Forgive me. I am only on the 2nd vid I have seen from you (1st was 4 good days). I am 3 min in, and I am so excited to watch more. When you said, all that dark, unsatisfying endings, Russian-type of movies-I was SOLD. This is someone who likes what I like! My hubs, would be with your partner. He has barely EVER stayed awake til the end of one of my fav movies, and I can barely EVER stop eye rolling at his choices. Gonna binge watch, and make a list. There is going to be something for both of us. Thanks so much!

Great list! I'll have to add a bunch of these to my watchlist now, especially the horror recs I haven't seen yet. Sidebar question: After hearing Nick say he likes films as art and films that are darker/depressing than most mainstream filmgoers, I was surprised to see you all haven't reviewed any Lars von Trier films on the channel (or maybe I overlooked them?). I'm curious... any particular reason?

It’s interesting how we embrace movies, I like movies with clear cut resolutions. Leaving a movie dissatisfied just adds to my chaotic thought process. However, I understand your point. I absolutely love thought provoking books. Thanks for explaining your review process.

I really liked the Empty Man. It was interesting to see how cult’s connection to the Empty Man story. I know Saint Maud came out in 2019 but I think it came out widely until 2020. I would include Saint Maud, in my top movies for 2020.

Thank you both for this EPIC Best Of List, that transcends the limitations of 2020, and brings so many well deserving films to our attention. Only one gripe about the 40 Year Old Version. My dislike for the main character superseded the noteworthy narrative and supporting cast members. Found little to admire about this woman, who invited failure by her passive and self centered approach to life. Rather than root for her, I felt like she needed a hypothetical kick in the butt

Disappointed is a word to describe films of 2020. I actually have no desire to go back to a theater. I am a huge movie buff and used to go to the movies on Fridays to see the latest releases. But, now, if I want to see it I love being in my pajamas, eating food I have already paid for and on my couch!!!!!!! Shithouse is GREAT. But, Invisible Man I LOATHED. I laughed at Moss having fights with basically herself. Haha. Just made me laugh.

@@fishjellyfilmreviews just finished reading it! I can totally understand your take on it. It does come off as a bit extreme with the animal rights that's for sure. I guess I'm just a sucker for these rural nordic dramas that take place in sleepy towns most people will never even know exists. Having backpacked through a bunch in my early 20s and totally having my breath taken away while doing so may make me a bit biased! Thanks for the write up I really enjoyed it

So this was very informative and entertaining. I've seen most in your lists except _The Empty Man_ , so I'm going to do that today! I've been introduced to a lot of movies I'd never have known about through you guys, and really look forward to every review. All the best for 2021 🤗 Also, I agreed totally about Fantasy Island and Let's Scare Julie! They were _just awful_ and I hated myself for sitting through them.
