You should make these videos on WatchMojoUK so that the PROPER title of the movie, "Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone" can be used. Only the yanks call it by this other name, no-one else.

There's a small moment that I can't remember if they put in the movie in which Ron shows how much he cares about Harry. After Harry takes him to the mirror, Ron starts to notice Harry is not well so Ron advices him not to go back again because he's worried. I dunno, it's just a detail but it goes to show how protective and strong willed Ron can be by caring more about his friend rather than what the mirror showed him.

Aside from the _hopping_ chocolate frog, those scenes of wooden staircases waving around like drunken drawbridges is probably the most ludicrous example of the filmmakers' failure to understand Rowling's written words. How could anyone ever arrive at the wrong destination after standing on one? All you'd have to do is retrace your steps. I'm quite certain she was talking about staircases _enclosed_ within the walls, like those shown in other scenes (even the one where the trio parted ways for the night). However, the friendship shown from the very beginning is heartwarming: they become Harry's family.

It’s because American publishers thought the word “philosopher” would turn off children from the book, so the changed it to “sorcerer”.

Yes, two grown ass adults who are perfectly capable of working and earning their own money would definitely take charity from an eleven year old orphan. That’s not completely classless and wrong at all. And I don’t know what books you read, but Harry did try to share his money with the Weasleys. He gave the books Lockhart gave him for free to Ginny, he gave his winnings to the Weasley twins and many times offered to buy things for Ron who always refused because he was too proud to take charity.
