I'm 72 years old, so Grey Flannel smells good on me, but to me it is only to be worn with a suit and tie. For some reason it seems much too formal (stuffy?) for anything else.

I laughed out loud when you said Joop! is a synthetic mess because it's so true. To me there are just no notes at all, it smells eerily identical to this tooth numbing gel my mom use to use when pulling my teeth out as a kid.

Years ago I blind bought The Dreamer at retail price. Took it home, opened it up, sprayed it, and instantly regretted it. I agree with you 100%. It smells like it’s for an old man. I gave it away. Grey Flannel has that similar type of smell. I think of bug spay every time I smell these.

Bro,I swear you were correct on every one of those..I used to get those frags at Marshall's and tj maxx..I quit those stores,when I experienced Tom Ford's TOBACCO OUD and OUD Wood, and even OMBRE leather, I realized why the price was high..newbies beware..Sample Creed Tom Ford or Killian, you'll immediately get where I'm coming from...you were SO spot on I subscribed, because i know you're honest..

Another great video and I gotta say I agree with you on some of these, at least the ones that I smelled. Cuba fragrances are all a synthetic mess and I wouldn’t give that to an enemy. Joop, Grey Flannel, Dreamer and Carrera black are all horrible too. The one that surprised me that you included in this list was Mont Blanc, I’m actually hunting for it. But after hearing your reasoning I can understand, I don’t like redundant bottles either.

The dreamer is a hate or love. I love it. But be easy on the spray it performs and projects good and ladies say they love to smell and might wear it themselves.

Totally with you on Versace dreamer! I did the same with Joop Homme and bought it because of the hype and ended up hating wearing it. Now the Geoffrey Beene Eau de Grey Flannel ! Smells Amazing! Nice aquatic summer scent! I also feel that Givenchy Gentlemen EDP is an old man powder fragrance. I've worn it twice can't dig it.

That’s what’s up,man!You are right about Emblem Absolu.I bought a gift set at TJMAXX two weeks ago,cause I have other two Emblems in my collection.So I ended up returning that.Like you sad smells like Boss Bottled and it was shitty performance on my skin.I sprayed 6 times and after 2 hours I barely could smell it.

I experimented with Grey Flannel my freshman year of college. I'm sure it was even stronger then than it is now. I was immediately turned off, and showered as soon as I got out of class. It was the worst fragrance I have ever worn. Maybe I was too young to appreciate it, but I totally understand what you're saying on this one. I guess you either love it or hate it.

Not all Cubas are bad. I've got into fragrances quite recently and I may not know much but I own Spicebomb Extreme, Maison Margela Jazz Club, Azzarro Wanted By Night etc... plus a shitload of Divain dupes like TF Tobacco Oud and Tobacco Vanille, Mancera Red Tobacco, Nasomatto Black Afgano, D&G The One and many many more... And I gotta say Cuba Red is one of my favourites.

Greetings from NYC, my brother! New subscriber here. 1 comment I have to make is in regards to the Cuba cologne you don't like. The mistake of getting Prestige Black is you should've gotten Prestige GOLD instead. Creamy, warm and sweet. Similar to a donut shop/ bakery. A beautiful gourmand! Super long lasting and perfect for the coldest winter days. Especially around the holidays. You MUST give that one a try. Keep up the great content, my brother. Cheers!

I gave The Dreamer to my teenage son, he likes it, I wasn't keen on it, the biggest issue for me was its lasting power or the lack of it! on my skin was appalling, couple hours if I was lucky, I too got sucked in by the hype. One of my worse blind buys though is Calvin Klien Reveal, this is awful, to me anyway, maybe it was the Vetiver that's not a note I like much, collects dust...lol Also Bentley Intense, too heavy, another bad buy for me, sold it soon after. My Mrs didn't like any of these either..lol

I actually like Grey Flannel. Very popular when I was young. But yes, it's a very unique fragance, with a strong 1970s vibe, and a prominent violet note. Definetely not everyone's cup of tea.

Back in the early 90's.....Joop was the club banger....If you had a bottle in college, you had to hide it cause everyone wanted in on some Joop....I actually still wear the Joop cologne at times, stays close to skin, won;t project, but I still like it. I think its better than Individual...Easily.

You have to let Grey Flannel settle for like an hour or two, after that amazing. I was like you after I first tried it, I disliked(I try to not use the H word)it. Set on my dresser for about 5,6 years and for some reason I picked it up one day and sprayed it on a random t shirt that was laying around. Walked past that shirt hrs later and smelled something great. I didn't know what it was I forgot I had sprayed that shirt. Walked past 3 or 4 times before I realized it was that t shirt. I couldn't believe how good GF smelled after a few hours of drying down. If u still have that bottle put some in an atomizer and spray it on a shirt your not wearing and let it sit a few hours you might change your mind. I never thought I would wear that cologne. I still don't know what made me pick it up after an half decade of not spraying it. Glad I did. I'm 2 years older than u and I feel confident wearing this older cologne.

I agree with you that it smells better in the air or the test strip that it will ever smell on your skin which is why it’s been relegated to the “vehicle air freshener” category and at some point to the “bathroom aerosol replacement” status at the crib. I bought dreamer, joop and individual based on Jeremy fragrance recommendations. They all became my bedroom scents, not for my skin. Especially individual, smells good on my bed and pillows, like clean/fresh laundry. I have many of the colognes TLTG recommended and they smell great. This is why i subscribed to this channel.

Joop Homme, to this day, is the worse blind buy purchase in my collection. The moment I smelled it, I was immediately turned off by it. It smells like what a male stripper would wear in the 80s

I love vintage Joop Homme. A beast. Todays version is garbage. Hardly any projection. One thing i cant understand. Why would someone be mad just because u dont like a cologne? Thats just not something worth getting mad about. Make a video on how to apply cologne

You have a horrible version of Joop! Try the 80s/90s vintage version. Complex raspberry jasmine cinnamon scent. The one you wore is literally cotton candy & BO- awful! Make sure the juice is a brownish red.

I just blind bought Tommy Bahamas 'Very Cool' tonight for 20 bucks. It leaves a lingering odour smelling of baby power. A definite waste of 20 bucks. That and Hollister's Festival Nite.

Grey Flannel…gotta’ go with two sprays and wait for the powdery dry down. My wife likes powdery frags. Versace “The Dreamer” smells very similar to Le Male with added tobacco. Once again, a couple of sprays does it. I gave away Nautica Voyage and Azzaro Wanted because with both, the dry downs on me made me cringe. I know, Heresy😂 Top most hated … “Fahrenheit”. This stuff smells like gasoline or oil or something nasty and actually repulses me.

I agree with all these not being good. Although if you like Le Male you'll like Cuba Gold and if you like Mugler A*Men you'll like Cuba Prestige. They even perform better then the originals. Cuba Red is supposed to be a Invictus clone, never tried it though. Cuba Prestige Black is supposed to be a Swiss Army clone and if Swiss Army smells that way yuck! Good video.

My regrets Bond No. 9's Cooper Square =Too Boozy Jones Beach= too much Calon Creed's Origional Santal= Too Sweet and cloying Acqua Di Parma Colonia Club= cant vibe with the Mint This list is based on the scent but I'm stickler for performance and I hate to get a scent and it doesnt last, that list would probably fill a page but tops would be Milliseme Imperiale but I love that stuff so I layer that with Parfumes Vintage's Sillage of Unicorns.2 to 1 ratio

I saw this vid a while back but what caught my eye since was what I thought you were holding and that's Cuba Prestige. While Cuba Black is trash as you stated Cuba Classic is a dead ringer for Pure Havanne (I own 2 bottles) after the 10 min mark. It's amazing and only $12. You have nothing to lose...but 12 bucks 🤷🏿‍♂️

You know I agree with you about the dreamer. I actually gave that bottle away. I feel like I should have had to pay them to take it from me. It just was absolutely terrible. I think it's the only Versace that I don't like

I can understand what you mean when you call Joop Homme as "Synthetic Mess", It is one of the worst fragrances I have smelled. Thank god, I did not spend money on that. If Montblanc Individuel smells like that, then I am dropping my idea of buying that. The oil version of Silver smells much better.
