🟦 What are Arteries?
Arteries are the blood vessels that transport oxygenated blood from the heart to the rest of the body. As you know, our bodies rely on oxygen for survival which means that our arteries serve a pretty important purpose. But sometimes our diet and lifestyle choices can cause arteries to become clogged which increases the likelihood of a heart attack or stroke. This is a term that is referred to as atherosclerosis and it often goes unnoticed until symptoms such as chest pain start to arise. There are definitely some foods that many of us eat that can increase the likelihood of a blockage. With that said, there are also certain foods that work to cleanse your arteries and keep them open as well.
➡️ Flaxseed
Flaxseeds are one of the most popular superfoods because they offer several health benefits for the human body.
➡️ Green Tea
Studies found that those who drink green tea regularly tend to have a healthier cardiovascular system than those who don't. Green tea is loaded with polyphenols which researchers believe to offer multiple health benefits, of course, including your heart and blood vessels.
➡️ Walnuts
In general, whenever you eat a meal that is high in fat content, it puts your arteries in a state of shock. Over time, this causes them to stiffen and become hardened.
➡️ Beets
Beets are known to be high in nitrates. When you eat beets, your body transforms their properties into nitric oxide which is a molecule that performs a number of important roles in the body.
➡️ Fish
That is because fish is loaded with omega-3 fatty acids. Studies found that the components of Omega-3's work to decrease the manifestation of cellular adhesion.
➡️ Beans
Beans are rich in fiber and are known for being a heart-healthy food. Like other foods that we've mentioned, beans also work to decrease plaque buildup as well.
➡️ Citrus Fruit
Not only is citrus fruit very tasty, it also contains vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants that may provide benefits for the cardiovascular system as well.
➡️ Turmeric
Turmeric is the bright yellow spice that is often found in Indian cuisine. It wasn't until recently that medical experts discovered its positive health benefits.
➡️ Cinnamon
It contains antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties that are responsible for improving cholesterol and blood pressure levels.
➡️ Oats
Oats contain antioxidants that inhibit inflammatory proteins which can lower LDL cholesterol levels and prevent atherosclerosis.
🟦 Foods to Avoid:
▪ Meat with a lot of fat
▪ High-fat cheese
▪ Butter
▪ Egg yolks
▪ Whole milk and cream
▪ Processed meats
▪ Fried foods
▪ Ice cream
▪ Soda
▪ Baked goods
▪ Foods with a lot of salt
▪ Foods that are high in sugar
Any food that is high in cholesterol, saturated fat, and/or trans fat will likely have negative effects on your entire cardiovascular system. Instead, you can opt for the healthier options that we talked about earlier in this video.

I've read that salmon is high in something else that I do t need but maybe trout or bass is ok; I've also been trying to figure out a way to prevent hunger in USA? We can get oats that aren't saturated in glycophosphate and grind it into oat flour or mix it with water to make oat milk which has more protein than what I've seen in whole milk or flour. I know that 4 cups of oats = 3.5 cups of oat flour if this helps anyone avoid a stroke or heart attack..... this is what killed my GM in 1980.

Yup. Older generation had to work hard everyday and they eat all the natural foods. They don't overeat and thus remain healthy. Unlike us who sit around and consume all the oily foods. I have seen farmers at the age of 80+ still go to their farms and do whatever they can and eat a nominal fresh and healthy diet in India.

I'm not a dietician, just a person whose watched several videos and read a few web pages on the internet. That being said, I've come across so many differing views when it comes to what to eat and what not to eat, what's considered healthy and what isn't and sometimes some information that says it doesn't matter concerning different foods. For instance, carbs in general are the energy source for our bodies, no opposing viewpoints so far. The issue is the types of carbs. The most agreed upon bad carb is sugar or HFCS. The most recent of my findings is the bad carb is actually fructose, hence high fructose corn syrup being a huge no no. One common bit of information about carbs is if you're going to consume them, make sure to consume them in natural form such as the whole fruit because of the fiber. Fiber helps to slow the metabolism of the sugars like a time release capsule. Drinking juices doesn't provide enough fiber so is almost as bad as drinking a soda. The next is the types of fats. Most seem to say saturated fat is bad, but more recent information I've come across says saturated fat is where the nutrients are. Avocados and coconuts for instance have saturated fat, but are widely considered healthy, while fat from a ribeye steak are considered unhealthy. A RU-vid creator once explained that beef fat is higher in omega-3 while pork and poultry are higher in omega-6. While omega-6 isn't a bad thing, it is pretty common to hear you need a good balance of omega-3 to omega-6 fatty acids. I never recall which fats are widely accepted as bad though, I think it was transfat. Another contradiction is the use of salt. Salt has been used as a spice and as a preservative in food for thousands of years. A few YT creators have covered salt. One saying that it would take over 10 grams a day to negatively affect your health, but less than 1 grams a day could also negatively affect your health. The other video I watched on the subject said salt will temporarily increase blood pressure, but your body will expel excess salt thus lowering your blood pressure. Then there's the discussion of cholesterol. Common knowledge is HDL ( high density lipid ) cholesterol is the good cholesterol. The differing opinion is in the LDL ( low density lipid ) cholesterol. Some of the information I've come across is LDL alone isn't bad, but LDL that raises your triglycerides or VLDL ( very low density lipid ) is what's considered the bad cholesterol. One bit of information I came across is cholesterol is what is converted to vitamin D when exposed to sunlight. So having a high LDL isn't a bad thing, unless your triglycerides are also high. Finally, vegetable oils. Read the history of vegetable oil, pretty disturbing to me. Some vegetable oils are considered to be healthy and some are to be avoided. It's been a few years since I looked into this information, but the only ones I can remember as being the healthiest are avocado, coconut and olive oils and stay away from seed oils. Many cultures eat carbs such as rice and potatoes and they don't have nearly the amount of health issues as Americans. Our diet has way too much sugar or hfcs, not enough fiber and probably too much of the wrong types of fats. This is because of either shelf life or taste or both. Make of it what you will, it seems the science isn't settled on what's healthy and perhaps it really does come down to genetics. There are some commonalities between the different stances among those that run the studies. One of the biggest reasons in my opinion for the disparity is the lack of control amongst test subjects. You'd have to control what the groups of participants eat for a significant amount of time to learn the ramifications for each effect. As stated, carbs, cholesterol, fat and salt are among the biggest contributors for debate. Because all of the tests I've heard of take the word of participants the studies can't be taken at face value. This is because people may forget or not want to admit that they deviated from the parameters of the experiment.

My biological great-uncle lived to be 104, and was mentally alert and always healthy. He looked about 65, and was spry, and lived in his own house. He never smoked and never drank any booze, but he ate mainly "country foods" all his life. Amazing how some people live over age 100 without trying, and some health gurus have died by age 60 or before. During the early 1980s, I knew a local couple who were both 100 and alert. They'd go on walks in good weather and walked about as if age 25. The husband still drove, locally. Amazing.

Eat what our ancestors ate and avoid the grains (bread, rice pasta), sugars, and processed carbs. Don't be afraid of eggs, cheese or grass-fed grass -finished beef, chicken, pork. The anti-meat, anti-fat crowd draws no distinction between grass fed beef and the garbage you get from the drive through at Arby's. They automatically assume that everyone who eats beef is eating fast food, soda and other garbage.

Yikes... glad you're alright. My best friend unfortunately didn't make it. But one thing I would've asked him, had I had the chance, is to describe exactly what that felt like? I'm sure if it ever happened to me it would be no question... but could you please describe what that felt like and where you felt the pain? I feel like just saying "numbness" or "chest pain" may be too broad, as I feel all sorts of minor pains and numbness especially when something has been impacted there and other places on and in my body all the time, but I'm still plenty able to engage in physical activities and live a normal life in the meantime... so I could only assume my heart is doing just fine. I do know that shortly before he passed, my friend seemed to have a harder time than usual moving furniture into his apartment when I and his other friend was rocking it out no problem.

Balance in everything is also key. Life us about balance. You can eat all the healthy food you want but if you live a sedentary lifestyle, it's actually worse than eat a mixture of junk and healthy foods but living an active lifestyle. People are surprised many of our more recent ancestors lived as long as they did, but historically they ate smaller meals and lived far more physical lifestyles than we do now, so it's not surprising at all. They burned what they put in. Think of your body like a car engine, as long as you put good fuel in it will run. However too much bad fuel or if you let it sit around and build condensation up in the gas tank, eventually it will cause the fuel system to fail and prevent the engine from starting.

@gordthor5351
@gordthor5351 2 года назад
Master Kush The problem with juicing is that you remove most of the fiber. Contrary to popular belief, the greatest benefit of fiber is slowing down the absorption rate of carbs. Eating protein and fats (preferably good fats) with carbs (balance all meals) also helps the rapid assimilation of carbs into blood sugar, which tends to spike insulin. Regular spiking of insulin is very bad for health and why so many people are unhealthy. The reason "white" anything is worse that "brown" (be it rice, bread, pasta........) is due to removing the fiber content. Fiber isn't just good for the colon. It is far more important to keep insulin in check. Sugar is a killer, because too much insulin leads to a long list of health problems and it has zero fiber and is a very fast acting carb. Rice cakes are even worse than table sugar and they are disgusting.
@newguy6935
@newguy6935 2 года назад
@@gordthor5351 I was just getting ready to type the same thing. You hit the nail on the head. Nature makes up for the fact that there is sugar in fruits by providing fiber in the fruits as well. The fiber coats the cillia of the intestinal walls which helps to lower the absorption of the sugar. Take out the fiber by juicing and you are basically drinking sugar and spiking your insulin, which is the greater evil, especially when done repeatedly. Fiber helps to remove "excess" cholesterol as well.

@@newguy6935 Absolutely, you clearly have done your research and sifted through the BS and found the consensus of what actually matters (the truth). I did forget to mention a very important part of fiber. It feeds the good bacteria in our digestive track which is imperative for good health. This is the reason why taking antibiotics unless you absolutely need them is a bad idea. Antibiotics aren't selectively, thus all bacteria is wiped out. The good and the bad. A current example would be people taking ivermectin (or other useless and /or harmful drugs) in hopes to beat covid, when the reality is that they are actually destroying their immune system when they wipe out their beneficial gut bacteria. A healthy immune system relies on a healthy gut. Fermented foods like yogurt are good for health, because it promotes good bacteria in the gut.
@newguy6935
@newguy6935 2 года назад
@@gordthor5351 From what little I understand about Ivermectin, it sounds like it's solely an anti-bacterial product. If that's the case, it would have absolutely no effect on the Covid virus as bacteria and viruses are two completely different things.

These are good but i was suprised chilli peppers weren't included in the list. Chilli peppers are loaded with anti oxidants that help the cardiovascular system and they can also help you lose weight because they boost the metabolism. Add peppers and green tea to your daily diet and you'll feel great and probably lose weight which is another great way to improve your overall health and blood circulation.

My grandaddy and grandma ate 2 to 3 eggs (chicken eggs) everyday for most of their lives and they lived into their 90's, grandma to 96. My grandma never had a major disease like cancer or heart disease, never took medications (except a topical for her varicose veins), never smoked, did have an occasional drink, did eat meat but not a lot, and never spent one blessed day in the hospital until the very last 2 weeks of her life. My grandpa smoked ciggies until he was 70 then gave up smoking for good on the advice of his doctor -- and he still lived another 22 years! He was still golfing, fishing and bowling into his 80's. There were many other factors that helped them to live long lives but I do partially attribute their longevity and good health to daily consumption of eggs --- and citrus fruits.

When you get into the RBST's, and other countless additives including man made oils such as Crisco, modified Canlola for example, processed foods, GMO's, margarine, steroids, intibiotics, neurotoxins such as Aspartame (Articial Sweeteners), Diacetyl (Artificial butter in popcorn), Monosodium Glutamate (MSG), Mercury (Fish/ Seafood), Aluminum (Additive in baking powder & caking agents). These toxins are part of the equation that promote serious health issues. Also, Olive Oil can be like Dr Jeckel and Mr Hide. It is to be consumed in it's natural state, not for cooking or frying so don't let it fool you because it changes with heat. The natural foods that God created for our consumption such as grass fed beef, chicken, milk, creams, butter, cheese, egg yolks etc, are actually healthy foods. Our bodies were created to burn fats not carbs. It is also scientifically proven that eggs are considered a miracle food because of their nutritional content and yolks actually bring down the LDL (bad) cholesterol so donot believe the myth that egg yolks are unhealthy. It is good to keep them in your diet. People need to start doing their research before they teach against such things. Take away all man made (genetically processed) foods and what do we have left? Everything that nature intended. Think about it... It's not about what he or she says. Do your own research and read the nutritional labels if you even care. Example; Look at the ingredient list on Jiffy or Peter Pan compared to Smuckers Natural Peanut Butter which only contains peanuts and sea salt. After all that, you are still dealing with pesticides that are not on the ingredients list if not Organic. Just sayin...
