Hi! I taught elem school for years- then quit to sah/homeschool my twins. My work experience in reality wasn't helpful but having you to mentor me headed into 3rd has been huge! You have a true gift and your changing Mama's lives all over. At 44 I can learn new tricks and I can't wait to start this year and all my new TGATB curriculum, traditions, chores n more. Continue to keep it real. Thank you so much! Megan ❤
Your hair and makeup are 💯! 😍 Loving all of the back to homeschool content! It’s inspiring me to get motivated and get things ready for this school year. I’ve been in denial that summer is ending! 😭
Super love this. I have been homeschooling 15 plus years. We do most all you do. We go the weekend before we start with my husband and I take the kids to the mall ( a treat for our family). We eat at the food court (also a treat) and we let them pick out an outfit and then we stop by a special ice cream parlor that ends our summer break. :) We do pictures as well and we do cinnamon rolls with special fun plates and decor for the first day. My kids are teens and I still do this. I even did this the year my son graduated. Love the idea of theme poetry time. We did that for a long time. Now my kids go to work and etc after school so that has now become a very rare thing if we do anymore. :) We also did pumpkin picking up until last year. :) I love the idea of "friendsgiving"!!! I love the student yearbook!!!! At the end of the school year on our LAST day we do a trip to the donut shop!
Thank you Ashley!! I love to see your channel grow and all the mammas that you encourage. God gave you a gift, praying He will continue to use you to shine His light. I pick up some of our traditions from you and made few changes, our end of school year is a dinner, usually sushi and ice cream feast! Also with cards and certificates 😀 we started a new one this year, first school day was a hike, dinner out and ice cream! Friends giving is promising and secret Santa! Thanks for the ideas! God bless your school year!
❤️ ❤️ Love this! Thanks for sharing. I still need to do a yearbook for this crazy year. You are so pretty, sweet, real, and a blessing! Love your hair and makeup.
I was looking for good quality arts supplies, but feeling overwhelmed... I heard you mention on a past video about arteza , so I decided to give it a try . And now I am hooked!!! Thank you much for sharing I really appreciate your what you do! Blessings
We are back to school next week we can't wait 👌 our first day I have their desks set up with new and fun pens, novelty erasers, and notebooks. We do first day pictures and info about the kids then we can see how they change year to year! Thanks for the vid!
Thank you! I love this! We just found out we are distance learning the first part of the year. Now I have some great ideas on how to just make it special.
💡Great ideas especially the yearbook! Thanks! I’m finding new inspiration through your wonderful content. Please keep the videos coming. It’s been a really hard year for so many reasons for my family but now I just cannot wait to start the new year. ❤️📚🐥🎨🗺
I am a teacher turned homeschool mom and I'm so excited to have found your channel! My whiteboard hack is to cut a Me. Clean Magic Eraser in half. Just get it a tiny but wet and you will be good to go. My co-worker showed me the hack and I can't go back.
3D fabric paint pens?? Ava just said she needs those in her life! Lol!! What a great video and traditions. Back to school shopping is one of our favorite back to school traditions, too! We also have loved the themed poetry times. It's always a highlight of our months! PS: I really am SO thankful for all your picture taking! 😂
So I decided to give Arteza a try and placed an order with them and each one of my items came individually shipped so I had about five separate packages that came to me at five separate times has that happened to you because though I’m excited to try out the product I wasn’t too pleased with the excess shipping.
Ashley have you done a hair tutorial? I have long hair but maaaannnn I love your style! Do you do daily or dry shampoo on off days? Products you use? Tools you use?
Great ideas! Thanks for sharing! Also just watched your GRWM video and I hadn’t realized you said “Um” a lot. Lol! I will say I’ve noticed in RU-vid with others I follow as your channel gets bigger the more flack people seem to give, which is sad. But hang in there! You are awesome!
What basic art supplies would u buy first? I’m trying to buy my kids a few nicer supplies this year but trying not to over do it. My hubby just suddenly lost his job so I’m trying to be smart. We are using TGTB level 6, K and PreK this coming year. Thanks for your advice.
I loved listening to what your traditions are. I am not great at being creative with our schooling. My youngest is very opinionated and every time I try to do something "fun" she complains the whole time. My oldest is a senior so she doesn't love the cutesy stuff. The youngest is also into all the art stuff. She liked to see what supplies you got from Arteza, but wanted me to let you know that according to pronunciation guides the "e" in the middle is supposed to be a short vowel sound. You aren't the only one who pronounces it with the long "e" sound, but she cringes every time someone says it that way. LOL!
Thank you so much for your family serving at the Ronald McDonald house. My parents stayed in one when I 13 with a fractured skull and we stayed in one when our son had opened heart surgery when he was 8 months old. All of the family’s that volunteered and helped all the families with meals was such a blessing to us.
