you on any fight with goldtusk yet it was number 2... Please emphasize these are weapons you like best and they aren't anywhere in reality to what's actually best. You are the reason i have full raids of ppl demanding others use lament or thunder lord on nezerac when he is probably the worst possible boss for those weapons. You are making players worse with this list. Lament on crota sure but ppl take these lists to heart and will try to use lament on. Oryx and tell the whole raid to use lament on oryx. Dont underestimate how much faith these ppl put in ideas that arent their own.
I would have put whisper of the worm on the list. While yes it's hard to use and a lot of the bosses in the game don't have large crits, it has the highest total damage from a weapon in the game
I’ve been off destiny for about 2 years and I’m just getting back into it. I picked up the dragons breath to start playing the witch queen campaign and deleted a tank with one single rocket. It’s been a favorite of mine since then.
Xenophage is really good. when i play raid with my friends who's newlight player, i will recommend them to use Xenophage for boss dps, it has decent dps, decent burst damage and easy to use
