Gucci Envy, while released in 1998, flourished during this decade. Better than Usual Rive Gauche, this scent is as close as you'll get to a designer perfect scent!

L Instant de Guerlain Edt is an absolute masterpiece, I agree. Superior than the Edp. Louder doesn't mean better. Very nice video.

Sotd was actually Bentley for Men Absolute layered with Perfume Parlour's take on Gucci Pour Homme! Lovely combo. I have Lapidus Pour Lui too. Gotta shoutout Musc Ravageur from 2000 and kinda suprised Chris didn't mention Helmut Lang from that same year. Very powdery floral lavender cologne from what I remember. And Crrrrrristobal pour homme, also from 2000! For me it's gotta be Gucci PH, M7, Versace Man, Ambre Narguille, Lacoste Style in Play, Dior Homme, LDDM, and all those great Guerlains like Derby, LIDGE and Angelique Noire that came out in '05. YSL's L'homme, LNDL, Varvatos Vintage, TdH, Pure Malt, SDV, Tuscan leather, Cuir de Russie, Ambre Nuit, Tobacco Vanille, Coromandel, 1740, Gucci PH2, DHI, Jubilation XXV and Costume National's Homme all get shoutouts. Such a fantastic decade. To me, the last great hurrah before the unofficial death of designer perfumery in 2010. 😄

Dan, where's Allure Homme Sport? Wasn't it your signature scent in the early 2000s?

I owned silver black and onyx , in my opinion they’re completely different. Both are great. For me onyx more 💈.

Far be it for me to contradict you, but you mean Maurice Roucel surely.... :D I have you to thank for the discovery of Bogart PH back in the autumn of 2019. It's great value and I got a second bottle from All Beauty recently for a crazily-low price. I was glad to find too that amongst the fragrances discussed were some of my favourites, Dior Homme and L'Instant de Guerlain of which the Extreme is my favourite. Sadly both versions now discontinued. Incidentally, did you precipitate a rush on that Azzaro Silver Black? All Beauty have run out.... Bogart Pour homme used to be a hidden gem. Looks like the company understood the fan following and decided to screw up this beautiful fragrance. The latest version sucks big time.

Silver Black and Onyx have two completely different note listings on Fragrantica, but the reviews say it is the same thing. Fragrantica...I was able to get SB for half the price of Onyx at least.
