I'd love the yeti race from twilight princess to reappear, Sakon can reappear as the only killable NPC as some sorta running gag, and twinrova were so fun as both bad and good guys in the N64 games!
Groose was absolutely robbed of a spot in Hyrule Warriors. The oot and tp segments both had two new characters join the main party (Darunia and Ruto, Agatha and Midna), but the ss segment only had Fi. You may say that it also had Ghirahim, but he’s a villain and tp had Zant as well, and you could count Zelda as the villain of the water temple given Wizro disguises himself as her and she becomes playable after beating said mission. If they end up making Hyrule Warriors 3 at any point it should just have Groose as the only playable character with thirty different weapons, he deserves it.
Byrne is someone I would love to reappear at some point. I really liked his character arc with his heroic sacrifice at the end, but I would also love to see more of him. A warrior with an iron claw wielding both spirit and demon magic would make for a killer secondary companion.
Grosse is my favorite character in Skyward Sword so of course I want him to make a come back but the problem is Grosse was only meant to be in Skyward Sword so I personally don't think Nintendo is going to bring him back but they could make a new character similar to Grosse that would be epic in my opinion.

@@AdventureRuben I was hoping Vaati would also end up being a smash character, but I can settle for him being in another Zelda game. And for that matter, I don't see why any Zelda antagonist can't make a reappearance. Except the old fashion lady from Triforce heroes.
Twinrova is also a forgotten character. Her last appearance is in Oracle of Ages and Seasons. And Kotake and Koume were brought back briefly in the Dragon Tears memories in Tears of the Kingdom. Really a shame that Nintendo didn’t bother to bring back this iconic baddie since they are stepmothers of Ganondorf.
I'd say the Hero's Shade from Twilight Princess is a forgotten character. Back in the day of Hyrule Warriors I really wanted the Hero's Shade to be a playable character, but I guess that spot was taken by Agitha. He wasn't even a costume in Breath of the Wild/ Tears of the Kingdom! Criminal!!
Truthfully I think the Minish need to make an appearance again, and not just a minish cap remake, like a whole new game entirely. Imagine like a Honey I Shrunk the Kids version of Zelda, but now with the open worldness of Botw/Totk. I would pay money to be able to fight regular sized enemies as if they were like Shadow of the Colossus, and not have it limited to just boss battles. Add in items like the dual clawshot, whip and the glider and you got yourself a fun way to climb up all terrain and enemies alike. It might even be cool to play as certain npc's just by climbing up on their shoulder and tagging along with them.
It's a shame they never added them to TOTK. We know they were planned at once point for BOTW but cut so TOTK would have been a good opportunity to revisit them.
Those are some interesting choices for character comebacks. I personally would like to see the mayor's receptionist from Majora's Mask appear in another game. Maybe give her a more major role this time.
On a serious note: she actually was part of the script initially, for Deku Princess section. But, it was getting a bit messy. So Ill move her to another video with Majora origin characters But she deserves special mention I wondered if she was an unused asset from OOT just like the mother of Anju
@@AdventureRuben To my knowledge, she wasn't an unused Ocarina of Time character. A beta image showed the bombchu girl in her place, implying she was a new NPC created for Majora's Mask.

Groose and Demise are such underused characters both are iconic are remembered characters in the Zelda franchise that in my mind, l would love to know what happened to him after Skyward Sword and they could do a Impa, where he help another incarnation of Link as an old man ! So many characters from Zelda, Mario and Sonic series that just seem to only make one appearance and are just forgotten by Sega or Nintendo, that need to come back l am still shocked about that Emerl is back in Shadow Generations, he’s hoping more forgotten characters from all series make a grand return !
Onox and Veran. He could have fitted with all the Dragons in Tears of the Kingdom. You could have fought him in his human form before he transformed into his true Dark Dragon form. Veran could fight you in her human or possess someone like Zelda or Purah after that she could transform into her true form of the Dark Fairy and after you defeat her she could use her spider, bee and tortoise forms.

About what happened to the Fairy Ocarina btw; as much as it isn't canon, the oot manga has sort of an explanation for what happened. During the escape of Zelda from Ganon and the following confrontation between Link and Ganon, it's shown that Ganon steals the Fairy Ocarina, thinking it's the Ocarina of Time. I think that's a pretty fair explanation for what happened to it.
Groose needs to stay gone forever. Saria should have never went away. Also you asked what happened to the ocarina she gave link, it was made of wood and the theory is when link went forward in time it decomposed.
A character like Malon i feel like will come back eventually but I really hope that deku and kokiri come back !! I LOVE THE DEKU SCRUBS AND KOKIRI SO MUCH!!
I don't need Saria herself to return (though I do have a weakness for green hair), but I am upset that TotK didn't have a Forest Sage. It still had a Goron Sage of Fire, and Zora Sage of Water, a Gerudo Sage, a Rito Sage, a Spirit Sage, a Sage of Light named Rauru, and a Sage of Time named Zelda, but nowhere in the game was a Forest Sage or a Kokiri/Korok Sage. The denizens of the forest really do seem to have fallen from grace after losing their humanoid forms. They were fine in Wind Waker, but relegated to a joke race in BotW and TotK. It would be somewhat funny if Saria or WW Fado appeared to the TotK sages only for none of them to recognize their race, only to eventually realize they're the precursors to the _Koroks_ of all things.
I think that the entire Kokiri tribe should come back in a new Zelda Game, but with a more Mirkwood motif as they dress more like Wood Elves with tribal tattoos and act very distrustful towards outsides. Not to mention that there were Dwarves in Link to the Past, maybe they should make a reappearance in the next Zelda Game as they have their own village in the snowy mountains, but are more like the Dwarves from Snow White. As for Groose, he and his friends should be Hylian Knights in the next Zelda game. As for Malon, she should be the owner of a Horse Barn that gives Link his new horse in the next Zelda game. Plus She should be neighbors with Anju who owns a Chicken farm.
i feel like a lot of unique characters are gone. the only one really standing out are the main characters nowadays. theres maybe one or two others i remember while the older games had a lot that stick out
Totally understand what ur saying. From the new NPCs and side characters very few are memorable. Instead secondary characters have been giving a lot of personality in the Champion era. Hopefully the team will consider making more memorable minor characters as they have done from OOT onwards
to me, the one that should come back is Revali. Because the English transitions making him into an unlikable villain, What Nintendo did was unforgivable! He truly deserved better. And I hope that I’m not alone on this.
If they bring back Vaati, they really need to make sure he doesn't brainstorm with Bowser again. Otherwise we'll end up with another game where he kidnaps a princess in order to force her to marry him. (Four Swords)

The bean seller from majoras mask and ocarina of time. Hear me out. Sure he’s a pretty forgettable character, being the guy who sells you magic beans to get around deku palace and zoras river before losing any importance for the rest of the game, but theres so much more depth to this character than people realize. He’s a morbidly obese hylian who sits around eating chips or beans.(often on a magic carpet) In ocarina of time he just does that, he sits around and stuffs his face. In majoras mask though, he’s not only found in a hostile foreign country, he’s found right under their nose; their palace too. Yeah, chilling in a cave under deku palace. He knows he’ll be executed if he’s found out, but he doesn’t give a shit! Just chilling on a carpet all cozy next to the campfire, secretly squatting in hostile territory. This man is a symbol of chill-ness that I think is especially important nowadays. Whether I’m high or not right now, I would smoke with this dude.
As much as I'd like to see any of them return, it wouldn't really be them, would it now? It would be just someone else, wearing their skin, and I don't know how much I'd enjoy it. I've fallen in love with their personality after all, so would I still like a character that looks similar but acts completely different? I don't think so.

When you say forgotten and underrated, do you mean by the fans or by Nintendo? If the former, I don't know any circle that forgot or underrates Malon, Groose, or Lindbeck. If it's the latter, I don't know if its so much they forgot them vs they moved on and looking for new fan favorites. I mean they still reference them and their games in Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom. Regarding the Deck royals, who knows, there is that Deku salesman in Echoes of Wisdom.

@AdventureRuben I'm really hoping that with all the love that the creators have for their characters and worlds, someday we will see the "Ultimate Legend of Zelda". Where instead of discarding the ideas at the end of a game, the developers will not only give a love letter to them, but give expansion. For example, I want to meet Navi again. Explore the Twilight realm with a descendant of/with Midna. Maybe there is a memorial for her, or to Link for saving them from Zant and Ganon. With as many times as I have seen Hyrule done, then redone, then done again...let's take the time to see some of the ways the past impacts the present of a game. Maybe Navi has become a guardian to the Sages. Perhaps Fi (I don't know how to spell her name and I am too lazy to look it up) ends up as a messenger for the 3 Goddesses. There is all this potential in some of the older games that could help world build a new iteration of Hyrule that is completely ignored by the Devs. I know I am in the minority when I say it, but that has caused the newer games to feel a lot more shallow. That's why I think this video is great, because you have acknowledged the biggest problem I have with Zelda as an IP. I know that there are some Easter eggs thrown in each game, but I am hoping for more depth than, "you can wear Majoras mask, hehe." Having said all that, I don't think they should be shallow things. Obviously, these should be handled delicately and tastefully. But nintendo has writers that are more than competent enough to do something like that. They aren't Ubisoft. Sorry for the rant.
@@oblivionkey2112 sounds like a script for Hyrule Warriors 3 The franchise has always been build around new stories and new characters unless when direct sequels have been made. Tingle and Beedle feel like the rare exemptions. Everything you said is true and personally I think that spin offs and even party games if done well would give fans more service in that regard, like the examples that I gave throughput the video. Mario gets sooo much of that and the rest of Nintendo franchises could do with more of that. HW and Cadence of Hyrule felt like good steps in that direction
While it is possible that OOT Link ends up with Malon since OOT Zelda is portrayed as a one-sided relationship of our hero (in both the game and manga), i would say that maybe reintroducing Malon to a different version that is less of a sweetheart to Link. Remember, Zelda is the reincarnation of the goddess Hylia and almost every version of Link is the Hero’s spirit reborn in every era of Hyrule if you remembered playing Skyward Sword. Zelink should remain default just as Mario x Peach is in every Super Mario Bros games.
Ok I cannot watch this. Please use real captions with real sentences. Slapping words up as you say them is a mockery of actual captions. People need those for accessibility and you do this. On the desktop, you can even customize the captions to fit your personal needs in terms of highlight and size to personalize and improve accessibility. Additionally, I’d be happy to spend a few hours manually verifying and correcting the captions to ensure accuracy and timing if needed. Coz currently the captions are autogenerated. So I hope this solution works and you can finish the video lemme know if it did or if you have any additional questions and of course which character would you like to see returning.
