Our big questionnaire from last year asked you a ton of Mario Party questions and we're finally sharing the results in our Fan Vote series!
The first episode focuses on picks for your favorite items from the entire Mario Party series. Every person that voted got to pick three items each and the list is ranked by items with the most votes. Keep in mind items like the Mushroom and the Mushroom Orb count as the same item. I'm quite shocked Barter Box/Swap Card and Plunder Chest wasn't on this list. The people I play with use those Items so much. I guess Item Theft is not common. :P But the rest I like, everyone made great choices!

My top 3 favorite items, Reverse Shroom, Boo Bell and Boo repellent. And yes, these are before the lamp. I mean i am not gonna ignore grabbing a lamp if i can get one, but it is not a top 3 item for me. And warp block would be #4 on my list, if it allowed you to warp with a person of your choice.

8:22 Actually, in MP8 there is an alternative to the Magic Lamp... Except is exclusive to DK'S Treetop Temple. Just land on a DK Space! On that board, you land and DK throws you to the Star Space! Again, just on that one board.

That item would be too OP on any other board, especially Goomba's Booty Boardwalk & King Boo's Haunted Hideaway. It would also be totally non functional in Koopa's Tycoon Town & Bowser's Warped Orbit. Would it have been worth it for just two boards especially given the DK event on the his board?

My nostalgia kicked in as soon as Mario Party DS music came in, it was the first Mario Party I ever played! (Due to me being a pretty young individual)

Not best, favorite items. Otherwise the reverse mushroom would have been higher than #9.

i remember the zap orb the most. It was one of the most broken items i loved to use in Mario Party 7 I would always plop it right in front of my opponents space, and whatever they rolled you would lose 3 coins for every space. I abused this orb to a point where somebody went from 54 to 24 coins in one roll...funny and broken item

Not sure if someone else already said this, but the Chain Chomp bone its exists in Mario Party 7 specifically on Pyramid Park.

Reverse mushroom in MP3 can even bypass the arrow platform on Waluigi's Island and basically gives player a free choice of route

Oh it's just like that your countdowns article to Mario Party 10!! So... Is it a remplacement to that to keep us waiting for Super Mario Party? Also, amazing format, looks really good especially the transitions screens and your commentary is cool as well! Wasn't a fan of the duels in 1 to 3 because wagering a star is what makes this functionality so great in my opinion!

Awesome video! The choices were all really good too. I sometimes mess up on using the slow shroom and I go for a ten and then I get a one!!

Sluggish Shroom Orb is much better than the Slowgo Candy in Mario Party 8 because the Slowgo Candy halves the number on the Dice Block

Jump block (10 amibo ) , 4 yo cant get a star /go in the shop + the mikro pilz (ca. german name ) you can also dice 2 x (1-5) my english is not so good

I am surprised the plunder chest or swap card from mario party 4 is not on the list, it is actually a nice item, it stops other players to get a good item and ideal to steal an anti boo just before meeting Boo.

Imo the candies were the best each with there own costume for each of the candies like the spring one the ball one the 8bit one all of them were great!

The Boo Bell is hands down the most satisfying item. Sure a magic lamp is cheaper to use, but that sadistic glee of stealing a star over buying one is worth it. Mario Party is already a friendship ruining game, might as well go all out

The slow block kind of exists in 4 with the little mushroom. It only goes from 1-5 and makes you small enough to fit into certain areas.

I know It's Exclusive To Peach And Daisy, but the Flower Capsule/Orb lets You Ignore Traps, something the Bitsize Candy can't Do, just because something looks cooler than the other Dosen't automatically Make it "Better".

With Mario Party Superstars released, I don't know why Bowser Suit and Boo Repelent weren't included, especially with Lucky Spaces and minigames giving a lot of coins, while only 5-7 items are common each board (some only gotten though Spaces).

With the golden mushroom, if you are very lucky you can roll up to 30 spaces on the dice, because if you roll 10, 10 and 10 it equals 30.

The Flower Orb is actually better as you can bypass trap orb spaces along with getting coins.

I guess while it's stratetically helpful, it isn't the most interesting item to use and has a very defensive use, unlike the other items that seemingly you control, in order to do something.
