Even if he had played the game, it's very likely that he simply would have read the name Yennefer from his script and pronounced it as Jennefer without even thinking about it because that's how it'd be pronounced where he's from. I have a Swedish friend who very often mispronounces words like that even though he knows that it's incorrect.

Not to mention Henry cavill being a Witcher fanatic having played all games and read all books. That's why he decided to play Geralt and he was great at it. Also for many people the time line was confusing as hell and that's the only huge downside to the shoe but once you understand it you will be left with an "OH YEAHHHHHHHH" expression. If you realy want to, type "byk" or "gry" in google translate and use it to listen how the word sounds. But anyway, Yennefer is not read as a Polish word, but as it would be read in English. In this video it's read wrong.

It's because he's Swedish and we Swedish people sometimes have hard to pronounce stuff. For example, 'J' can turn into 'Y', just as the 'th' sound turns into the 'd' sound. I dunno why some of us do this though...
