I really like that the cars don't immediately disintegrate into pieces when they touch something. This allows for a little bit more risky manouvers and makes it way more interesting to watch than F1 for example. I hope the new cars will be as sturdy as well!
I know it's been said, but I wanted to put it this way, 'But formula one is a hundred k's an hour faster...' also, were those suspension failures just from hitting the curb? that's not sturdy :S
@@ThomasNing Yea, FE cars are sturdy in different areas. For example, the front wing is connected to the wheel covers and is a much simpler shape over F1. The suspension is just as prone to damage from hitting curbs, but is more protected by the sides and wheel covers for car on car collisions.
Andrew Mancini well we just saw a Gen 2 hit a curb and have the left rear give out. seems sub-optimal considering street racing (cough Lopez cough attack mode zone cough)
Well from what I heard, the local businesses were heavily compromised by the event and something about the hosting fee being much larger than at other circuits. I wish the city could have the ePrix back because the Montreal street circuit was by far the best in FE
For that, I would like to recommend the next FE Grand Prix in Canada to be in Trois-Rivière, as there's already a built-in hybrid circuit, if they can afford to host it.
Mexico City Season 3 was courtesy of a perfectly executed gamble for Di Grassi and he left lotsa people stunned. Compare him to D’Ambrosio who failed to finish only because he was too busy bunching everyone behind him coz the lack of his car’s pace compared to the “Audi”...
I'm surprised that the first ever formula E race crash, when Prost sent an overtaking Heidfeld flying acrobatics just before the finishing line, wasn't the number one crash of all!
One thing in FE which is different from formula 1 is drivers are more aggressive in FE. They don't care about their cars at all,Too much chaos on the corners and nobody cares about lines
This would've been better with a voice-over so we can concentrate on the race situations. It's hard to read the text and look at what's going on at the same time. But thanks for the video.
Mick van Breugel Indeed, that move was disgusting from him, I was mad when he hit Buemi. But hey, he's got the speed otherwise, proved himself to be a great racer, and is the driver of Audi, so I still support that guy. :D
Nah he is worse than Buemi and Vergne. He had by far the best car last year as well which made him look amazing. Once Audi sorted their problems, they were always on the podium.
An interesting rule would have been that if you crash out and you havent done your pitstop you could jump into the second car. That cant be made possible with the new regulations
Jude Lau True, but the FE cars are slower and have less grip than for example F1 cars at high speeds. So if they would drive on a real race track it would look slow and they would leave the track all the time.
FE is trash. The race tracks are awkward, the corners unnecessarily narrow, races are boring as hell and the cars have no grip at all. You can always see them slipping and spinning around the track because they refuse to drive with slicks and use usual street tires instead. The idea of a championship for electrical powered cars is good, the implementation however is very bad.
